I know people will be offended by this, however I know Syrus is an old dawg just like Mark, however Mark has always stayed in shape and has always been an alpha dog and I just can't see Syrus making it far in the game.

I agree with you 100% about Syrus and Veronica. I like Syrus don't get me wrong, but he is just too out of shape IMO to do this challenge

I think V will be a loner, because not to many like her I guess but I could see V talking to Diem or Ibis.

I hope there's drama between 2 certain people, going back and forth.
That creates great entertainment, because in each episode, you see it build and build.

Emily Vs. Veronica. You wondered who would be the one to get eliminated? The stuff they said about each other, going back and forth, was very entertaining.
Katie Vs. Veronica. That just built up to the point of the huge fight at the end of the Inferno 1.
Coral Vs. Julie.
Melissa Vs. Julie.
Coral Vs. Trishelle
When there are more people involved it gets kind of boring, but when it's just 2 people going back at it, it's very entertaining.
So far in the duel 2, there hasn't been much drama besides the CT and Adam thing.
I'm hoping "The Pit" will have the old school vibe where the drama just builds and builds.

I am unsure of the Wes/Durrell relationship now, but during FM, they were at odds, so I can see your point about them working together to get rid of Durrell and Veronica.
However, depending on the type of game - I think the fact that Durrell and Veronica may fare better than intially expected. [B][U]They are both wiley veterans, and if Durrell is in the shape he was back then, he will be a tough out.[/U][/B] Obviously people like Kenny, Johnny, Brad, or Evan wouldn't be willing to face him in an elimination round. I could see Wes going for him, but saving him until later. Derrick is the true wildcard. If it is a challengers vs champs gauntlet style, then Derrick will be a target if the champs lose challenges. Ditto for Veronica.
In my opinion, in a 1 on 1 elimination, I think Veronica could stand up to any of the females there, minus Evelyn. I see people like Susie, Katie, and Ibis standing behind an alliance with refusal to get their hands dirty. Ibis is expendable, and if she makes it past 4 challenges (1 week), I'd be impressed.
Veronica is no slouch. She is a much stronger and skillful version of Kina imo. Tonya may go for her, but depending on the game, I think V could actually take Tonya.
I think Veronica is pretty smart and will try to make alliances. I can see her trying to get in with some vets like Darell, Ibis and Syrus. She always played a social game, with certain girls and most of the guys. She was also athletic and won the lifeshield in the final challenges for the gauntlet and inferno, saving her from possible elimination.
I think she will last pretty long. I know she always kept up in good shape.
She isn't the queen of the challenges anymore, but lets see if she still has the intimidation factor in play.
You guys are underestimating Darrell he is the strongest male ever in this competition hence the amount of times he has won.CT is not the strongest.If you watch the inferno II you´ll see that Landon is stronger than CT,and Darrell is stronger than Landon since he beat him on the final challenge so he could win the life shield.I am sure Wes knows this plus Wes knows how to play the game he´ll never call out Darrell.He will probably just try and make the strongest guys go against each other.Evan is a stronger competitor than Wes that´s why Wes arrange for him an CT to go in a duel because he would have not being able to beat neither Evan nor CT.

O.....k....calm down.
Back in the day there was an intimidation factor that many felt about Veronica and others because they were power players. Even so it didn't always get her to the end or get her a win. Veronica can get to the end but she will have to play her cards right and play a good social game. Ultimately though greed might decide if she goes or not as some might see her as a threat to their chances at money.

I'm glad someone else sees this as well (and you too, Darock). Veronica is not stupid. I don't think it's going to be so easy for people to gun to get rid of her and it's done, just like that. She could be outnumbered and that will make things tough, but she does have a couple of people on this challenge she has been cool with as well. Wow, if there are some people plotting against Veronica when she hasn't even started the game or done anything wrong to some of them, I might find myself rooting for her again like I did on Battle of the Sexes. That was really the only challenge I remember wanting her to stay, because of what happened during B. Seasons and with Emily. Usually I like her for the drama, but once she does something shady, I am against her and wouldn't mind seeing her lose or leave.
Also, I think Tonya needs to be careful about who she trusts in this game. I think she could be a target as well. She rubs a lot of people on these shows the wrong way, or they find her annoying or crazy, and they like to get rid of her. Some of these people on this challenge were on The Island and they did not have her back in voting. I don't blame her at all for wanting to get rid of Veronica, after how nasty she was to her on I2. But I could really see some people just using Tonya for numbers on their side, then getting rid of her. Or a number of people just not liking her and wanting to get rid of her. I know her life has changed and all, but that didn't get her anywhere on The Island.

Something about this post frustrates me. I know a lot of us who don't know these people personally can only state our opinions which are based off of only what we see so I can see why you think Darrell is the strongest because he's won every challenge he has been on. But that doesn't mean he is 100% gonna win this challenge. He didn't go into an elimination round in his first 3 challenges. He didn't in I2 because when he got out of his hole he went to collect the crabs before helping other people while Landon helped some other people get out of their holes. He went into the Exile twice and he was lucky that Diem and Derrick packed so much stuff so the weight they had to carry was more, even though Derrick didn't feel like following the rules. Anyways, we don't know who the strongest is, until EVERYONE competes against each other.
I think Darrell is a good competitor, but I wouldn't consider him the most physically strong. Actually, I don't think you have to be a great competitor to make it to the end. Sometimes people have the right friends and connections to make it. Some people might not compete well in missions, but get really fierce in elimination rounds and manage to win. I believe Darrell can do well again, though, but I am nervous of him breaking his record. Preshow, though, he is one of the people I'm rooting for. I wonder if he and Derrick are still good friends. I'd love to see those two last to the end (and Brad and Syrus as well).
Syrus - he is definitely a capable competitor and has proved it. He did a good job during The Inferno. He is not weak. One of the best memories of Syrus for me is when people (on both teams) were doubting he could do well because he was the oldest RW guy (and Timmy was around his age, but they didn't factor that in for him!) and he didn't work out a lot, so he was voted in the inferno, then the times for the first mission were posted and he had beaten EVERYONE! He ends up winning the lifeshield in the next mission and avoids the inferno.
