Ugh... Ashley... she is ridiculous... she rolled her eyes and was disgusted at Callie bc she was probably a republican... so annoying.
Well, to be fair, that clip of Ashley rolling her eyes in the confessional could have been from ANY point in the entire time she was there, and the editors just chose to put it in after Callie's comment. Ya think?

Andrew is def. more weird and out there than Ryan.
I don't think Andrew and Ryan look alike, either.
I don't think Ashley was upset at Callie saying she was a Republican, but instead she mentioned how she thought it wasn't right that Callie didn't seem to know whether she was a Republican or not. Callie made some kind of comment about being a Republican for now, and Ashley mentioned something about her not knowing what she was. That's what seemed to annoy Ashley, to me.
Either way, Callie is still young, and during your college years and years surrounding them, you can go through major changes, so I didn't think it was so odd that she wasn't sure yet.
Ugh... Ashley... she is ridiculous... she rolled her eyes and was disgusted at Callie bc she was probably a republican... so annoying.
They eye roll was probably cut from another point in time, but I do remember her being annoyed. Though I don't think she was annoyed because she was a republican. When they met, Callie told Ashley she didn't know where she stood or something like that, and I think Ashley said that she was annoyed that Callie didn't know where she stood on the political spectrum. Which I guess if you're very into politics like she is it could be very annoying. Callie had mentioned earlier in the episode that she wasn't liberal at all though. I think she was just really excited and in the moment. Maybe she's moderate and that was quicker to say? Who knows.
And that's my two cents haha.
[EDIT]: poster above got there before I did. Oops.
No problem. Glad someone else saw what I did.
I can understand annoyance at Ashley from the episode, but I don't think she should be seen as someone who is annoyed at Callie because she's a Republican. At least at this point - who knows, maybe she will demonstrate that later, but for now, she was shown to be annoyed with Callie because she didn't seem set in her political beliefs.
I understand if anyone missed, that, though. It took me a couple of full watches of the episode (and partially watching another airing) to catch some things.
One thing I didn't get was why in the convesional they had all those countries flags. Yes, they are in in D.C. but that is the capital of the U.S.A. and not of the world. If they were to do that you would think they would have done it on any of the seasons in New York as that is were the U.N. headquarters are.
Also Josh Colon seems like a really cool roommate. I hope he doesn't get put in the show and become another baya.
They had larger flags of the states that were behind them because I recognized California besides those they had little flags of a bunch of countries. Mike even made a comment about it saying "I guess we are going to learn all of those".
Wow, great premiere.... I think this is one of the very few seasons where the cast members DID NOT gather in the hot tub or party in a club on the first episode.
I can't remember the last season to not feature the hot tub or a club in the first episode.
did the house have a gym? also I loved the recording/drawing room for the artistically inclined houseguests
No, they got a gym membership.
I've only watched one other season of the Real World (Cancun) so I was excited to see this one. I liked it! :D Here's what I think of the people:
Erika- she seems really cool!! I like her a lot already ^^
Josh- he seems a little boring...he didn't get a lot of air time so I don't really have an opinion on him but hopefully they show him more :)
Callie- she seemed sweet and cute but like...meh. Something's off about her. :/
Mike- he seems like a really cool guy and I felt bad for him in the confrontation with Ty :( I'm looking forward to seeing him the rest of the season
Emily- for some reason, I didn't really like her.,.:/
Andrew- some of his comments were hilarious and had me cracking up but I can definitely see him getting annoying after a while
Ashley- I liked her at first, but she seemed like a brat and she even said herself "I'm used to getting what I want". I hope she redeems herself ^^
Ty- ughh I don't want to dislike anyone this early in the season but every time he was on screen I was like shut up...he irks me so much. I HATEDDDD it when he was like "CHRISTIANS ARE SO NARROW MINDED THEY WILL NEVER ACCEPT ANYTHING" umm...Mike wasn't yelling at you to say "I believe in God"...imo he was being more narrow-minded than Mike :S ughh redeem yourself Ty ^^
Overall I think it's gonna be a good season and can't wait :D
I don't know but to me by the spoilers it looks like Ty will being doing allot more things that some may view offense. To me he came off as extremely agressive and quite hostile considerign it was the first day.

I dont think the Brooklyn cast partied or went into a hot tub the first night.
The premiere was OK. I do feel they are re-using stereo types.
Andrew is already annoying me, as well as Ashley and Ty.
Callie and Erika look like they would be very cool to hang out with (have to get on that haha).
I think Emily is very pretty and Josh intrigues me for some reason. I don't know what it is, but he seems a bit different from previous castmembers!
To me it's Josh's swagger that makes him seem different. By this as Andrew says he is more chill and unlike most people on the shows he seems to see it as something to do and an opportunity. Unlike others who view it as more of a stepping stone or a beginning. He just seems to view it as the experience which is refreshinging.
Some people will probably get mad at me for this, but oh well:
I find Andrew to be rather annoying already. I read a while ago that someone said "Whenever the show has someone funny on it, they say they're either trying too hard or are trying to be like Bronne and Isaac." Well, I noticed something: Bronne and Isaac were naturally funny, they weren't trying to make others laugh or putting themselves out there [too far].. They were just being themselves and it happened to be funny. They were naturally "out there" and "different" and "funny".. Andrew, in my opinion, might be seen as [by the end of the season] naturally annoying. I hope not though.
Well, this is what I think. Thoughts?
I don't think Andrew and Ryan look alike, either.
They don't look alike, but their humor is somewhat similar. Andrew is a LOT less dreamy than Ryan.
The problem with Andrew's 'lies' is that he was only joking -- but since Ashley ( ??? --sorry, don't know names yet) didn't know Andrew, how on earth would she know he wasn't being serious? It does set a precedent, though. You have to second-guess everything that comes out of his mouth. But a 'liar', i'm not convinced yet that he is one.
Hey GB welcome back haven't seen you around here in forever! ;)
I agree with your assessment of Andrew as far as him not being a "liar". If I were Emily I would have believed him up front as well. I'm just gullible like that. (A cage fighter? Really?! LoL) I would have thought it was hilarious when I found out later on, and laughed at myself for not getting it. That's just me. Andrew hasn't given me any evidence yet that he was being anything but harmless and funny, or that he is the kind of person who would mess with people only to be malicious.
Thanks :kiss2:. I should call myself Good Austin now, but no one will recognize me.
I would have believed him also. When you say stuff like that you're supposed to have a look on your face like 'i'm really full of crap'. But when you meet someone for the first time you just don't anticipate that kind of humor -- especially not when you're meeting your Real World roommates.

Eh...or you could just change your location. :p
I hope they don't do another aftershow. From the get go you could see the tention between ALL the cast members as each came out to speak about the first episode. I hope they don't ruin things if this contineus each week (I doubt it?).
Just finished watching the first episode and i enjoyed every minute of it.
This season might just be the best i've seen so far, i really liked that the castmembers are fun and like partying and stuf.. But i also like that they are more than just brainless party people and talk about serious stuf. This might be the perfect balance between Brooklyn and Cancun
I feel so old when people say "this season might be the best i've seen so far"...
I still remember New Orleans like it was yesterday... Those were good seasons!
