Interesting... I would think they would announce casting calls AT LEAST by the end of the DC season, if not, before the New Orleans season.
Casting calls for RW25 will start at the beginning of Feb 2010 though casting will have started a couple weeks before that. Semi-Finals will be held in April / early May. Finals in May. Filming at end of June / beginning of July. There's really not much room for diviation in their current casting schedule given the demand of pulling off 2 seasons per year. With that being said, they either already know or are currently finalizing details for RW25. I'm not so sure that filming for RW24 will begin the first week in Jan. I think it will start mid to end of Jan as they just wrapped up Finals not too long ago. With that being said, the cast has definitely been selected and notified already and are in preparation to move in. By now, the house has been selected, permits received, and work will be started soon (if it hasn't already started yet). So someone should go through the building permits as there's got to be something out there. I think BMP did a good job playing us this year. We looked at all the clues and were certain it was Atlanta...they knew what they were doing. ;-) Sneaky. It's ok -- as I've stated before -- it's good to keep them on their toes -- it keeps the process interesting and challenges them to be more innovative and creative.

I never thought it was Atlanta....
So with season 26 coming up within the next year and a half I was wondering if they were planning something special or if that would be the last season?

This past Monday I think, Cancun's Emilee tweeted something like, "around this time I found out I was chosen for The Real World".
I never thought it was Atlanta....
A bunch of us here did though.
So with season 26 coming up within the next year and a half I was wondering if they were planning something special or if that would be the last season?
I doubt it will be the last season as even though the show doesn't have the best ratings -- it still has much better ratings than most other shows on MTV. I do think we might see a few more changes to the show's format...but not sure yet.
PS. I'm still holding my breath for RW25 to go back to San Fran or to Montreal. Definitely my top picks...I would imagine those cities are in the mix for consideration along with Toronto and Portland. But you never know...I just enjoy guessing.
At least yall had a chance to be on the show!
When do they usually start posting up open casting calls for the next season's casting process?

Rumored Feb 2010 at least. If not, at the end of the D.C. season they will announce casting calls again.
Really? Did you read any of the last couple of pages??
I surely did, thanks.:wink2: stating how casting calls shall begin sometime in January.. then the next person went on to say sometime in february.. my question: when are the casting calls for seasons (meaning more than one) usually put up... so as to get a timeline for more than just a few seasons. Found it online already though

Found it online already though
All love on this forum...lol. It'll be sometime between end of Jan and mid-Feb. I imagine it will probably be sooner rather than later (assuming RW25 is a more "serious" season). Particularally, they will start earlier if they want the casting directors to do interviews with the media about what they are looking for. They didn't do a lot of that for RW24 or RW22 but they did for RW23 and 21. I'm still in the camp of thought that all the things they were looking to cast for RW23 was actually a set-up for 24, 25, and 26. So I doubt they'll have their casting directors do as much media as they did for that season. It's all a guess though. And as it is well documented on here -- i'm not always right ;-) all love.
Bear with me-- I am afraid I might be asking a totally stupid question. Around the end of November, I sent in an email and received a response back within twelve hours. I submitted the million-page application the next day, and they told me they would get back to me within four to six weeks. That would put their response to me around late December at the EARLIEST. Now, seeing as they're going to start filming next month, what was the point of even allowing me to submit my application? Were they perhaps just looking for last minute additions and the 'four to six weeks' bit was just standard response? Thanks in advance for going easy on this new member :]

That's great :)
Bear with me-- I am afraid I might be asking a totally stupid question. Now I don't know much either, and I'm new as well, but I guessed that since our apps received responses just a few weeks ago and they're already filming, we're maybe thrown into the pool of season 25 applicants? not totally sure :/

As for your guess, I would assume that's probably right.
Ok so i might be able to help lol. I know for sure that they already chose the cast and they will be filming in the beginning of january because they told my friend that at her semi's interview. So maybe those that have the app you guys are going to be sent VIP passes for RW25. I think that 25 will be a serious season, becuz all of us are party people and we made it far, so I'm nervous they won't even give us another shot :( BUT GOOD LUCK TO YOU GUYS!!! Also, for those making tapes, i sent a five minute audition tape last year and got a call like 7 months later saying i moved forward to round 2. so i would send in those tapes soon.... XOXO MISSPRETTY XOXOX
I havent heard no cast member on the real world from dc since the 2nd season I know they did a real world dc show but do B.M.P like dc people to be on the show? I dont know how the casting call went in dc I wonder why it took them so long to do a casting call in dc

I think where you're from has little to do with whether or not you get picked. But if you're from somewhere like Montana or Idaho, well, that's a different story.
So I Made It 2 The Second Round Of Casting For Season 22 But Was 23 Day's Late With That Packet,Then On Nov 30th I Got A E-Mail Saying I Made It To The Second Round Again,But Is That For Season 24 Or 25???Also Should I Fill Out The Packet ALL THE WAY???
I think where you're from has little to do with whether or not you get picked. But if you're from somewhere like Montana or Idaho, well, that's a different story.
How come it got to be where you from what if you have a interesting story?
Me and a friend of mine recently applied for the RW via email... doe anyone here know how effective that is, or should we probably send in tapes too?!?!?!
heyyy guys! this is my first post but i have been lurking around here for awhile. nice to finally "meet" you all! :) i was just wondering if anyone knows how strict the producers are about age? i really feel like i would be perfect for the show and i feel like i could learn and grow so much from the experience. the only thing is, i happen to be one year over the age limit. everyone tells me i look younger than i am and i definitely don't act my age! i heard rumors that brooke from denver actually was 25 and turned 26 on the show, but i don't know how true that is. if anyone knows any information about this please let me know. thaaanks! ~kaitlin
you and me both. I would like to know that as well
I think the producers are on a strict age restrication to filter the people but there is always a case by case exception where if you really excite and interest the producers they may pick you.So I would try.
Alright, kiddos! So the fun has began, and BM is filming with the New chosen cast next week! They just finished the final final round, 2 weeks ago before Dec.25. They have a ******* crazy cast, to say the least with hardcore Alpha personalities left and right. They will go pretty far with the ability for it to build as a whole, we'll just play it out though in hopes that it will be pleasantly fun, to see why the group dynamic was soooo stressed this season. Braaappppp. out.
Can't wait for this season to unfold and see New Orleans agian on tv.

Now on with the investigation of our new 8 strangers! lol =)

I really hope this isn't as publicized, I feel like I already watched DC.
This season is going to be in New Orleans?? haa if thats the case then that probably narrowed my chances for this season... if any time for a real world to be filmed here it would be now since Mardi Gras is on Feb 16th, I wonder if I'll run into them haha
