No way, it's wayy to early. They just finished accepting applications.
Maybe, but i know a girl who already had her semifinal interview like way back in november so I'm assuming they chose finalists already. Unless they just have ppl wait, because she hasn't heard back yet. I think they def are in the late stages though. I'm waiting for RW 25 to actually turn it up!
Ok so, I'm really ****** off with BMP right now and I feel disappointed in there casting choices. Trust me I am not sore for myself, I didn't make it past the first interview, but I know people that definitely should be on there.
Not one, but TWO of my best friends auditioned for RW 24, in two different states, and BOTH made it to the SEMI-FINALS. It was actually really crazy, and I was so happy for both of them, but both DID NOT make it to the finals. One applied way later than the other but both were interviewed for semi finals around the same time. They said they were asked more questions about what's on their app, and I know they are 2 of the most amazing people i know with great backstories.
I am just fed up with BMP, i have no clue what their problem is. These people are so genuine, one friend is a girl and another a guy, both very attractive and intellectual. I feel that they stereotype based on looks A LOT, because one is slightly chubby, and I believe that was the only factor in their not being chosen. The other is really hot, like she's a 10, and she's super involved in everything.
My friend said she was told to try out again, but like, why would you try out again if they rejected you once??? Sounds like an easy let down. BMP needs to shape up before they lose more ratings. Its a shame to see great people get rejected, like seriously they would have owned the show.
Ok I'm done, we're all going to meet up next week to chat and forget about this crazy stuff.

Huntington Beach for RW24 location? Well, I think this is likely a rumor -- I would think they would want "entertainment-type" people in that location, no? And they specifically said they were not looking for entertainers for this season.

They probably didn't mesh with the people they thought would be on the show. It's not their fault, I'm sure they were very interesting people.
If they told your friend to try out again, it probably means that they really liked her and are hoping that next time around she will mesh better with the cast they will have in mind next season.

Maybe they want to save them for different seasons, it wouldn't be the first time.

That's not saying anything. That was just BMP posting a Craigslist ad (which they probably did in every major city, just happened to be caught in LA) to send them an email to be on season 24.

;-) They say no Huntington Beach -- but honestly, nothing would surprise me from BMP.
ZOMG!

Found this (predictable, but) interesting:
O'Hara said the show is never filmed in a city where a casting call has been done for the same season. She also said a city is chosen before public opinion about the issue begins.
There you go people...narrowed down quite a bit.

Yeah, it's nice that someone from BMP actually verified it though.
(unless you said that months ago, haha)
interesting stuff. I sent in an email awhile ago..
@ Misspretty, sorry about your friends!
Is it too late to send in a video?
I'm not hurt, but thanks. I know they both thought they were shoe ins, and honestly i did too. As of now I told them to not apply again, it's just like a relationship, if you get rejected..why would u go back for more? We'll see how this turns out. Def send in a tape, they'll probably call u for next casting. Thats what happened with her. The other did open casting call

Since Casting Calls are over for RW24 -- here is a snap shot of the VIP pass that you get when you email.
Here's the email you receive when you make Round 3:
Hi **your name**:
Please write back and confirm your interview time, your SKYPE name and that you have tested it.
Thanks,
**Name and Cell of Casting Director**

REAL WORLD SKYPE INTERVIEW SETUP
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Software: The latest version of Skype for Windows or Mac from Skype ? Make free calls and great value calls on the internet, this is free software.
Hardware: 1 webcam with microphone and sound output. If your webcam doesn’t have a microphone or sound output you must obtain a Skype headset. You also may need earbud headphones (like the ones you get when you purchase an ipod)
Connection: You must be connected to a high speed internet connection (DSL, Cable internet, T1, etc.). Dial up connections will not work.
WHAT TO DO:
1. Install your webcam with software (if needed).
2. Install and test your webcam’s mic and sound output - we must hear you and you must hear us through this system. If you have questions regarding your webcam see the webcams instruction manual.
3. Install the free version of Skype from Skype ? Make free calls and great value calls on the internet. (if you already have Skype, make sure you update to the most current version).
4. Create a Skype account. After you have created your Skype account email rwcasting@bunim-murray.com.
The subject heading of your email should be: “RW Skype Info for YOUR NAME HERE.”
In the body of the email, please include the following info:
a) Your full name (again).
b) Your Skype username.
c) Your phone number (s).
d) Your email address.
5. Open Skype and make sure the Audio and Video settings are ready for your hardware. If you are having problems, the Skype website has a lot of help on the download page. Make sure to choose your operating system (Mac, Windows or Linux) from the left hand side or search from the Help page. Attached there are pictures of example setups for both a Mac and Windows XP based computer.
6. Find a friend with a Skype account (or someone who is willing to set one up to help you). Please contact them via Skype and test that everything is working correctly. It is in your best interest to ensure all technical problems on your end are worked out BEFORE you interview with the casting director.
I have all my other emails I've had with BMP -- but they have legal disclaimers on them -- so I'm not going to forward them -- nor am I going to say how far I made it in the process for RW22, RW23, or RW24. Let's just say -- I'm constantly up for consideration and have made it further than 99% of people will make it.

While I could not get on the show at the very least due to age, perhaps I'll be able to get on as a PA and see some behind the scenes stuff.
anyone know if they finished casting or what stage its in?
Based on the New Orleans job listings, and making a comparison to the DC job listings - it looks like they brought the DC PAs on the job exactly 1 month before the cast entered the house and thus a practical move in date for Real World 24 would be January 2nd.
With that in mind, I'd expect that all casting considerations are done (being it is less than two weeks away.)

When do they begin the process of planning for RW25?
I would imagine they are probably in the midst of gearing up for it -- not from an execution standpoint but from a strategy standpoint.
I would imagine that when they won the 4 addition seasons from MTV that they created a short list of potential cities, season overviews, and stories that they are looking to tell. So they are probably in the process of selecting the RW25 city within the next 2 to 4 weeks right before they put at the casting calls.

Interesting... I would think they would announce casting calls AT LEAST by the end of the DC season, if not, before the New Orleans season.
Probably when they start filming... Usually locals take snapshots of production and the speculation begins. I think that's how it's worked for the past few seasons now...
