I'll be out and about in New Orleans for the full week of Mardi Gras so I will make sure to have my camera ready! Also, I will be staying at an uptown house on Roberts St. which is 2 streets over from Dufossat. Maybe I can catch them coming/going from the house!

I also agree about hoping they keep the decor the same. It would make it more interesting I think.
Is it normal for someone else to technically own property when the Real World films in a locatioin? I would just think a lot of stuff would get altered (holes drilled, sinks changed, etc) and it might suck for the owner afterward to try to sell... even though I'm sure they know what they're getting into. :)

To be fair, it does say in the permit (and I'm sure they have a nice detailed contract as well) that says they are to return everything to its original condition after production is over.
I do think it's normal for them to just rent it out from another party under that condition.
Haha I live 2 minutes from that house, should be interesting, didn't believe my buddy when he told me he heard they were filming there, then I came upon this thread.

I have no idea where this street is but I'm sure during Mardi Gras my uncle will visit and he'll drive me around :P I'm happy that it's coming to New Orleans! :D
Its a great location. Its right off of St. Charles and is only a couple blocks away from the parade route. Its also pretty close to Tulane University. I suspect that they will be using the streetcar a lot.

New Orleans HAS NOT completely recovered from the Katrina disaster. There are still people suffering to get back on their feet. The cast could truly make a difference. Well, they could make a difference if BMP decided to cast people who are focused on change and not being "basic" and "extra".
Once I get off work I'm going to slip over there and try to get some. It's already getting dark though, so I'm not sure if they'll turn out. But I'm gonna try! :D
