IMO, production should have been the ones to send him off. Love how they made it look like they were gonna give him another chance but they had already bought the plane ticket. In Joey's defense, they had already told him to peace out, so what the **** was he supposed to do? Was he supposed to suck up to them, and tell them how sorry he is, and just have them be like "Oh well your leaving anyways."
Not saying he shouldn't have left, but the scene made Student City look like ********.
but when Bronne told his bosses about her they didn't seem to care.
Because Ayiiia has nothing to do with Joey missing work for a second time. Nothing at all.
Me: "Hey boss, sorry I have been skipping out on work, but...you see...Jessica has been sleeping in the break room when she should be on the floor. Can I keep my job?"
Boss: "That makes it right. Sure."

Actually, it made Joey look like an *******. Who knows how things would have turned out had he heard out his boss and showed some simple respect.

And this is where we will have to agree to disagree B. Sorry. Joey might have be an ******* (especially the first time), but student city IMO, looked like bigger *******s.
I'm just talking about that one scene, not the whole entire situation.
And this is where we will have to agree to disagree B. Sorry.
So Student City looks bad because.....?
They fired a derelict employee who has no respect at all for the job? Give me a break. The fact that they even went to see him was above and beyond.
As someone who has fired my share of people, I would have done it over the phone...
Me: Why did you miss your shift?
Joey: My alarm...
Me: You're fired. Bye.
Joey: But..but..
Me: *click*
I understand both point of views from tj and B...but i actually gotta agree with B on this one. Joey clearly didn't have respect for his job. Just because Joey got fired didn't mean he had to be disrespectful to his bosses whether he was angry or not.
but when Bronne told his bosses about her they didn't seem to care. I also think that Joey reacted to getting fired like most people would. Some people would beg but others get very mad and don't want to talk to the person that fired you.
They didn't care because it was very obvious Bronne was using Ayiiia as a means to save his buddy, Joey. I am not saying that Ayiiia wasn't lazy, she very well could have been, but that wasn't the issue.
Joey failed to show up for one shift and the SC people were understanding enough to give him another chance - many employers wouldn't do that. He even cursed and acted completely unprofessional in the teleconference, and still was given that chance.
Setting CJ's quiet watch alarm when he was only going to get 4 hours of sleep was absurd and irresponsible. He should have been more precautionary given his history of not showing up to work. I find it hard to believe that in that entire house, he couldn't find a more suitable alarm or at least gone out to purchase one.
He demonstrated an unwillingness to be committed to the job and that is why SC bought him that plane ticket. Bronne's lame Ayiiia scapegoat attempt made me lose a lot of respect for him. If he had a problem with Ayiiia, he should have brought it up at another time instead of trying to sacrifice her for Joey.

Because SC seemed to sit around and want to talk about it. They already gave him the plane ticket, and told him to head to leave, did they really expect him to be all flowers and sunshine about it? Were talking about Joey here.
I feel ya TJ and I agree. The whole scene screamed unneccessary to me and rubbed me the wrong way (SC I mean).
And a total topic changer, does Christina's voice sound funny to anyone? Are my ears clogged? Something about the way she talks weirds me out.
but when Bronne told his bosses about her they didn't seem to care. I also think that Joey reacted to getting fired like most people would. Some people would beg but others get very mad and don't want to talk to the person that fired you.
If Bronne was having an issue with Ayiiia not doing anything, he should have brought it up then, not a few days (or however long it was) later. He said she said is hard to fire someone for...but when you flat out see someone not doing it, or have proof, it's much easier.
I agree with B. There's a big difference from not showing up (twice) and showing up and not giving it your all. And it was pretty ****** for Bronne to throw Ayiiia under the bus that way. But it backfired so I suppose it doesn't matter.
Did Joey ever even apologize? He never even took responsibility. He continuously said "My roommate's alarm didn't go off." and blah blah blah. But... your roommate wasn't the one who needed to be at work. He should have set that alarm himself if he really cared.
I think it would have been a better scene to watch Ayiiia smile as Joey is leaving, but I guess her gloating to the others as they cry was good enough for me. I'm sorry I can't help it!
it's ok neither can i mph...it seems mean but ayiiia smiling while joey leaving...that would've made the episode for me...like highlight moment is the expression on her face lol It would've been priceless
Personally I think that all sides were put into a position that they didn't want to be put into. I doubt student city wanted to fire Joey and send him home from this experience. MTV probably didn't want Joey to go because of the drama that he causes which is good for ratings. I also think that now Joey is gone the rest of the season will concentrate on how people don't like Ayllia. Why did we vote her into this cast?
I've never had a boss say to me, "Yes, you missed work twice this week but you helped out the other day so that makes it alright. Heck, let me give you a raise! You are our favorite employee when you decide to show up to work. That is good enough for us."
Haha, I know right? Reminds me of RW San Diego when the cast members would get a *bonus* just for showing up on time. Say what? Way to encourage these spoiled kids into being enormously entitled.
Sorry, Joey, but nobody is obligated to repeatedly hold your hand and making soft coo'ing noises just because Mommy isn't around to function as your alarm clock. Besides, I thought he didn't care? If that were the case, he wouldn't have been bawling and stomping his little feetsies every time he was forced to deal with the consequences of his actions. People aren't an extension of his reality; he made people scramble to clean up his mess on two seperate occasions. He can deal. Welcome to the "real world". Heh.
We've already seen him whine a million times -- and god, it was hilarious -- so I don't know where he gets off pretending he's too punk rawk for MTV. Incredible.

The music editors at BMP had fun with this episode. It's funny how LMFAO's popularity has peaked since last night's episode.

Maybe because there are people that actually like her...i know i like her.
This episode was the second time we've seen Christina stick up for Ayiiia. The first time being when Emilee and Jasmine tried to get her to call her in when Ayiiia was sick. Why would she keep sticking up for someone who is supposedly a terrible worker?
But some of you are right. She's a horrible boss because she fired someone who was very vocal about how he felt about his job, missed two shifts and had no respect for authority.
Some of you think what SC did was uncalled for, but how many of you have ever had real jobs? The last job I had I was let go from because I had to attend a funeral for a close friend who passed away from cancer. I have no sympathy for Joey.

I never said what SC did was uncalled for, it was how they did it. Just like last episode, stretched it out for an unnecessary conference instead of telling him on the phone privately.
As someone posted before, they should have let him know on the phone he was fired, instead of going to the suite, giving him his plane ticket, and then expecting him to suck up to them. He just got kicked off the show, was he supposed to do tell him how great they were?
I was never against or for Joey going home, I just don't think the situation was handled properly.

I think people need to stop thinking this was Student City's desired set-up, and start thinking Production.

Production, SC, whatever. I know it was dragged out for dramatic purposes but that point that I'm making is that it was unnecessary. I am in no way shape or form sticking up for Joey in terms of him being fired.

I had no idea who they were, until RW:Cancun, starting getting more coverage. Funny thing is, I just heard their song on the other day. I must be living in a cave.

I guess as his boss they have the right to fire him however they want. At least he got notice, I wasn't even given that. I showed up the next day and was no longer on the schedule.
People need to understand that in the actual real world, and not a show that claims to be it, things happen that we aren't going to like. We're going to get fired or laid off, and we're almost never going to agree with the reasons or how our bosses handle the situation.
I guess if he would have handled everything right to begin with, they wouldn't have had to go there in the first place. That's the one thing I hate about these reality shows. It gives the cast members a false sense of entitlement. The fact that he thought he should be forgiven multiple times for the same infraction speaks volumes about his character, and I have no problem with how SC fired him. From what I saw, I actually thought they were too nice about it.
I think people need to stop thinking this was Student City's desired set-up, and start thinking Production.
I completely agree. Look at how he reacted and tell me that's not what production was hoping would happen.
