Jacquese wasn't 18. Wasn't he 21 or 22? The only 18 year olds on Real World that I can recall off the top of my head were Jon from LA and Ashli from Sydney (not sure of she was 18 or 19). Jillian was 18 during her RR show and Evelyn was 18 during Fresh Meat... but that's not Real World.

I think its hard when they are so young and then you have 21 and 22 year olds who want to head to bars or places that the younger ones can't go to.

I wish that they would have gone somewhere new this season instead of back to somewhere we've already seen.
Some of those would just not be considered like Cleveland, Boulder, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Aspen, and certainly not Jersey Shore.
Julie from the first season was 18 as well if I remember correctly
There is a thread that details the youngest and oldest person on each season, through Cancun. (Real World Age Statistics) As for being 18...if you're interesting enough, I don't see why they wouldn't want to put you on the show. However, if the season is in the US, it's probably not going to happen. There have only been 4 18 year olds on the Real World, the most recent being Simon from the Paris season (where 18 is the legal drinking age).
actually Simon was 19 I thought, but I mean if its in the U.S. what difference does it make if a cast member is 18 or 20, they still can't drink. Wes and Nehemiah were both 19, Cameran was 19, Tricia and Ashlii were both 19, Kelly Anne was 20, Jonna was 20, Theo was 19, Mallory and Simon were 19, Jacquese I swear was 18 or 19. Anyways what I'm trying to say the drinking age shouldn't matter they will show it. I remember seeing Wes hammered alot in the Austin season yet he was only 19. I bet they hook you up with a fake id if your on the show and under 21, they just don't show it for obvious reasons. Wait didn't Cameran get her "fake 'i.d." snatched away from her during the ep where Bran and Robyn get arrested?
Some of those would just not be considered like Cleveland, Boulder, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Aspen, and certainly not Jersey Shore.
Actually I thought I read somewhere that they were going to go to Aspen or Boulder (of course this was before Denver but still). Jersey Shore why not, if that show ever gets cancelled and runs out of fanbase, they could certainly film a party season there with non "guidos". Minneapolis and Atlanta are of course cities they'd consider, why not?
I highly doubt that Real World will be extended beyond its current contract, let alone to 20 more seasons. I can actually see rw going on for a long time, it can never get old. Theres to many generations that love the show and grew up with it, and even more to be influenced by and keep watching. The idea of 8 strangers in a house can never get old, because there are so many diverse and attractive people out there whose stories should be told. Also that thing they did before the Brooklyn season aired that whole "real world secrets revealed" made it seem like they want to keep the real world on forever, with the optimistic way they kept talking about the show, and what its done.

He would have just turned 18 in November 2002. Jacquese: 8/19/1983. Filming for RW San Diego was August-December 2003. He would have just turned 20. Tricia, Ashli, Kelly Anne, Mallory, Simon, and Jonna were in countries where the legal drinking age is 18. I'm not BMP, so I don't know how they feel about underage drinking, but hooking someone up with a fake ID is illegal, so I think they'd stray away from that. This show is called The Real World. They can't force people not to drink. That wouldn't be real. But I'm sure they make them sign contracts saying that they won't hold BMP liable if anything were to happen. I think the reason that they stray away from having 18 year olds on the show is because generally, 18 year olds are not mature.

Why continue to spend a **** load of money on a show that, by the time their current contract is up, might get them 1 million viewers? The idea of 8 strangers in a house can absolutely get old...as shown by their ratings. I can not see this show going on for a long time with the same size fanbase it had 10 years ago. That thing they did before the Brooklyn season aired was right after they renewed their contract for 4 more seasons...and the ratings have plummeted since then. I see no good reason for the contract to be renewed. I'm sure they want to make people happy, but if no one's watching the show, what's the point?
I disagree, you never know seasons 24, 25, or 26 could be the season(s) that give the show back its viewers. You never know what could happen. If mtv would do better advertising on their network, to pull in a new generation (like what they did with Austin), I guarantee it could be saved. But really D.C. is actually doing pretty good I thought? For me its the first time in a long time I've actually heard people talk about it and be like "did you watch real world last night" outside of websites like these. Mike is building an amazing fan base and I really don't see the show ending anytime soon. But thats just my opinion...
oh yeah and Svetlana was 19 lol and she was the best cast member that season. She practically made that season. But I mean still wouldn't an immature 18 make for some interesting drama? Take an 18/19 year old from an incredibly small town and have them be ignorant on things and put them in a cast full of educated 21-24 year olds who have many opinions on things, that would be awesome to watch! Oh wait I just described Key West...lol but thats what I'm trying to say I think the show is lacking younger people. I think they would attract more viewers if the high school/middle school generation (who is prob. the biggest part of the rw's and all of mtvs fanbase) had someone of close age that they could relate to. Just saying
I don't know what could happen, but I'd like to think I have a pretty good idea. They don't just need one season to do it. They need two. Or three. They need a huge turnaround. And a miracle.
If mtv would do better advertising on their network, to pull in a new generation (like what they did with Austin), I guarantee it could be saved. Hmmm well I still don't see them canceling it any time soon, the real world has had lower ratings than this. I think if they ever did cancel it they would have to bring it back so they can have more people on the challenges.
Then again what would be on mtv? Real World airs like everyday.

And the challenges are on the same page as the Real World. They'll probably end around the same time, with the challenges going a little longer to give the last seasons a chance to compete.
Then again what would be on mtv? Real World airs like everyday.
Probably reruns of other ****** shows, like Parental Control.
I think making the show Party/Serious works well especially for the filming schedule the city seem to be hot and tropical for party season with a lot of things to do (Spring Break and Mardi ras) whilest searious season tend to happen in east and are cities where one goes to make it or get there voice heard with that being said the only cities left like that are Atlanta(beleive it or ot alot of artist come here to make it big either when NYC doesn't work or its too exspenive) and Houston(They can have a serious season with people who want to help and Musicians)
is there any way we could contact B/M ? to maybe give suggestions or state or concerns about the (possible) future of The Real World?

I vote Real World Canada?

Or MTV can reinvent the wheel with another show that houses 7 strangers. HHhhhmmmm Jersey Shore?

It would get old after awhile, pretty much the same stuff would be happening. But on a side not I wanna see a gay guido, that would be awesome.
Back in the day pretty much all throughout the 90's they only had one real world per year, but in more recent years they try to do it seems as many real worlds as possible. Just last year we had 3 seasons premiere all in the same year and I think if they don't slow down they could run out of cities. Also it could make fans crave real world more and since they would have to wait longer when the new season begins it would make them more likely to want to tune in each week. IDK what do y'all think?

I don't doubt that they did that because they figured the show was so popular, they wanted to give their viewers more.
Did anyone else notice how undiverse the cast of Sydney was that season? Pretty much Cohutta was just a more exaggerated hick version of Dunbar they both had that southern boy charm thing going for 'em, and then Shauvon and Tricia look just alike you might as well say Tricia would grow up to be just like Shauvon. Also Kelly-Anne and Tricia both have that *****y high school girl thing going for 'em, they didn't seem very different from each other at all. Not only that but wasn't Parisa the only minority in this cast though?, no black people (*** mtv), & how do you do a season in Sydney and not have atleast one gay/lesbian cast member either? *** I'd say the only original cast members of that season were Parisa and of course Isaac. He was the real only reason to watch that season, unless of course Dunbar had his shirt off.
im actually hoping that The Real World takes some notes from the Bad Girls Club and cast people who are STRONG WILLED AND "NOT" GOING TO CHANGE...at least thats what they think. i'm hoping that the nest seasons get people who actually dont want to change how they are, l ike the bad girls club, but who are actually educated and realize by the end what there flaws are. i think the DC cast is too...i cant describe it..."buddy-buddy"? no reali dramam. just the kidish stuff with emily and ty. i want to see the OLD real world drama in seasons like Denver and Key West.

My favorite characters were Parisa, Issac and Trisha (not because I liked her, but because she was interesting and entertaining). It was refreshing to finally see a character (Parisa) that didn't fit the normal description of a typical real world cast member: white, black and gay. The cast members may not have been ethnically diverse, but they were diverse personality wise. To me the season was like watching a perfectly executed psychology experiment, all the personalities worked to make a very interesting storyline; a key ingredient the real world has been lacking for a while. I think Sydney was one of the best recent real world seasons. The cast members were constantly at odds with one another, but they knew how to work together or at least try. And there wouldn't have been a need to place a gay person in the house, Sydney the city is gay it's-self. And another thing can they stop putting gay men in the house? can we get some hot lesbians like Genesis from Boston? Hot LESBIANS! ... BTW 7 is better than 8 : )
Real World was turned to 2 seasons per year at the height of its popularity.
It was refreshing to finally see a character (Parisa) that didn't fit the normal description of a typical real world cast member
Actually I like that Goth girl that just recently died from the Real World San Diego, she's the most different cast member from the whole series, she was literally an outcast/edgy and she really changed throughout the season until she left the show.
