While Hollywood was more Vegas than old school Real World, it was alot better than this garbage.
While, which season is the best season will always be up for debate, I just kind of like the general feel of all the RW seasons. The on location overhead and crane shots. The amazing amount of new music that is introduced on the show. The format of putting 7 (now 8) strangers in a house for 4 months. Seeing a new city (or at least neighborhood) each season. I just like the real World concept...I take the good with the bad...at least they gave us Brooklyn wedged into between so called "party" seasons. The Real World is the only reality show I have ever watched, other than a few recent Challenges. But this is all off topic and is best addressed in the "general topics" thread...so I will add, that I am looking forward to seeing if any of next episodes will match the intensity of episode 5!
I have to say, I felt bad for Bronne in this episode because it was clear that he didn't agree with what Joey was doing, but because he's friends with Joey, he couldn't really disagree with him and say, "Man, that's f***ed up."
To me that shows weak character.
To me that shows weak character.
I agree. Bronne upset me. Everyone else recognized how wrong it was, but Bronne decided to side with someone because he is obviously to weak to say anything.
Joey is this seasons Ryan imo. And that's not a good thing.
I agree. Bronne upset me. Everyone else recognized how wrong it was, but Bronne decided to side with someone because he is obviously to weak to say anything.
I don't think that shows him to be a strong person by any means, but he'd obviously seen what Joey did to people who didn't like him or disagreed with him. Yes, he should have been stronger and stood up for what he believed in, but I think in that situation he probably felt it best to not cause Joey to get even more riled up and start b****ing about how his friend was taking Ayiiia's side and give him even more ammo against Ayiiia.
To me that shows weak character.
True enough. But, I think his reasons for doing that may have something to do with his dislike of Ayiiia as well as being Joey's friend and just one of the guys (who were a tight group)...which could be considered weak character too...but we all know that BMP picks people who clash, so I tend to blame the process more than I blame the character of the cast members.
You guys should check out Joey's facebook and myspace. It's ridiculous what people say. One person actually said "Next time you should make her kill herself". And then all these girls say things like "I don't care if you're an ***, you're so hott!". Trash.
I do...but only if I'm naked.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA This is the best post on Vevmo. Ever.
It's official - I completely loathe this season. Bronne was the only one I felt even the slightest bit positive about but now I seem him for the same d-bag as the other guys. What kind of MAN wont stand up for a WOMAN who is being severely mistreated just because its his BOYS doing the dirty work and he doesnt want to go against them? Weak and cowardly!! I feel a bit more positive towards Jasmine because she was there for Ayiiia and really tried to help. I could not really tell if Jonna was sincere - she is a difficult person for me, the viewer, to get a read on. I cannot stand Emilee - all of a sudden she wants to be Ayiia's friend when the S*** went down but yet she tries to justify Joey's actions?? Sorry but thats not a friend. While I don't like Ayiia's personality, I did feel for her last night. I don't think she would do something like that for attention, but even if she did that is still an indication that she had a problem. Joey = even more despicable than Puck - and I didnt think that was possible. I havent read the spoilers for this season, so I'm only going to keep watching in the off chance that some of these "people" get sent home early (ala He who shall not be named).
Note: Personal attacks will be removed immediately as might the poster of said attacks. Let's stick to the show and stop commenting about other posters...
Ok, question: Can we personally attack Joey? Honestly...Ayiiia did seem to be difficult at times. She did seem to be the center of all the drama - but there is no excuse for what Joey did and said to her regarding the cutting. Someone really close to me used to cut a lot, and it took her a long, long time before she was able to stop and get comfortable with herself and the reasons for it. Watching Joey act like a child and attack Ayiiia like that enraged and disgusted me. Yes, he had some good points re: Ayiiia vs. the rest of the house, but the way he handled his opinions left him with nothing. He's trash. As far as I'm concerned, Joey doesn't = Tyler; Joey = he who we do not name.

Sorry but thats not a friend.
Emilee is a friend of Ayiiia's, and Ayiiia herself will testify to that. Emilee just happens to be a friend of both Ayiiia AND Joey, and so she finds herself between a rock and a hard place...and for the record, Emilee has stated here on Vevmo herself that she in NO WAY justified Joey's actions at the time...she has just now moved past it (along with Ayiiia) and on to a better place. It's called forgiveness...or better yet...Live And Learn! :)

Ah I missed this last night because my DVR was full...blah I'll catch the rerun tonight hopefully.

Joey = Puck.
Well said, I was just about to respond in the exact same way. :)
And I will practice what I preach and try to forgive Ayiiia for any previous errors in instigating fights and saying mean things herself and take a fresh look at her in the next episode! :)
Some people dont deserve forgiveness.
Jesus would have a thing or two to say about that! :) But seriously, Joey is not a serial killer nor did he hit her...he made some bad calls and said some things to Ayiiia he shouldn't have said...they just don't along well...it happens. I understand many people think that what Ayiiia was going through is VERY serious (and is indeed is!), but in reality, we ALL have something that is tragic in our lives...not just Ayiiia...let the season play out. I mean I took GREAT offense at Ayiiia's adoption statement, and it was offensive on so many levels when you are talking about the unknown whereabouts of your parents, but I understand she was upset and I forgive her for that...Joey deserves the same extension. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me...is probably the best thing to live by in this seemingly cold hearted world.

But there is a difference between saying something hurtful in the heat of battle (so to speak) and actively exploring way to break another person down and cause them to hurt themselves or others.
I don't understand how the adoption comment has anything to do with Joey telling Ayiiia to go cut herself and hang signs up of knives telling her to do so and to go home.
Was Emilee's abortion comment on the dailys or do we only know about it because she told us?
I agree with all of what you wrote except the bolded part - even "he who shall not be named" wasnt that bad. Joey = Puck.
Haha, maybe you're right. Maybe I spoke too soon! lol
I don't understand how the adoption comment has anything to do with Joey telling Ayiiia to go cut herself and hang signs up of knives telling her to do so and to go home.
Sundream was trying to make the point that Ayiia said hurtful things too. However, what she said to Emilee is not nearly as bad as some of the things Joey said to her in my opinion. There is a line.

i think their is already a lot of hostility and bad feelings towards each other between a lot of the cast and ayiii. ayii said herself she wouldn't let the guys get to know the real her so why would they like her? this was before this episode too . So if there is all this pent up hostility all it takes is someone to make an unnecesary remark like ayii did and a big blowup ensues. Did joey take it too far? definately yes. does ayii instigate all these fights and tell the girls she did absolutely nothing wrong and the guys attacked her for no reason., Yes, So far on all the arguments she has been in she has claimed she did nothing. Could just be because she was drunk, but joey and ayii both instigate in their own ways. ayii had no reason to say that to Cj but he flipped out only becasue of bad feelings rolling over from before. if she won't let them get to know her than it will never change how they feel about her imo. after this incident now she definately won't so lots more fights to come i am sure. Everyone had fault in this but it's just who took it the farthest and joey clearly did. How it all got started and the original instigator though was ayii. But she in no way deserved the cutting comments
Was Emilee's abortion comment on the dailys or do we only know about it because she told us?
What did Emiliee say about abortion?
What did Emiliee say about abortion?
Two episodes ago when Aiiiya and Emilee were arguing, Aiiiya said, "At least I wasn't adopted, *****!" What actually happened (according to the unedited Dailies) was that Emilee made a negative remark against Aiiiya about her abortion, and then Aiiiya responded back with the adoption comment. On TV, it was edited to look as if Aiiiya took the low blow, and it isn't necessarily true.
Joey was just ridiculous in the way he responded to the situation. It is one thing to dislike someone but to react the way he did was just completely ridiculous and so childish. I can't believe he sat on the reunion show yesterday and didn't even feel a little embarrassed for the way he reacted. I sat at home and was in disgust at the way he took so much pride in hurting someone. People like that are just so hateful and it's sad to watch.
I think Mark was way too cutesy with Joey during the after-show...it was supposed to be a discussion on cutting and it devolved into Joey biting his lip and saying how he banged some chick by saying he was in Fall Out Boy... what's the point of an aftershow if it's going to be hijacked.
That kind of bothered me too, not just Mark talking to Joey about that, but the whole aftershow itself. It just seemed kind of rushed to me. The Doctor they had to talk about cutting only said one or two things before they moved on.
There is a line.
And who makes these lines? I think ANYTIME someone is not civil, then they have crossed the line...and that just about includes the entire casts of the last 20 seasons...civility should just not be reserved for mental disorders.
