I loved RR 12 in general. That was possibly the best season of Road Rules.
Definitely. The cast was amazing. The original cast + Tina were great. I don't remember Chris or Jeremy being entertaining at all.

Him being there was just pointless since there were only what, two missions left? It's funny how much I despised the vote off concept yet Campus Crawl and South Pacific were two of the best seasons of RR.

He was so annoying.

He might've been annoying but if you remember, he WAS the reason why the roadies got their handsome reward ;)
Is Road Rules REALLY over? It says on tv.com that BMP is currently casting for season 15. Not that that site's super reliable, but I'm just wondering. Could we be getting more roadies?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is not true.
my fav are SAS, CC, SP, X-TREME and VR. well The Quest was quite ok as well
2RubenJay yes, RR are over
I just don't understand how the show got cancelled. It seems like there are shows on MTV that would get way less ratings. Like Cribs?! How does that still manage to put out new episodes. Or even Teen Mom!? Who watches that? I think a good idea would have been for them to air Road Rules BEFORE Real World. Like a little BMP block. I'm sad this is gone. I always liked Road Rules better than Real World. Plus, I think Road Rules has given us more memorable characters than Real World. MOST POPULAR REAL WORLD CHALLENGERS -Beth RW 2 -Ruthie RW8 -Julie RW9 -Coral RW10 -Mike RW10 -Tonya RW11 -Aneesa RW11 -Trishelle RW12 -Alton RW12 -CT RW13 -Robin RW14 -Brad RW14 -Wes RW16 -Johanna RW16 -Johnny RW17 -Paula RW17 -Jenn RW18 -KellyAnne RW19 MOST POPULAR ROAD RULES CHALLENGERS -Mark RR1 -Emily RR2 -Timmy RR2 -Piggy RR6 -Susie RR6 -Holly RR7 -Ayanna RR8 -Yes RR8 -Veronica RR8 -Theo RR9 -Katie RR10 -Adam RR10 -Blair RR10 -Rachel RR11 -Darrell RR11 -Shane RR11 -Tina RR12 -Cara RR12 -Abram RR12 -Derrick RR13 -Jodi RR13 -Kina RR13 -Tori RR14
maybe after Fresh Meat mtv will be scared into another Road Rules
As much as I miss Road Rules, I'd rather it stay canceled than have to witness another season like Viewers Revenge... *shudders*
Yea that's what I was saying before! Road Rules to me had more of the interesting people on the challenges than Real World. Even on the Ruins, the most recent challenge some of the best moments featured Road Rulers such as Veronica being slapped by Tonya and Darrell & Brad getting into it. Also people say the vote-off killed Road Rules, I don't really think so, I think what killed Road Rules was the producers catering towards Real World more after the Las Vegas season due to it getting higher ratings, and they kept Road Rules around for the challenges. Now with the fresh meat series and even a second installment of that (which I think is ridicolous) and failure of Viewer's Revenge (which was just a mess) I doudt it will ever come back....
I don't necessarily think the vote-off concept killed Road Rules. Campus Crawl and South Pacific were two of the best seasons of Road Rules, and they both had the vote off rule. I believe the ratings started going down during Semester at Sea...

(The current Real World airing at that time)
haha yes, indeed, VR wasn't a good idea, but anyway that's better than nothing, so... y not? RR: Viewer's Revenge-2)))
I don't think a RR:VR2 would be a good idea ... I would rather see RR: The Quest 2 first
If they changed VR to something like having 14 new people live in a house for 2 weeks so the viewers can pick 6 to make up the rodies and the other 8 make up the pit crew. Then only have pit battles as a punishment when the Rodies fail a mission instead of every week. Also have it so the person returning from the pit has immunity form the next one and have the pit on the episode, then I think VR2 could actually be a good season instead of the abortion VR1 was
They should just throw out the whole VR thing all together no trying to revise it lol.

South Pacific was one of the top seasons, in my book especially.. For a season with the "vote-off" rule, South Pacific did really well and kept in RR tradition. How cool was it when they brought back the face-off with the previous season? X-TREME was ok, I thought it was good. I just think if they hadn't tampered with the concept the show would have been just fine.
Is it sad that one of the main reasons I want to see another RR season is because I want them to be casting both a RW and RR at the same time, and for them to do one of those casting specials they used to do where by the end, we knew the 13 cast members, but didn't know who was going to what show. I still remember being so excited to watch Real World B2NY and RR: The Quest just to see who was on what. I also remember being shocked they didn't put Ellen and Coral on the same show.
I hope they do another season if just to redeem it from what was it's last season.
I agree, although if Mark Long has been on Viewers Revenge it would've been 10 times better, that guy for some reason makes challenges he's on cooler.
Mark's not only a good honest competitor but he is also a gentleman. He brings a sense of honor with him that Derrick & Brad also bring.

Down Under and Latin America were two very good seasons as well. Latin America had the coolest final mission!
my fave was Europe, Islands has a special part in my heart because some of it was filmed right next to my beach house in PR (too bad I didnt know or care about filming when that happened lol).
My favorite is RR Viewer's Revenge, but thats only because it's the only road rules I've ever seen.

If I had to recommend any Road Rules seasons to any new fan or viewer I would recommend Road Rules Islands, because it had a very fun cast that joked around and everything and had really awesome missions... Next I would suggest Road Rules Northern Trail or Down Under, I think those seasons are the epitome of what Road Rules is all about. Semester at Sea and Latin America are good seasons if you want to add a dash of "drama" into the mix.. After all of that, THEN I would suggest seeing South Pacific. The first 8 seasons of the show, none of the castmembers were penalized for failing a mission. It was more about an adventure than being a game show, that's why the vote-off rule was so disliked by fans because it took away from the "adventure" aspect of the show.... as for Season 9, well, that was season was just a mess.. the camera angles gave me a headache... cool season though.
I would say start at the very beginning of the Road Rules saga to see how they evolved. There was a decided downturn when the voting started in my opinion. Starting at the beginning also let's you see Mark Long when he first started as he was on the 1st Road Rules.
