"Thanks for leaving us with Ayiiia" I thought she was saying that in a joking kinda way thats all...well to me thats how it came off lol.
That's exactly how I felt. It's no big deal to me. We all know Joey dislikes Ayiiia and I felt as though she was saying it to lighten the mood seeing as it was a rough day for Joey.
Good luck with whatever you do in the future Joey. Hopefully we'll see you on a RW/RR challenge. *fingers crossed*
I did feel a little second hand embarrassment for Jasmine when he put the pillow in her face...like, what? lol I love these random characters that pop up. I don't think I'll forget "Pat."
Yeah the Pat dude has got to be gay. I mean you got a hot *** chick all over you (yes jasmine I'm talking about you) but he doesn't act on it wtf! lmao
Joey's reaction towards his bosses was completely CLASSLESS. It was nobody's fault but his own. You're an adult, figure out your alarm! Really...
He deserved to go and that's all I'll say on the matter.
Whats up with Emilee's comment, "No don't leave us here with Aiiiya." or something like that. What is she, two faced or what? I thought her and Aiiiya were friends.
i feel that what Emilee and Jonna were saying was right about jasmine having insecurity issues, but Pat really did her wrong by continuing to lead her on. watchin her get turned down sucked.
not a big fan of joey though so i wasn't too appalled at his eviction. his behavior was really inappropriate towards his job and his boss. and if you're gonna be like that then you don't need to be in the house.
Whats up with Emilee's comment, "No don't leave us here with Aiiiya." or something like that. What is she, two faced or what? I thought her and Aiiiya were friends.
Seriously. That was incredibly messed up. I've never heard Ayiiia backbite any of them. Yet the women are more loyal and shmoozy towards Joey, the guy who viciously trashes all of them whenever it's convenient? The picture, it gets more pathetic.
Also messed up: Bronne trying to throw Ayiiia under the bus when Joey was getting the boot. So hilarious that the management blew him off. "That's nice. We actually prefer people who show up to their shifts. Sayonara, Joey." I liked watching Ayiiia gloat; it was delicious and retributive.
Joey trying to act like he didn't care that he got the boot? Yeah, whatever. He totally cried, just like when he got a cup of water thrown at his stupid guitar. That's fine, I guess, but don't try to act like some bad-boy rebellious cavalier. Just admit you're devastated. Oh, and I hope he enjoyed his flight home. Heh. ;)
We just gonna act like that Pat dude ain't gay? That skipping after his haircut was textbook
This has been covered numerous times and Pat is not gay. Also, from the upcoming trailer it is clear we will be seeing more of him and it will not be with Jasmine (i.e. check out the spoiler thread.)
Whats up with Emilee's comment, "No don't leave us here with Aiiiya." or something like that. What is she, two faced or what? I thought her and Aiiiya were friends.
They are friends. While an unfortunate comment, that was then and this is now. We all say things we sometime regret in retrospect. Emilee is a great girl who made a comment that no longer holds true. I think we can move on knowing her current friendship with Ayiiia outweighs a highlighted, frozen moment from the past.

Maybe this will end up being a good life lesson for Joey as in the real, real world - your boss usually doesn't care why you didn't show up at work for a second time. Forgot to set the alarm. Broke a fingernail. House caught on fire. Asteroid landed in backyard. It doesn't matter. You are going to get walking papers...
Not to mention his work attitude was poor and that was exuded in his demeanor. In my experience, exceptions can sometimes be made for superstars on the job, where maybe 2 or 3 strikes are allowed over time - but Joey was not a superstar.
Actually, I wouldn't put it past Christina to have given him that shift just so she could remove his negativity from the work environ. It was practically a given that if he had a week's worth of early morning shifts, he'd miss one.
Joey deserved to go home. Alarm clock or not he blew his second chance. He should've just went to bed early like some people(me included)
***** <3333333333333333
Ayiiia <3.
And I don't like Jasmine bringing this Girl code crap into it. HE IS NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND!!! Girl code or not Jonna can flirt with him.
But as the same time though Jonna has a man so I don't think that she should be running around being flirtatious. She obviously doesn't care enough about Matt to knock if off.
...actually.. that alarm going off was edited in. lol
How would you even know that? Alarms go off. If he set it properly (which CJ claims he did), then technology shouldn't fail him. The next thing you're going to claim is that Joey didn't even exist, and MTV edited him in.
It's also extremely obvious that Jonna tries very hard to "love" her boyfriend at home. She acts as if she owes him something. Quite frankly, she sounds fake when she's talking to her boyfriend via phone or to the cameras about Matt. I don't get how anyone in a relationship can't see through her.
Thanks for the welcome. But again, very few people would necessarily know if a watch alarm went off in the SAME room after 3.5 hours of sleep, let alone in a different part of the house! I think Emilee has played the 'edit' card one too many times. Yes, MTV edits their shows relentlessly, but this scenario seems very legitimate.

I don't know if Joey is a reflection of today's growingly uncivil society, but it seems like whenever he didn't get his way he just acted like a rude doooshbag.
Someone else in the forum mentioned that if Joey had just been polite and apologized upfront the bosses may have spared him, and I think I agree with that.
As proof, the very first thing he says to his bosses when they arrive is "what up?"
I mean come on, if I were his bosses I would've just said "GTFO" right then and there.
Despite that, I went back to the tape to see if there was any chance for Joey's survival:
Christina: It's something we hate to do, but you have to go home.
Joey: No it's cool, I'll just go home, it's ridiculous....(walks out on them, later comes back) You guys can leave now.
(Wow, I mean, maybe if he had talked it out and hadn't been rude to them right then and there he could've gotten a reprieve.)
Christina: I know you're upset, look at me.
(Christina appeared to be wanting to offer him some sympathy)
Joey: You guys ruined this for me.
Christina: It's the second time.
Joey: It doesn't @#$%ing matter. I don't care, I don't want to hear it.
---
So I actually don't think that Joey not waking up was the reason he was sent home, it was the complete disrespect he gave his bosses.
Debut Album, the only reason I can think of is if you don't take your job seriously enough. Joey seems like a pretty cool guy, but he lacks responsibility. These are the types of people that are fun to hang out because of their care-free attitude but prove to be unreliable in long-term friendships. He had an opportunity to be on TV and experience something thousands of people applied for.
I'm definitely gonna say that those Student City people took their jobs WAY too seriously. You're helping coordinate Spring Break, who cares? College kids will find a way to have a good time when they get together and alcohol is involved. Those nerds that worked for Student City acted as though their job was helping organize a motorcade route for the president or something, just totally lame people.
:( This episode made me sad, and I'm going to miss Joey.
First, I have to point out that I loved the fact that MTV spoiled him leaving about 15 minutes into the episode, good job lol.
This episode has made me realize how much I love Bronne. Just some of the things he said were hilarious, and I liked how he stuck up for Joey to try to keep him in the house.
Poor Jasmine, if I were her I would have been frustrated as well. Pat was giving her so many mixed signals. I understand why she might have been upset with Jonna for giving so much attention to Pat, but I have to agree that he isn't her boyfriend so he's allowed to do what he wants.
Joey, Joey, Joey... I really think that if he didn't react the way he did when Christina came in they might have given him another chance. But in all honesty I'm kind of the same way, if your going to hand me a plane ticket when you walk in the door I'm not going to be the nicest person to you if you want to talk afterwards, doesn't matter who you are. I felt bad for him when he was crying when he was saying goodbye to Emilee and Derek because even though he was saying that he didn't care, I think he was still upset that he was going home.
The whole segment with Ayiiia saying how happy she was that Joey was leaving bothered me. Mostly because I'm not Ayiiia's biggest fan. I understand that she and Joey were not friends at the time, which is fine, but I don't know something about her just rubs me the wrong way.
This aftershow was much better than the last one in my opinion. Though it seems like there's alot more to come before the season is over.
Snarkaholic, maybe there was a slight chance of him staying if he showed some tact and respect for his boss. However, the bottom line is that Student City had already bought his flight home, even before his supervisors stepped into the house. No business would invest time, effort, and money to BS its employees.
So yes, I think Joey was going to be released before his boss arrived, but I also think that Bronne worked a pretty good angle, and maybe... MAYBE if Joey showed some remorse or took some sort of responsibility, he would have been given a third chance.
Rambo, the reason why those people take their job seriously is because they have to. When you can't get intoxicated or fraternize with customers, you end up focusing on your job (which is the purpose of enacting those restrictions in the first place).
I caught the last 3 minutes of this. ****ing sucks about joey man. I don't like him but still he was ok i guess. I guess if your name is Joey you won't last on TRW.

Wow, you know, that's a really good point, cjslife, and as much as I think Joey acted like a jerk for most of the show, on second thought, wow, Student City really did railroad him.
I can't believe Student City had already bought his plane tickets. What a bully move! Am I right to observe that this fly-by-night sweatshop isn't unionized and Joey had no rights to arbitration? Think about it. I feel like MTV basically handed over production to a morally shady third-party that gave impossible responsibilities to Joey (I mean, an 8am shift after a night shift??) and then when he predictably couldn't honor them, stuffed a plane ticket in his face. WTF?
Joey should not have relied on CJ to set the alarm clock. Joey is the only person that is accountable for his actions. After all, Joey is an adult and should learn to take responsibility for himself.
Student City could have sent him home after the first incident, but they gave him a second chance to prove that he wanted to be there. The Student City bosses were very empathetic after the first occurrence, but Joey once again disappointed them. Aside from disappointing his employers, Joey could not fulfill the requirements of the job. This served as the perfect grounds for termination for this unruly employee. In the end, Joey gave them no other choice but to send him home. Anyway, in the corporate world, excuses such as alarm clocks will not gain you much sympathy at all.
I also love how Bronne tried to throw Ayiiia under the bus to keep his little buddy on the show. Bronne must not have read the contract because attendance is one of the major stipulations of employment with Student City. At least she showed up for her shift whereas Joey did not. There is a big difference, buddy.
While that may be true, Marco, CJ is Joey's roommate and they work together so its not unusual that he would as him for that. Also, remember episode 1 where (CJ) put Joey to bed or sent him home.
Joey should have taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that he would be able to attend his shift. Like Christina said, Joey could have just stayed up all night. Joey could have also gone out to purchase his own alarm clock so that he could have been sure that it worked.

Seriously... or, you know, call the FRONT DESK for a wake-up call -- that's one of the best things about being at a hotel, no need for alarm clocks...
