I liked that article. And, I'm sorry, but the D.C local "bloggers" did act a little crazy. Seems like their main goal, other than observing and reporting on the cast, was to get themselves known. I would have been creeped out too, had I been one of the cast, to see my every move reported in real time, which was not the norm in previous seasons. The "Real World" tries to be as real as it can be, and I understand that with the popularity of Twitter it became real to the rest of us, but it just seems like the "bloggers" (and well, let's be honest, anyone can call themselves a blogger/"journalist" nowadays) tried to steal the thunder and make it all about them which well, it wasn't. Report on the cast, great! Give us some tidbits to let ust get to know them. But to think you are as big of a story, or more involved as you are (*cough*Elizabethany*cough*) is self-serving, and not what the real fans are looking for.

Has anyone seen any commercials for this? I've been poking around the internet to see if their is interest in the show, and it seems as if people are fed up with the RW and they miss the earlier seasons. Of course it doesn't help that Cancun sucked and everybody thought the trailer for DC was boring. I'm hoping that people do a little background before writing it off because the bio's are very interesting. I'm glad that BMP decided to cast on depth rather than cast on looks this time.
This morning there was a commercial with Andrew saying the same thing that he said in the beginning of the trailer. It was actually very funny! I know that the trailer wasn't good but I am still excited about the season. I want to see what this cast can bring.
Let me ask you all this: give me an outline of what you wanted to see in the first (non-primetime) trailer.... each of you who has complained haven't told anybody what you took objection with. What would you, as editors, have cut into the 2-minute package)? I'm eager to read your responses.
More in-depth scenes.. Not major overload of them, but just a few more scenes like Michael's/Ashley's.. Just to show people who are regular viewers that these people have actual stories and something to add to this season.. That's what I would've liked.

It got people talking, which led to premiere..which did amazing in ratings. I'm not saying the season is going to bad, because I know I will enjoy it, but I'm just don't think the trailer was great. Not the worst I've ever seen, I wasn't a fan of Cancun's trailer but it was a smidge better than DC. I did enjoy the Ashley/Mike interaction, I would have liked to see more of Erika's adventures, and a little bit more of Josh. I did love Andrew scene's. I am no way a fan of the epic fail that was RW Cancun but I got a little bit of who they were with their trailer..and the same with Brooklyn's and Hollywood's. Hollywood's was amazing.
Of course, more drama and less relationship talk. It would have been nice to see a bit more in depth stuff, though.
I agree that a little more in depth convos or whatever would have been great... It's almost like the mash-up of scenes was TOO quick that none of it sank in the first, second, or third time watching. Hopefully they'll show more in other trailers/commercials! I'm sure they will. No matter what they could have put together for a trailer, there's always something to pick apart. I liked it, I'm excited, I hope other people do a little research, and that's what I'm stickin' with :)
By looking at the trailor of Real World DC and Jersey Shore show...The Shore show will be wayyyyy better...atleast drama wise.

Generalizing a whole 600+ minute season based on a 2 minute trailer is a very poor mistake.
so i just saw a different, newer preview for it on mtv not sure if thats news but it still looked good!

Just SAW a new teaser....so does it still look boring?
I liked the commercial better.
Thank God..it looks better than the previous teasers.
Does anyone have a link to it online?
I think the commercial that played during the Ruins was more entertaining than the initial trailer. I didn't mind the original trailer though. I didn't think it was like "OMG Best trailer ever!" but I was fine with it. We already knew this was going to be more of a conservative (no pun intended) season, at least compared to Cancun. I wasn't expecting anything too crazy from a trailer. I'm easy to please though, so it could just be that.

BTW, I just want to remind everyone about the bitter party of one aka Tyrie. He was *****ing about how its messed up that MTV has another cast member named Ty and its "copyright infringement" as he put it. And he was making fun of him. He wonders why nobody likes him. Classy.
I saw Tyrie was tweeting that a few nights ago. That was crazy.

Tyrie needs to get over it. There's been like 3 Sarah's, 3 Mike's and we're also on our second Emily (spelling may vary :p)
So I saw the new commercial last night and I need to watch it again, but from what I can tell, everything you saw was from night one in DC. They fought within hours of being here, crying girls in the bathroom and all... They also had to deal with protesters outside the house. So, if every episode's commercial is the same, I think it's going to be full of goodness. :)
Does anyone else already dislike Ty?
Well the show hasn't aired yet so....
Maybe dislike is the wrong word. I just find him extremely annoying, already!
