Hee! That's awesome. Like I said before, I'm not usually a fan of flashback episodes, but I'm actually looking a little bit forward to this one.
Why do we have reruns this thursday? didn't it JUST come back like 2 episodes ago!!!!
Major bummer. It was just getting rolling.
I thought it was a pretty good episode. I liked the Mer/Der interactions (I know...)
The Christina/Owen/Teddy "relationship" is a little odd to me.
And as far as Sloane goes...saw that coming with her. I feel bad for Mark, but I'm glad she's gone (if she stays gone).
I don't know how I feel about them trying to hook up Bailey. I don't have any interest in seeing her date, but that's just me.
I'm looking forward to the flashback episode next week though!

It annoys me less than it once did, probably because they are focusing less on it.
The Christina/Owen/Teddy "relationship" is a little odd to me.
Owen just needs to get with Teddy. Christina doesn't deserve a boyfriend...Too self centered. She's better off sticking with her career plan. Teddy has real emotion.
I don't know how I feel about them trying to hook up Bailey. I don't have any interest in seeing her date, but that's just me.
Very forced. Nothing feels right about it. Probably the main reason I disliked the episode, well besides the Mer/Der stuff, the Sloan daughter stuff, the awkward as usual Owen dialog, or the the husband wife thing that I didn't care about at all...
I'm looking forward to the flashback episode next week though!
I hate flashback episodes....
They are basically wasted episodes as the plot is not furthered along.

No. No no no no no no no. Maybe I'm just biased though because I always root for the "established" couples, not the ones that come in from the outside. Personal preference I guess.
I've always liked the Mark/Callie dynamic... I thought it was especially sweet this week, between her offering to help raise the baby & her trying to dismantle the crib before he got home....
I'm about 5 minutes in Thursday's episode.
Can I skip this episode and not miss anything important? It is going to be a struggle to watch....
Edit: I think ice dancing might be more entertaining. Hitting delete.

Um, yeah. I thought I'd enjoy it but it was pretty boring to me. I kind of half-watched it and started doing other things. There's no moving forward of any on-going plots (most characters were completely absent), so you'd be safe to skip it. :)

What happens with the Chief? I guess he gives a speech? That is where I decided to call it a show.
Is there any hint to his future at the Hospital?

Yeah, he gives his speech. Talking about he and Ellis (Mer's mom) working on a case in the early 80's of a young man with AIDS. The struggles they faced against the man (an attending) not wanting to do surgery on him because he's a "lost cause". They did what was right by their Oath yadda yadda. The only relevant aspect I guess is it shows that Ellis introduced him to drinking.
His position at the hospital wasn't resolved. Though at the very beginning he is talking to Derek about wanting his position back now that he's been to rehab. Derek says it's up to the board or something, Cheif is upset by that and says he's leaving. That's when Derek asks him to make his speech.
Really just a throw-away episode when I would have preferred one that actually went along with the current storyline.
I can't believe we are back to repeats tonite! What the heck!!!!
What? Now I'm bummed...
They keep doing that this season. Showing like 2 new eppys' and then a few weeks of repeats. Not cool ABC, not cool.
I can't believe we are back to repeats tonite! What the heck!!!!
Awww....I was hoping there was going to be a new episode tonight being last week was a wash....
Ummm...Bailey's new dude is hotttttttttttttt.
I'm watching it now. He seems perfect. There has to be a dark side. There always is...but I'm happy Bailey is finding life beyond work.
Also, I think Teddy and Mark would be good.
(And Mark putting the verbal beat down on Owen was pretty good stuff.) - That is as far as I have gotten...I am sure I'll have more thoughts.
(Haha....I had to rewind as I missed Teddy blowing off Mark because he wanted to do the whole dinner thing and she just wanted sex on Arizona's advice - and Mark's response was funny, after the fact.)
Edit: I guess all I have to add is Mer is as big a ***** as ever. Ellen Pompeo was perfectly cast to play Cruella de Ville.
*Ahem* Spoiler alert:
Bailey's new guy is leaving the show. Soon. He's going to be in Shonda Rhimes next creation "Off the Map". I don't know when it comes out but it's about a group of Dr's that leave the States to run a clinic on a tropical island. Doesn't that just sound FASCINATING!? (Not). I read it on Ausiello a few weeks back.
I caught this about half way through, right when Lexie was confronting the Mercy West intern about what happened with her and Derrick. I missed what happened though, can someone please fill me in?
I have Grey's on in the background while I read threads and it just hit me: Izzy is a very big part of this show and you don't really miss her until you see a repeat with her in it and then you know what is gone.
I'm just pissed we can't get a few weeks of new episodes...I'm sick of the reruns. :(
A lot of shows I watch take a long break (or start in January) and then give you straight episodes until the finale (Lost, 24, everything on cable.) I think I just like it better that way rather than have a new episode, then two repeats, then two new episodes, then a repeat, etc. You never get momentum.
Umm....Losing My Religion is on Lifetime.
This episode makes me cry every single time.
EDIT: OK, so maybe it's the episode before (Deterioration of the Fight or Flight Response) but that means that Losing My Religion will be on sometime soon. Damn you Comcast for your messed up episode information...
Doesn't even list an episode name on my Dish listings...
Actually, I think this episode is probably the best of all of them, with Losing My Religion being a close second (and a real tear jerker.) The end run of that season was the high water mark of Grey's.
Eh, I like them both but Losing my Religion is barely ahead for me.
"Hahn! Gimme the damn heart! Oh and while you're at it...wanna do a surgery for us? K thanks!"
