I took an informal and unscientific poll this weekend. Not a single RW/RR person I talked to has watched the DC season. Only two of the 10 watched more than 10 minutes of Cancun.
Well that's interesting....makes me wonder why I'm still watching anymore. :p
Twitter followers Snooki almost 200,000 Random RWDC followers 4000 That says it all
Amazing. One of my other complaints about Real World casting for DC is that even though they did a great job picking a cast that collectively tells a story, they did not pick anyone that is truly rememberable. If you look at Jersey Shore -- the show is dominiated by Snookie and The Situation (at least in terms of who people remember or talk about the most)....I think it could benefit RW if they did put 1 or 2 people on the show that stand out above the rest in order to make the season rememberable.

Real World casts never strike me as TV junkies.

I mean is anyone going to be talking about them months after this season ends?
# 11 doesn't watch either!
Good to know. ;) Is she perhaps curled up on Wednesday evenings with a delicious bottle of red and a well worn copy of The Brothers Karamazov?
Strangely D.C. has been the one season where I watch the dailies regularly. It hasn't been all that bad to me honestly but I don't think it has that "capture your interest" factor. Still I'll ride this ship until the end.

I am over this season. I didn't think I would say it, but I can't wait till FM2 Oh, and you "location" is creepy :D
Yeah this season hasn't been that exciting.
Yes noone on this cast is memorable. I mean is anyone going to be talking about them months after this season ends?
They did a great job with Mike's story though -- but I don't think he will be remembered.
They did a great job with Mike's story though -- but I don't think he will be remembered.
I really enjoyed that story.
Where do you gys usually find the ratings for the episodes?
I think tvbythenumbers.. I may be wrong. Mr. Blanky??
I really enjoyed that story.
Yea -- I've only seen the YouTube clips. I haven't watched any episodes this season minus the first one or two.
Where do you gys usually find the ratings for the episodes?
I get the numbers from Travis Yanan. He is great at posting numbers daily for cable and broadcast shows.
i have a feeling that there won't be a drop in ratings for this episode. If anything, there might even be a slight increase. But thats just me being really optimistic.
Well well well... Real World DC (10pm) - 1.545 million viewers - 1.1/2 HH - 0.8/2 A18-49 (Sorry Blanky, know you usually post these but I came across it as I was searching for something else)

I knew it!! lol. I'm sure we'll be seeing ratings around the same numbers as this week, if not higher. These past 3 episodes are a big change from what the season has been. Especially with that hook with Andrew falling off the banister, you know that'll draw more people in!
Good stuff. It's sad that the show that got me into MTV was doing so poorly. But, I honestly do think I connected with the characters much more with the half hour episodes. Even with awful seasons like Sydney, I always wanted to see more and couldn't wait to see them on Challenges and such. With more recent seasons they just seem so short, they'r enot really in your life for all that long.
It looks like Andrew getting flung over the railing actually helped the show out a little bit. Which honestly saved it from falling further and I am guessing next week we might see the same numbers.
(Sorry Blanky, know you usually post these but I came across it as I was searching for something else)
No worries, molds. :) I am happy to see a big pick up... 400,000 viewers is a lot. Hopefully with that big "To Be Continued" at the end of the recent episode the increase will continue.
Episode 10 Ratings Real World DC (10pm) - 1.551 million viewers - 1.1/2 HH - 0.9/3 A18-49 D.C actually holds steady, with a very small increase. I predict that the numbers will fall again next week.

I'm surprised, it was a ****** episode. We've got four my episodes left, lets not make this the Emily and Ty show anymore please BMP.
I'm surprised, it was a ****** episode. Rather, you can predict the ratings by the previous episode. Everyone was intrigued by Andrew's fall and everyone tuned in to see the outcome. They were expecting good drama and wanted to see if Ty went home or not. I'm pretty sure there will be a decline in next week's ratings because people were disappointed with how this week's episode went.
I wonder how they judge the ratings. Do they measure by how many people are tuned in at a certain time (i.e., 10:19 pm), or how many people watch the entire episode?

I also read that they were going to start counting the online views, so I think that will help.
