So...how is everyone doing tonight?
AMAZING!!! I was THERE B!! I was in Boston for the day, finished a tasting at the Harpoon Brewery mozied on over to Fenway, figured I would try with my friend to see if there were any seats left and guess what? They had $12 bleacher seats left!! Our luck was awesome :) My feet were cold, but the game was amazing.
Papi homer! Burnett sucked. Bec******kket was great. Rain stopped. Franks were warm. What more can I ask for? :dance4:
Good stuff B!
I love Game 7's. Should be a good one especially b/c I generally dislike Detroit sports period. Sorry molds.
I'm watching your Tigers lead top 10th. I hope they win though b/c I hate the Sox more!
i love game 7's but HATE the penguins too much to enjoy this game 7! haha

Definitely a great game to see. I was however a little disappointed the A-ROID chants didn't pick up a little more steam. :devil2:
We were all indecisive on whether to stick with A-Roid, A-Fraud, Madonna or Steroids. I personally wanted the whole stadium to start singing "Man in the Mirror" instead of "Sweet Caroline" but I don't have nearly have enough pull to make that happen.
...and the season series now stands at Seven wins for the Sox, ZERO for the Yankees. :D
That almost makes me as happy as this photo...

But B, I was thinking more like this. This makes me happy:

Rarrrrrr.
How's this for chanting and taunting A-Roid Bacchus?

One more night, let's make it 8!

Yes [strike]we[/strike] they are.
When it comes to baseball I regress to 12 years old. I'll be honest and just get that out on the table. ;)
With that out of the way....I think the Yankees have there best chance tonight to break the streak. We are way over matched in the pitching department (your #1 vs our #5) and all streaks do eventually come to an end.
With two in the bank this series, I won't be too disappointed.

Ha! I revert to a 12 year old in hockey. Granted a foul-mouthed 12 year old, but still a 12 year old.
The game is getting good! Penny did well tonight and held his own scattering some hits. I wish we were still up, but I will take a late inning rally. C'mon Youk!
We keep on rolling!
Some weeks, it just feels like we deserve to win and will win no matter the situation. This is one of those weeks.
I love that Papi is showing life. That is HUGE for this squad and to have Lester and Beckett mowing down the competition gives me hope that this could yet again be the year.
I believe that firing on all cylinders, the Red Sox have the best pitching in baseball (as noted by having guys like Smoltz and Buchholz trying to fill a 5th spot currently held by a Penny who put up a goose egg his last outing while regularly hitting 98 on the gun.)
And what about Bard? That kid is going to be scary! 100, 99, 98 every pitch (unless he tosses that nasty breaking ball at 84 which makes guys knees buckle.) I can't wait to watch him develop and maybe get a few more MPH on that fastball (they say he hits 101 when the situation calls for it.) ;)
I hate rain delays....
Although they are not as bad when you are up 5-0 after an inning.

Hey, we appreciate the help. Think you can get us another half game in the standings today? I feel good about our chances of stretching that to a full game. :D
Crazy!
WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – An umpire has emptied the stands at a high school baseball game, ejecting the entire crowd of more than 100 fans for being unruly.
Umpire Don Briggs said he had no problem with any of the student athletes during Thursday's game between Winfield-Mount Union and West Burlington.
He said he had to take action because fans were being unruly, yelling and arguing.
However, West Burlington Superintendent James Sleister said he didn't see any unusual behavior and said he thought the umpire overreacted.
The game resumed after a 40-minute delay. West Burlington won 12-11.
The umpire called police as a precaution. West Burlington police officer Al Waterman says there were no arrests. He says he saw no unruliness himself.
Wow...there must have been nothing to discuss on the pregame show...
Florida is in town so they just can't shut up about Hanley Ramirez and the fact that the Sox traded him (for Beckett and Lowell.) The last 45 minutes straight have been "What if" scenarios. First of all, revisionist history is fantasy. Secondly, why are we even talking about this? We got Beckett, he went 5-0 in the playoffs and Lowell was world Series MVP as the Sox won their second title in 3 years. Wasn't that what we were trying to accomplish?
Moving on...
