4. I agree with other people's suggestions about publishing everybodies' times for each challenge so that we know who sucks and who is a close 2nd etc. and I did like Bacchus's idea about split teams, one gets the cool house and the losing team sleeps outside.
I remember they did this on the 1st episode of the Extreme Challenge The Real World team got to stay in the RV for the night(because they won the challenge) and the Road Rules team had to camp outside.
Or was it vice versa?
I did like Bacchus's idea about split teams, one gets the cool house and the losing team sleeps outside.
BMP tried this at the beginning of G3, but the Rookies rebelled, led by Tyler. They refused to live in a bunkhouse type place away from the main house, without air conditioning or even a single fan. Mexico + summer = misery and unequal conditions.
Something that I feel they need to do is show them interacting or doing something other than the challenges it seems that the do other things than drink such as work out and fight with each other. Yet the emotions i.e. Wes crying to Johanna after beating Derek and the blowups having been lacking except of CT. it feels like they are going through the motions and they need changes
Wes crying to Johanna after beating Derek? When did this happen? Have they even done a challenge together?
This was on the Duel I, and Wes was talking to Johanna over the phone. And they have done Fresh Meat together.

I was referring to Wes and Derek not Wes and Derrick but I already knew Johanna and Wes did Fresh Meat.

Oh. I didn't even notice the spelling error LOL. We really should start calling those 2 different names from now on, this is getting confusing.

You thought that was confusing watch BOTSeasons with 3 different Mikes.
MTV needs to redo the format of the challenges in a way that will make it harder for one alliance to control everything because it's making the shows boring. Our faves get kicked off early, and the same boring people who go on every show rule everything and no one else gets a chance to make it. Look at this challenge. It is so predictable who is going to go and when. I just feel bad for people like Jen or Derek (not saying they are next but it looks like it) who don't get much of a chance ONLY because they haven't done 50 million challenges like Brad, Mark, Evan, or Anessa.
Wow, you offer such insight. Care to elaborate?
He/She pretty much said what I wanted to say so I just quoted him/her and said "this".
More endurance missions! I'm tired of seeing all extremely physical missions.
Lifesavers made the challenges interesting too.
After reviewing what everybody wrote, it basically comes down to
Better Editing and a good variety of castmembers.
I loved the "turntables" mission where you sat down on a giant record table and had to hold onto a ball while the record spun REALLY fast. It was a very entertaining endurance mission that Veronica won (Veronica's amazing at endurance missions).

And two different Hollys!
I would love for there to be a nice focus on everyone meeting up again and getting to know each other (for those who are new to competing in a challenge) like there was in the past. We used to have more of an intro feel to challenges in the past. People we hadn't seen in a while would tell us what they were up to. I guess there seems to be less of a need for it when some of these people do challenge after challenge, but for those people who have other neat stuff happening in their lives, I'd like to hear about it on the show. Or for people who are new to the whole challenge experience, it would be nice for there to be a focus on them for a moment. If anyone has any issues with others previously, they can speak on that a bit. Rewatching the first episode of The Gauntlet made me notice how much I liked it and miss it.

What a strange coincidence, this is exactly what I was doing 5 minutes ago. I loved the editing. Its the really small, miniscule things that count, and make a Challenge seem more fun and enjoyable to watch. I know things such as confessional introductions are irrelevant and waste screentime, but I liked those and it made the challengers look human and not robotic and faceless. I kind of like to know what season they originate from, I mean it is the RW/RR Challenge after all. I mean honestly, we've seen Paula on what, 20 challenges now, and I don't know a damn thing about her outside of challenges (not that I care to find out, I'm just using her as an example). MJ is a good example of how a character should develop.
Also, endurance missions were such a good idea back then. People like Elka, Sarah Grayson, and Veronica could shock everyone and outlast their whole teams. Unlike in the Duel II, where eeeeverything is physical and height-based, the same people win over and over again. It gets b-o-r-i-n-g fast. Well, that's my rant and walk down memory lane.
I'm sorry but the dailies site is just another way of saying, "Us editors are too lazy to edit the episodes like were suppose to for television so we create a website where we put all our slack on to make it look like we’re doing a good job." The dailies is something interesting to watch when you’re BORED and have nothing to do, but a lot of that stuff on that site I think personally can be edited into the episode. Instead of having Evan after every other confessional, show those story lines and the other opinions of people we get to see on the dailies and not the show. And a lot of people that watch a show are not hardcore fans so there not going to take the time to go to a website and watch clips of a reality show that should have been edited into the episode in the first place.

This.
Oh and MORE NEW FORMATS! I don't want to see Another Gauntlet, Inferno, etc. I remember when the formats were new and exciting I mean they could take some of The Ideas we got in the Create your own challenge thread.

Yeah but if it was someone else's idea, technically, they could get in trouble. Can't you sue somebody for that?

Correct me If I'm wrong on this but I think that could happen only if it's copyrighted.
But Hey I guess they can rip-off some other reality show Like they did Survivor.
Maybe they do something similar to Big Brother and Call it THE HOUSE.
I don't know I'm just throwing stuff out there.
I know, and you don't have to be rude about it either. I'm not BMP.
What? I'm not being rude.
If my post came off as rude I'm sorry that wasn't my intention. I was just thrwoing stuff out there.

I agreed with the person that I quoted but I didn't feel like making a long respond to it so I just quoted him and said "this".

And the result was that perhaps only you knew what you were thinking. ;)
I think the best edited challenge season was The Gauntlet, I remember the episode when Coral beat Tina in the Gauntlet, they showed flashbacks of Mike and Coral together on Battle Of The Seasons after Mike had said "The Coral I saw in that Gauntlet was the Coral I remember competing with on Battle Of The Seasons." Also I remember on that same episode while Tina and Coral were in The Gauntlet, Coral was doing voice overs while noises were being made and the camera making special effects. Editors need to go back and look at old seasons themselves to get an idea of how they use to edit them because that really made the episodes good and fun to watch.

I agree. I get the feeling that the footage the producers got during The Gauntlet is no better than what they got during Inferno 3, the only difference is it's edited really well.
I also think the Gauntlet has the best music out of any season. There are a couple songs I downloaded only because I heard them on the Gauntlet.
One moment that sticks out to me is when Sarah is facing Irulan in the Gauntlet, and they are share some of Sarahs thoughts right before Irulan falls. That Gauntlet lasted about 45 minutes, and I'd guess the first 40 minutes were very boring. By putting some of Sarah's thoughts into the scene they took some boring footage and made it interesting.

J/P, Lol
Anyway yeah I liked that, I remember seeing the commercials for that episode even the commercials for the upcoming episodes were edited good I remember on Battle of The Sexes, the episode that had the Human Aquarium mission, the promos for that episode had Colin saying "Trip to Jamaica...So and So amount of dollars, Something else (I forgot) So and So amount of dollars...The judge telling Antoine nice *****...priceless..." like you don't see any of that anymore the editors has gotten so lazy I also hate how sometime the challenge and even Real World episodes look like a movie, If anyone knows what I'm talking about.
