I would too! I never liked Road Rules as much as Real World but now I think that I could appreciate it more. Although, I don't think that it matters what shows it is as long as the cat is good.
If there was a battle of the sexes, this would be the ideal girls team for me:
Veronica (Semester At Sea)
Coral (Back to New York)
Rachel (Campus Crawl)
Beth (Los Angeles)
Tonya (Chicago)
Brooke (Denver)
Aneesa (Chicago)
Kina (X-Treme)
Cara (South Pacific)
Susie (Australia)
Evelyn (Fresh Meat)
Ruthie (Hawaii)
Trisha (Sydney)
Svetlana (Key West)
Katelynn (Brooklyn)
Ayiia (Cancun)
Jasmine (Cancun)
(DC Girl)
Wishful thinking. Imagine the drama...
But oh how I want an all-girls challenge so bad.
yea i heard she had a baby. that sucks she never won one.
and katie? in the ruins, she said no more for her
Just because she had a baby doesn't mean anything.
And when will people FINALLY realize just because they "Say" they quit, doesn't mean they actually WILL quit. Wes, Brad, Mark, Ibis all said they would quit. They didn't.
I would rather watch Road Rules.
Heck I would too. it would be alot more interesting than The Real World(and Challenges).

We'll have to take a look at ratings this week, but I wouldn't be surprised if MTV waited until FM2 premiered before ordering another challenge (Yes, there are two more on the books, but they could eat the contract.)
Does anyone remember a few years back when everyone thought the series was going to get canceled and there was a drive to get people to watch to save the show? It might be a good idea to start one of those drives right about now, lol.
I personally thought that Inferno III would be the end of the road.
I know everyone keeps saying, "But...but...it is one of MTV's most popular shows!"
The problem with that logic is those stupid dating shows that might only do 1/2 the ratings only cost 1/10 as much to make.
And yes, I am a pessimist.
Honestly, I would rather end the show at the end of the contract then drag it on like it is now. At this point the challenges are very boring.
Opinion.
Just because Evan and Kenny are making to the end doesn't mean the challenges are boring. The ruins has been the best challenge since Gauntlet 3, **** the ratings.
If you don't like it that much, don't watch. BMP is not twisting your arm to watch, turn the channel.
Just because Evan and Kenny are making to the end doesn't mean they are boring.
Actually for the majority of us it would seem that is the case.
Actually for the majority of us it would seem that is the case.
And thats fine, I'm actually rooting for the challengers, but just because the three stooges and DERRICK are still there doesn't mean its boring. If last weeks episode was boring and this weeks was was, then we obviously aren't watching the same show.
So was it boring when Mike, Coral, Veronica, and Rachel made it to the end of every challenge?
Last week was great but the ending was horrible. Two most entertaing, fan favorite girls left. This week two more fan favorites left. Next week will probibaly have horrible ratings because a lot of people were watching just for Wes.

Katie's only entertaining when she's pissed off. She was boring on the Duel 2, Tonya, is always entertaining though. Thats great for you, now you don't have to watch. :D.
Good for me, bad for the challengers that will be looking for a job in a couple of years.
We all gotta start somewhere.
I think that would make this shows better would be to shift focus from JEK to cast members such as Dunbar and Kimberly. Those two are my one of my favorites and they aren't getting enought camera time.Every episode so far there had been JEK and Wes(which is good to have Wes). But I mean we haven't seen much Dunbar or Kim.I feel that nowadays the challenges only focus on certain group people and the others have become like "secondary" characters that are in disposal.Who only appear briefly.I haven't seen much of Brad either.
Edit:If someone has watched Battle of the sexes, you'll understand what I am talking about.Puck got alot of screen time even if he was sent home early.I feel that before everyone was view more equally.

??? They did not make it to the end every challenge.Unlike Kenny who is always there.Mike,Veronica and Rachel were voted off in one of the BOTS II.Plus they were not as annoying. It is a pleasure to watch Mike and Coral. In the case of Rachel she wasn't as half bad as JEK are.She actually congratulated Landon for winning his first challenge during the Inferno II.Sure Veronica was mean at the time but she still cared for Rachel.

Umm, Evan didn't make it to the end of the Duel or FM? And Derrick didn't start winning until Inferno 3..doesn't that you something.
Every challenge there is always someone running things, wether its JEK, Coral & Co., Mark, whoever.
The point is that people didn't mind seeing Coral, V, Rachel, Miz, ect. win but the majority of people hate seeing JEK win. Johnny, Evan, and Kenny aren't even fun to watch anymore!

I disagree. I couldn't stand any of the people you mentioned by the time they were on their 4th+ challenge in a row. When Gauntlet 2 rolled around and I learned none of the usual suspects (except Katie, who wasn't on the challenge prior) would be on it, I was a very happy man.
It wasn't until the later challenges when I was all about Coral and Veronica coming back. Rachel could never appear on another challenge and I would be fine with it. The Miz was fine sometimes, but other times he annoyed me.
But I still would take those people over Evan, Kenny, and Johnny. But a lot of that might be my nostalgia factor since I believe that the current challenges pale in comparison to the challenges Coral, V, etc. were on.

I am like you, I got really tired of seeing Coral, The Miz, Rachel and even Kina doing these challenges all of the time. I wished them gone. But like they say be careful what you wish for. I got my wish and look what we got stuck with now, Johnny, Evan and Kenny all of time, dominating challenges. They are just hard to watch in addition to being boring. They make me yearn for the old days of The Miz, Coral, Abram, Rachel and Veronica.
you guys talk about Miz and Coral winning a lot, but Miz won twice and Coral once. I think one of the best aspects of the old challenges was watching Coral and Mike lose to the Road Rules team each time, and only after they separated could Miz finally beat the other team. I hadn't watched a challenge since Gaunlet 2 (and even then I didnt finish it), but I watched the ruins so I didnt know who the hell JEK where, but by episode 3 I couldn't stand them. I rewatched all the past challenges (except inferno 3, damn mtv.com) and boy the perfect show would be..the actual challenges of today (that are awesome..Deep Blue Sea and the Sunken treasure on from the Duel being my faves) with the cast of old.
As for the RW and the Challenges. I agree with what someone said in the RW Generic Forum.. Real World: Puerto Rico (yes I am biased cause I live on the island), but the culture shock for them would be interesting, its a wide mix of black, latino, american and other races that it would be interesting. Plus the scenery is gorgeous. If not a RW..then a Challenge down here would make even more sense, they are already sent to beautiful tropical locales around the world, why not bring them to a place closer to the US, cheaper probably and without the needs for passports. Hell the kids would even love it cause its 18 to drink at bars (if they even card) and cheap as hell also.
I did like the idea for a super challenge for the 20th one. I'd so love it if production could coax Eric nies out of retirement and get Mark Long on the show. Have one team captained by Eric (RW only) and one by Mark (RR/FM), but the catch is..only people who have one a challenge are allowed to participate, then can even it call it something like "Clash of Champions"
only people who have one a challenge are allowed to participate, then can even it call it something like "Clash of Champions"
You had me till this because seeing the champions team on the ruins is ugh and most of them would do this if only people who win can go plus not enough people have won to make two solid teams.
I want the all the back to they are planning are actual places that were bad seasons like London,Philly,Paris,Denver to redeem them.
I liked the real World Philly it was different. The people grew example Karamo and his hatred of inter racial relationships in the end he was with that guy who was I think Puerto Rican. As well they learnt from their mistakes as example Landon and his excessive and somewhat violent alcohol use. In my opinion you could`ve only found it boring is if you didn`t like that the majority of the cast was coehesive throughout most of the show. I guess also there wasn`t too many major disputes except the MJ:Karam cconfrentation and when Karamo revealed he was gay those moments were great.
Also guys do you know if Zack mann is coming back his attitude and his character is great for these shows as he isn`t in everyones face which is needed sometimes. Also do know if J.D. from Brooklyn will ever do a challenge because from that season personally I think he would be the best for entertainment and would make the challenge more interesting. Yeah for Real World they should go to Canada or I would even be okay with Minneapolis because it is so close to Canada as well.
