She did the round table, the application, the interview with a producer, then they sent her an email with the requirements for a 5-10 minute home video addressed to some person. That's all I know. is that far? She is so nice, i really hope she gets it.
That's the end of Round 3. She still has 2 or 3 more rounds before a decision is made.
how long does it take for them to call you back?? I sent an email and got an INVITATION ONLY group interview, filled out the app, and they told us they would call us back. It's been a week and a half. What round am I in?? Do I still have a chance?? HELP!!!
Typically, VIP refers to a pass they email you to allow you to move to the front of the line. It has no other purpose other than that. For RW23, I was in an entire group (8 of us) of VIPs and only 2 of us got to fill out the 80 page paperwork after the interview (which means only 2 of us moved forward in the process and 6 were cut that day). I would say they probably have between 100 to 200 VIPs per location based off what I saw from the line. From what I saw, each group had 1 to 3 people to fill out paperwork...most of the time it was 2. Based off the amount of people they anticipate will show up, they will have 1 or 2 casting directors in each location. RW23 was staffed with 6 casting directors total for the entire process. When you're at the open casting call, the first thing you do is fill out a short 20 question survey...questions are typically: how would your friends describe you, what is the biggest issue facing you, major events in your life, current job, career aspirations, etc. This is a smaller version of the 80 page questionaire you fill out later. The questions they put in the smaller survey are really just to get a broad overview of you. In the group interviews they ask you to introduce yourself and then you have an open discussion about your favorite seasons (if you watch the show) and then some random questions to see how you interact with the group. While you introduce yourself, the casting director scans over your small survey and is figuring out how to place you: are you a person who has a story they can show? are you a person who will add personality to the show? Are you attractive or unique? They like you...you fill out the paperwork. If not, they say they will contact you...most likely probably not. There's the overview.
When I went it, wasn't an open casting call. I had to fill out the 20 page app before I got there and after the interview NO ONE that I saw was pulled to fill out more paperwork.

Ok cool. I sent in an email about a month and a half ago. Would you say they send out VIPs as they read the submissions? Or do they send them out once they have a casting in Dallas booked?

Does anyone know if they have had an invite-call in birmingham al yet?
Does anyone know if they have had an invite-call in birmingham al yet?
They had one in Mobile (which I know is nowhere close), but I haven't heard anything about Birmingham.
Well thanks to this sick new show on MTV, we realize that RW: Jersey Shore is probably not a possibility...

Every summer of my life at the jersey shore, it's so much fun.

haha... the Jersey Shore... the only place that it's chronically 1985!
the casting call I went to in dc you had to ask the person across from you a question and that was it and we left. am thinkin a casting call would be longer thin that. am shock they let out in because the casting call end at 5:00 pm and the 10 of us got in like 5:06. I think they are strict about the age because some guy said he was 25 and they were saying he couldnt apply. **** that sucks I bet its alot of people thats over the age got a interesting story the age just stop people. Its not fair at all
ugh that sucks about the age. i really think they should bump it up to like 27 or something. :(
I have a quick question. In the casting callls (vip) we just sat in a group and played a quick little game to get to know each other. We had to have the 20 page application filled out before we made it there. They said they would call back in a week after they review our applications, and im guessing i didnt make it because its been a week and a half or 2 and i havnt recieved a call. Do they usually take longer than they said to call?? Also has anyone in california gotten a call?
If you had a United States visa could you still able or do actually have to be a U.S. citizen?
If you had a United States visa could you still able or do actually have to be a U.S. citizen?
They've had foreigners before, so I don't know why you would have to be a US citizen, unless that is one of their prerequisites.

And nope they didn't talk to anyone after the interview, and from what I could tell they didnt call anyone back in the last 2 groups either since everyone came out at the same time. Also GOOD LUCK blahblah, hopefully they will give one of us or both of us a call back
How long does it take for them to get back to you once you have had a one on one taped interview with a casting director? (The round after the application). Has anyone gotten a call yet for the next round? Feel free to PM me if you would like.
no. i don't know how long it takes. how did the one on one go? was it nerve wrecking?
i think there still doing casting calls...i believe makin there way to the west coast now...but i did mine months ago...so im guessing the next phase is after they complete casting calls
how long did it hear you to get a call back after the app? i got a quick call from somone and she said they would contact me in a week or two but still nothing..
