I did like the idea for a super challenge for the 20th one. I'd so love it if production could coax Eric nies out of retirement and get Mark Long on the show. Have one team captained by Eric (RW only) and one by Mark (RR/FM), but the catch is..only people who have one a challenge are allowed to participate, then can even it call it something like "Clash of Champions"
First post, bear with me...a "Clash of Champions" would be a good 20th season, but I think it should be individual challenge where there is only one winner, be it male or female. Some of the coolest moments in the older seasons of the challenges was when the girls would beat the guys in a Gauntlet or whatever. The girls tend to "play the game" better while the guys rely on out of show friendships and simply doing well in challenges. JEK may not be alot of people's favorites, but seeing them have to turn on each other would be interesting.
Did anyone else catch the commercial during the last episode of the Ruins where they said something about how you could compete against the RW/RR cast members during the next challenge in Acapulco during spring break? I thought it'd have been mentioned somewhere on here but I don't see it anywhere. That probably tells us the next one will film in the March 2010 timeframe...

I did. My first impression of that commercial was that they were talking about mock challenges to get people to go on spring break with Student City and past Real World cast members (like Ayiiia who has something on her facebook page concerning spring break.)

I interpreted it as an effort to interject a THIRD wave of Fresh Meat into the series...

I saw that too.
I was wondering what it was.I will try to look it up.
Maybe its RW/RR Challenge Players competing in games vs. Regular people.
Each challenge they change the Regular people.
If the Challenge people win they get money and safety from elimination. If they lose then they get no money and you have to vote people into an elimination battle.
So basically the Challenge people will all be together on this one.
I just assumed that it would be like a fun spring break thing where you could just hang out with the RWRRers.
Yes, I am thinking the exact same thing.
There will be a challenge filmed in the late spring - but this is not it.
I think they will do a new Gauntlet/Inferno, a new improved Island or something completely new. A new Duel will be to quick after the last one.
Then again, you never really know. There was only a one-challenge gap between the first two Infernos.
I thought though that contestants don't know what kind of challenge it will be until they show up to the challenge?
They probably told him it was an individual challenge to coax him out of retirement, but withheld the name of the Challenge from him.

Mark was an exception, while they did not tell him the exact intricacies of the challenge, they did tell him that it was an individual, not a team based challenge. He did not know it was "The Duel II".

It says all-star please lets see some old faces.
So it's going to be on tv?
I don't think it will be a season. Maybe it will be a thing during comercials for fresh meat 2!
It just looks like a Student City promo to sell spring break packages - but from the way it is worded, I'll posit that it will air during some of MTV's normal spring break programming.

Bunim-Murray Productions may require additional information from potential Show participants. These items may include but are not limited to team member videos, photos, access to social networking pages and publicity and liability releases.

5 days of filming between March 12 and March 20, 2010.
Anyway, it is not an actual Challenge as far as I am concerned, but rather a spring break gig that happens to have cast members from previous Challenges.
It says all-star please lets see some old faces.
Lol we all know MTV's/BMP's definition of all star is Evan/Kenny/Diem/Paula/Robin/Brad/Johnny/Derrick.
Am I the only one who actually liked the Island? it was different and that's a welcome change for this show ****
The Island 2, The Duel 3, RW: Atlanta (nice city), Back to San Francisco, etc.
I think the next Challenge needs to be an individual one so that JEK cannot rely on each other as much. Maybe do it like the 1st BOTS where the bottom man is out. I wonder how long Kenny would be able to ride Evan's coattails then?
BOTS would not work, there would still be an alliance. The only reason why the bottom man was voted out was because thats how they agreed to do it. If JEK was around, I doubt that still would happen.
And you guys say individual challenges, look at the Island the D2, although Evan deserved to win D2, the big alliance still controlled the game. And the Island, well, um, yeah lets forget that ever happened, along with Inferno 3.
Separate teams would be the best option. They would still protect each other (kind of like how Brad was in the cross alliance on the ruins), but if somehow their team had power, it would easy to throw Johnny or Kenny in an elimination round. Now Evan on the other hand, I doubt anyone with a brain would call him out unless they know they could beat him. I doubt someone like CT (who could beat Evan, IMO) would risk that. And Evan is cool with most of the top dogs.
Make it even more individualized like where teams are randomized or there is a draft before each Challenge round with teams being picked and Team Captains being drafted the night before the Challenge round at random.
And BMP would cast JEK on BOTS for obvious reasons, a lot of the women are on to them and it would make for great tv to have people like Coral, Katie, Veronica, or Paula against them.
The men on the other hand, still need to smarten up. IMO, its easier to control the game when there are girls around like JoJo who do whatever they say (even though she is friends with Evan and Kenny). I could imagine someone like Emilee from Cancun being one of their pawns.
And Bacchus, I don't see that happening anytime soon. The best option would be for the cast to smarten up.
I think the solution to all these problems is just not to cast JEK. That would fix it.
However, there are also enough people who would want to see them receive some karmic revenge.
However, there are also enough people who would want to see them receive some karmic revenge.
As I said before, JEK are not going anywhere anytime soon, love them or hate them, people are still talking. I'd say they are most talked about cast members in this forum and others along with CT and maybe Wes. But Wes is only relevant because the came out of retirement.
And **** ratings, as I wrote before, if the Hills is not getting over 2 million, neither is anything else.
