Glad the day is here and happy to be watching it at the same time as my vevmo friends. Have not watched rw premiere in a long time.
The pairings seem very obvious. More so than I remember.
Back to the show. So psyched. Cool peeps.
People are allowed to believe in whatever they want. But that doesn't mean that all people who believe or don't are the same. Ty keeps talking about Christians being set in their ways, well, he is the same way based on the way he presented himself. He doesn't want to hear the other side, either.
Ty is a *******. That was so immature, belittling people for their religious beliefs. Nobody was calling him out on his beliefs. I knew a few months ago that I didn't like him. First it was for purposely not dating within his own race and now putting people down for their beliefs ... yeah, he's definitely a winner (/end sarcasm). Like I said before, can we get a more accurate depiction on African Americans on this show? lol
For real. I hate this stereotype so much.
So do I. I think if he shows more of the side of him that he showed when talking with one of the girls (Emily?) earlier, he should be OK.

And what would be a "more accurate description of African-Americans" considering that AAs are not exactly a monolith?
LOL davitt. I've already had this discussion before. The producers always cast the same type of AAs, which is understandable given the demographic of the target audience. Bottom line is he was out of line during the religious convo. Hope they learn to see past their differences

I do, but don;t want to get into a racial debate on this thread. But the fact that you don't see the similarities is a good thing ...
The first episode wasnt that great but hey its the first episode. I think Andrew is SUPER FUNNY. I was laughing everytime he came on. I really like the girls. I think Erika is the coolest, I just like her style. Ashley seems kool but seems kinda bratty at the same time.
Premiere = Decent.
I just feel like too much was thrown in my face for a first episode. The cast seems too nice & just kinda boring besides Ashley & Ty. However I think Mike will entertain somewhat. I have a feeling Erika, Callie & Josh will be this seasons wallpaper with Andrew commentating ANYWHERE he can.
Please don't let me down RWDC!

yeah, i see a few similarities too..
I think Brianna was a very unique choice, and a one of a kind cast memeber for the series... Black girls like Janelle, Jasmine, and Brittini fall in the same category as the guys that were listed earlier...
I also thought the premiere was decent, but it felt incomplete or something. That hour was over quickly for me.
Oh, and add me to the list of people who think Andrew probably is one of those people who sometimes gets out of hand in their attempts to be "open" and funny, and would work the nerves. He seems to want to be the center of attention.
