Of course this is the game I can't watch. :( At least I finally got to see a win yesterday after all the weekend disappointment. What was the fight all about? I wasn't able to check gameday or anything until just now.

The Detroit pitcher nailed Youk and he charged the mound and both he and the pitcher were ejected. Two batters later, Bay hit a 3 run homer to tie the game. Next inning Francona got tossed for arguing a call (Drew was tagged out trying to steal second.) Oh and the best part....Lowell came in for Youk and has hit a solo shot and 2 run homer. :D
Intense! Man, Youk gets hit a lot...too bad this didn't happen with Joba, I would have LOVED to see Youk tackle him to the ground :)

Why can't they air this game for me?! :( Thursday better be a good game too! The weekend made me so depressed about the rest of the season and last nights game was too close for me to really enjoy.

Who really wants that coming after you? haha! I say, blame it on the beard! ;)
Lowell has been grooving it the last two nights!
I cant wait for this weekends series between my rangers and the red sox. Hopefully the rangers can sweep them again and possibly take the wildcard lead.
I cant wait for this weekends series between my rangers and the red sox. Hopefully the rangers can sweep them again and possibly take the wildcard lead.
I've heard of the Rangers before. Isn't that a hockey team from New York?
Jay Bay and Lowell are both on hot streaks continuing tonight. 3 hrs in 2 games for Lowell and 3 hrs in 3 games for Bay.
The Tigers are imploding right now...
The Tigers are imploding right now...
And you're surprised because...
The Tigers are imploding right now...
I guess everyone needs to take their turn at imploding, hopefully this past weekend was the end of it for us!
I guess everyone needs to take their turn at imploding, hopefully this past weekend was the end of it for us!
This weekend was a wakeup call. With Lowell and Bay hitting, our fortunes are rising.
This weekend was a wakeup call. With Lowell and Bay hitting, our fortunes are rising.
And all it took was a Bronx butt-whooping and a crazed Youk attack! Rawwrrrrr! haha
I've heard of the Rangers before. Isn't that a hockey team from New York?
Haha thats very funny. They are also a baseball team from Texas who swept the red sox about three weeks ago and are going to do it again this weekend.

I suspect it is hard for the guys to get up for a game against an American League West squad (also known in East Coast circles as the, "If a tree fell in the woods and no one was around to hear it..." division.) That being said, playing the Red Sox must be like the World Series for you guys! Heck you might even sell out that normally half full stadium! (When 15,000 people show up for a Red Sox game, we call it a Pawtucket Red Sox game.) No matter what happens this weekend, mark my words - your boys will be playing golf in October. So, enjoy what you can when you can. :D

I think your Sox are going to be sitting at home in October this year. After we take care of them this weekend. Then the yankees need to dominate them the rest of the season, i dont like saying that because i hate the yankees but if it will help out the rangers im all for it.
People always take shots at our division
Well, those that know about it do. :D
the Angels almost always have one of the top records in baseball
I'm guessing it "might" have something to do with the fact they play everyone in their [strike]AAA[/strike] division 17 times...
I think your Sox are going to be sitting at home in October this year.
We all can dream! Although I suspect you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
We all can dream! Although I suspect you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
Um...what'd you say a couple of days ago B? Oh that's right.
Ok, I am officially calling the season over. I hope that I come to regret this in the months ahead, but we just don't have what we need to be successful.
Sounds a little fairweather to me, my friend...
Sounds a little fairweather to me, my friend...
I still have the same stance. We will lose the division and lose to the Yankees in the playoffs. Nothing has changed. Unlike most cities, in Boston if you don't win the Series the season is a disappointment and I don't think we have what it takes to defeat the evil empire and it's payroll. We'll still get the wildcard birth (also known as "Alternate AL East Pennant") and be allowed to beat up on an American League West team in the playoffs...
..............Today's a loss with Buchholz on the mound. I guarantee it.
..............Today's a loss with Buchholz on the mound. I guarantee it.
Way to stay positive!

Although I suspect you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
I will agree that in past years our division has been poor because of the mariners, athletics and my rangers, but the rangers and mariners are both pretty good this year. I dont think im setting myself up for disapointment. The sox have alot of older players who have been struggling lately and have some key injuries. In the past the rangers would have faded by now but for once we have some pretty good pitching. The sox needed to get Teixeira in the offseason and they would have been set, he is one of the main reasons the yankees have been hot lately.V-mart was a good addition but he is no Teixeira
..............Today's a loss with Buchholz on the mound. I guarantee it.
It looks like good Buchholz is on the mound today! Well, at least through 2 innings. ;)
..............Today's a loss with Buchholz on the mound. I guarantee it.
Wow, you're good, although I'd rather say it was because Verlander was on the mound :) To give Buchholz credit though, he has been good his last 2 performances...just going against the wrong pitchers.
Is there a better 1-2 punch then the Cardinals Carpenter-Wainwright? Maybe Lincecum-Cain? How about the Cardinals lineup? Any better? Yankees? Phillies?
Yay, Ortiz homers to tie it! Some production finally!
I am LOVING the top of the 9th so far! :D
