Just now watching online and sorry if this was already brought up but...... ***** at Bronne sleeping with his mouth open while "I am not a *****" is the background song!! Classic.
Im so glad Joey was sent home...especially after seeing how he treated his bosses...How low is it to throw your "working" shirt to them....and how he was talking to christina....Joey is my least favorite castmember... ........My favorite part of this episode was when Ayiiia found out about Joey leaving the house.....i would have loved to see her laugh in his face...that would be GREAT!!!!
Seriously... or, you know, call the FRONT DESK for a wake-up call -- that's one of the best things about being at a hotel, no need for alarm clocks...
Oh snap. Why didn't I trhink of that. Yeah wake up calls are still in after all.

They basically did all this for free publicity, not caring about the castmembers' qualifications, experience, motiviation, or even desire to do the job! So for those two people (don't remember their names) to get all sanctimonious about how it's a job, and it's important, and they don't like having to fire Joey, but they have no choice...I call BS."

I agree with that. I'm watching the episode now. And yes for Student Sh**y. lol.
Not every cast mate has always liked the job that they get assigned to on The Real World but the key fact is that all of them know going in that it is their responsibility to perform the tasks required of that job to stay on the show. All of the cast members know this coming in (please correct me if this isn't true) so Joey really only has himself to blame. Also at the aftershow he knew that it was his last shot and if that had been me I would have set a bunch of alarms (and went out and buy an alarm clock) as well as not drink alcohol the night before to ensure waking up in time. Also Jonna fell a few notches in my book with the way she was flirting with Pat, come on your housemate was at him first atleast talk to her before you start going after him (sorry I had something very similar happen to me but my friend ended up making out and messing around with the guy and lied to me about it, it was not very cool). Also great job by Bronne! Ok Sorry about my rant...
I really thought Jonna was going to respect her boyfriend, but apparently not. Peace Joey! I kind of liked to see Ayiiia glowing about it haha I agree with Bacchus - "CJ set the alarm, I swear" doesn't mean ****. CJ getting on the phone doesn't mean ****. You ****ed up. Later, man.
Seriously... or, you know, call the FRONT DESK for a wake-up call -- that's one of the best things about being at a hotel, no need for alarm clocks...
I am so glad someone brought this up finally...I am sitting here trying to catch up ont he thread wondering why no one has mentioned that all he had to do was call the FD and ask for a wakeup call...and then sleep in the phone room by the loud *** phone and wait for it to ring. My thoughts... Joey was in the wrong...everyone is responsible for their own actions...even waking up for work whether your alarm clock goes off or not...just about any job would write you up for the same thing...even if you got a flat tire on your awasy to work...it is usually a write up or warning. Joey already had his warning for parting all day and not working his night shift and he was given 1 more chance. Jasmine, hunny I love you so much, but I am sorry Pat was just not that into you. I think he liked hanging out with you and laughing, but I just don't think he was sexually attracted to you (stupid, stupid boy cuz I think you are gorgeous) I don't really care what kind of guy you are, if you are straight and it is being thrown at you by someone whom hasn't done anything to make you hate/despise them in the past then you are going to take it (even sometimes if you do hate them, LOL)...unless you are just not sexually attracted to that person. Jonna...oh Jonna...imo, she is the classic "girl who thrives on attention from the male species"...it seems that is what makes her feel complete and whole. Having a boyfriend I think was just a security blanket for her...I don't get the impression that she is was ever as serious about Matt as he was about her. I think if the situation had been reversed between her and Jasmine she would have been just as ****** off. She seems liek the type of girl that would flip out if she was not the girl getting the most attention from the guys. I really like her when she is just being laid back Jonna who stays out of the girl drama but then she goes and does such hipocritical things that turn me off. Ayiiia - I like her too, BUT I did not agree with her gloating so much while the girls were upset...it was just rude imo. Bronne - the chick was hot...from the neck down :D Derek - oh Derek how I would love to hang with you...you seem like so much fun! CJ - what are you going to do without your commander in chief to follow around like a little lost puppy?? I might feel bad about being kind of harsh but it is what it is and I really really like all the roommates for different reasons...this is just what bothered me on this episode.
I really thought Jonna was going to respect her boyfriend, but apparently not.
Yeah it would've been nice to actually see someone stay faithful to their signifigant other back home for a change, but the chances of that happening in a place like Cancun are slim to none. The more I think about it though if you have to keep saying over and over that you're going to remain faithful, that you love this person so much, chances are you're not. Remaining faithful is not something you say you're going to do, it's just something that you do. And poor Jasmine she really looks like she's trying way to hard with a guy who doesn't seem like he's worth the effort. Part of me was sad to see Joey go, but he f**ked up and the way he reacted with them certainly didn't help his case.

To me student city is the easiest job to have these days, all the roomates had to do was show up as a minimum requirement. Joey couldn't even do that and to top it copped a tude when they said he was leaving. If he did not let his emotions rule over him at that point and time then there maybe might have been a slight chance he would have been able to stay. Also I agree about calling the front desk in the hotel for a wake up call.
awww man, im gonna miss joey's humor. Hope the next episodes are still somewhat funny.
awww man, im gonna miss joey's humor. Hope the next episodes are still somewhat funny.
Don't worry Element, Bronne is still here :victory:
Yeah Bronne is still there and to be honest he's made me laugh a lot more than Joey has.
Best episode of the RW Cancun this season. I was very surprised that CJ stuck up for Joey and said the alarm clock not going off was his fault. I give CJ credit for at least being able to talk to the SC boss on the phone professionally, whereas Joey just tells everyone "He wasn't ****** feeling good", or "He ****** overslept". I am not sure what kind of jobs Joey has had in the past, but the way he addresses his superiors is downright despicable and frankly quite ignorant. It is unfortunate that most of the house mates were finally getting closer and Joey had to leave, but in the end, obviously he was too immature to hold the Student City job. I would bet that the people on the casting crew thought of this and considered it as one of the reasons for putting him on the show. Nothing makes for better television than an immature man-child who can't even successfully set an alarm clock, nor take responsibility for his actions. Ayiiia is right, karma is a ****** and Joey got exactly what he deserved. About time.
and Emilee is God? Why would I believe it just because she said it?!? lol*
After watching this episode AGAIN it's totally clear that Derek has a better chance of hooking up with Pat than Jasmine*** He even says "I'm different, I'm different than all the other guys" LoL* His haircut was hideous to btw* Bronne is my favorite cast member - adorable* CJ needs to loosen up and get wild* SOOO GLAD JOEY IS GONNNEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!! LUV IT* HE DESERVED EVERY BIT OF IT! I was stoked for Ayiiia when this happened! LoL*

LoL*
Haha I hate to be a jerk but I was pretty stoked for Ayiiia when Joey left too lol...she seemed so happy in her dailie today of her in the confessional. And even though alot of people seem to think Pat's gay I really don't think he is...he's just not sexually attracted to Jasmine.
This episode has left me angry. First the boss of student city is an idiot. Ayilla did nothing to help out. How does she not get in trouble. Yes Joey was late but he help out. To have made up her mind without a discussion was wrong. Does MTV want to have lower ratings. The only reason why I watch is because Joey's antics. Bronne and Joey together = good tv. Ayllia you acted very imature in the way that you acted in this episode. Finally, CJ your a punter from UMASS, the chances of you ever making a training camp our very slim, If you are smart try to tryout for the CFL, or the UFL.
Yes Joey was late but he help out.
I am guessing most of the people that hold this opinion and have voiced it in this thread have never worked a day in their lives. I've never had a boss say to me, "Yes, you missed work twice this week but you helped out the other day so that makes it alright. Heck, let me give you a raise! You are our favorite employee when you decide to show up to work. That is good enough for us." Can you imagine a job like that? hahaha. :D
I am sorry if my comment came out that way, but the point is this yes Joey was late and he should be punished, but why wasn't Ayllia yelled at for not doing anything. I think both acts are wrong. Oh and yes I would love to have a boss like you describe.
lol sounds like a dream job...but i get what you mean. Yeah an employee might be helpful but missing 2 shifts in the same week...not ok.
I was in the service industry many moons ago (as is the cast working for Student City.) The slogan in that line of work is: No Call, No Show, No Job. Basically, you miss a shift, don't come in again until it is time to pick up your last paycheck. ;)
That is what a job is supposed to be. But I think it was wrong to make a decision before having a sit down with Joey and the rest of the roomates.
yeah in defense to Ayiiia, at least she shows up on time to work...and if she wasn't helping...obviously she hasn't been that unhelpful since it doesn't seem like she's had to be talked to about it from her bosses...Joey...missed shifts...he kinda deserved that plane ticket home IMO.
but when Bronne told his bosses about her they didn't seem to care. I also think that Joey reacted to getting fired like most people would. Some people would beg but others get very mad and don't want to talk to the person that fired you.
yeah they most likely didn't care because at least she showed up for work and when Bronne brought up Ayiiia not helping..it didn't really excuse Joey not showing up for the second time
