I think it's about time for survivor to stop invading peaceful secluded islands, and tainting the paradise with soap opera mentality. The last thing Samoa needs is another resort taking advantage of the people and the land. Try survivor east LA and see how entertaining it is. The one thing that makes Samoa beautiful is the fact that they have kept their heritage and traditions alive and well, they have pride, unlike other south pacific countries like Fiji or Tahiti, that have sacrificed that for money. Once the land has been compromised that is the beginning of the end. Tourists come and leave with a tan, but what is left for Samoa, A few jobs. None of the money that will be raised by the show will go to help the school system, healthcare, infrastructure, etc. All the money will go to the creators of the show and the resort that follows will only create a few jobs, but will not in any way, help Samoa. I know, I lived there for three and a half years, PCV. Most of the resorts treat the locals very poorly, sometimes involving drugs(ice) and prostitution brought in from American Samoa,(about 40 miles east of Samoa). The sooner they get the show over with, the better.
You went though the registration process just to bring us this? I feel special.
Here is a Google Maps image of the filming location, located at 13˚59' 30.95" S, 171˚26'14.98" W

Thanks to busycorner for the information!
Anyone remember how many people they said would be in the cast during the preview at the end of the Tocantins reunion?
18.
18.
Okay I'll jump down there and see what's up lol I like it when it's a larger cast for some reason. Only if they have a more interesting group than Tocantins though. They did have potential but it was never realized and the finale dropped viewers. Hopefully we get something pretty good this time as these next two season as said are pretty much make or break.
Survivor: Samoa premieres on Thursday, September 17.
Has this season start filming yet?
The last scheduled day for filming is supposedly July 19th, so give or take 40 days, it started filming on or around June 11th (which doesn't really coincide with the "late June" date that the application called for availability)
On another note, Survivor: Samoa is set to debut on Thursday, September 17th at its regular 8-9pm time slot.
Don't expect me around the Spoilers section too much, since i wanna do what i haven't done since watching Vanuatu and that is be totally suprised in terms of the new players, who goes, and who wins. That also means making a huge effort on my part not to visit the big Spoiler sites which i'm sure you all know without me having to type them. Over the years, i've read tons of spoilers for Survivor as well as many other reality shows that in a sense, it's not just ruining the element of suprise for me, it's also kinda numbing my sense of pure and true excitement. For the first time, i wanna view a full season of Survivor and be truly enjoying the ride (same goes for Amazing Race, i'll know who the teams are for sure, but i wanna experience the ride the same way by not knowing who are the final 3 teams, nor all the teams finishing positions, sorry for going O.T. but just had to mention that to get my point across). On the note of location, Samoa looks great, spectacular so i really hope September gets here quickly so i can view Samoa and TAR15 in the way i haven't done for a long time.

The question is, are they going to be using the same beach for 19 and 20?
Do you guys think any of the Samoa cast will be on All Stars?
It's possible, but I doubt it's likely. They would only have about two weeks to rehab and then do it all over again.
Even when Amanda and James did China and Fans vs Favorites back to back, they still had almost 2 months in between. I wouldn't find it to be too conducive to their mental and physical well-being.
Here's some more information about the "Survivor Samoa Beach Resort":
STUNNING piece of real estate. All the raw materials a developer dreams of; lots of elevated land with lots of character, a beautiful, pristine stretch of beach, fantastic panoramic views, secluded, tranquil surroundings, yet all still close to civilization and amenities! Situated at the end of the village proper , where it is quieter and less populated.
AND it is located in an unspoilt and peaceful country with a unique culture and colourful people. What a winning mix! Samoa presently is very committed to developing tourism especially in the area of resorts and big hotels.
Ideal for an exclusive & quiet hideaway for those who will pay for their privacy. Or a resort for all. Just think, your accommodation, your swimming pools, anything you build can have ocean views! All the elements are right here. Perfect property, perfect country!
Enough land too for some moulding & landscaping to create a challenging golf course to lure those golfing tourists.
The coastal, scenic drive from airport to Falelatai, where our property is located, is very pretty. You can see Savai’i, Apolima and Manono. The village itself is picturesque & clean. The property lies just on the edge of Falelatai, with elevation, so you are looking down at the main village,
THE BEACH, your own bay with 2 natural coves! A cute small one and a much bigger one. Sheltered, secluded & very private. The topography ensures that only guests will have access to the beach. Beach frontage stretches over ½ mile, beautiful white sand.
Backdrop of coconut palms and bush on flat land before elevation of property. Much more sand can be exposed when bushes cleared.
THE LAGOON, clear, clean, turquoise waters, well protected & safe for swimming, always warm and luxurious.
THE REEF, tropical sealife for keen snorklers to explore.
THE OCEAN, beyond the reef, an endless vision of emerald-blue, unpolluted and a vast arena for game fishing, diving or any water sports.
The delicacy “palolo” (island cavier) rises on this beach. Only happens one or two days in Oct and Nov yearly, 7 days after the full moon. The palolo has to be quickly gathered because as soon as the sun is up and hot, it all starts to melt away. Tourists can witness first hand this phenomenon, even participate.
THE LAND, has the highest elevations at the very back of the property. Helps to maintain security and privacy. Situated only about 280m from the main road.
Refer plan, a stream serves as part of the back boundary.
Elevation starts just behind the beach so all the main buildings would be on high ground, a real plus should there be storm surges.
Fresh-water stream flows out to the sea.
Property is extensive, covered with lush, virgin bush and forestry, sprinkled with coconut palms. One side gives lovely views of the ocean below and potentially Falelatai village, nestled peacefully on a plain with acres of coconut plantations.
Different levels and slopes can be landscaped to allow for unobstructed views.
Create a treasure of breath-taking ocean vistas.
Of course, there will always be those cool, exhilarating sea breezes!
IMAGINE waking every morning to spectacular views or in evenings gazing in awe at skies littered with stars sparkling like diamonds, as far as the eye can see.
What better therapy for stress? Idyllic, serene surroundings. A touch of heaven!
THE POTENTIAL HERE IS AWESOME!
Asking price: 6.5m USD
The bolded parts are interesting (at least to me). Looks like they already have fresh water access, potential for fishing, privacy, and an amazing view. They said this is one of ten filming locations, so I think it's either:
1, 2) tribal camp
2) challenge location
3) tribal council
4) Ponderosa
5) Exile
My guess would be tribal camps.
