Derrick is a wild card. While he might be looked at as being attached to the Johnny, Kenny, Evan (Johanna, Casey) alliance, he is very aware that in the ranking of those three guys he will always be number 4. He is going into the challenge open to other possibilities and having explored other options. Further, since no cast member knows the game design, the JKE alliance could find themselves opposing each other on day one of the challenge.
A larger social alliance could be Diem, Kim, Evelyn, Tonya, Shauvon, Brad, Katie, Derrick, Syrus with Johanna, Adam K., Nick, Susie, Ibis and Brianna attached. This is the group that simply wants to have fun on this challenge and not allow game drama to get in the way.

I know it is pointless to say, but I really like that part, although I could do without a couple of those people.
Derrick is my favorite challenge person and I really hope he does well but looking at the amount of competition, Evan, Darrell, Wes, etc. I really don't know how he'll do. Off topic, but does anyone know when his kid "Awesome" :rolleyes: is due?

I find it interesting that you did not mention Wes and Kellyanne in the social alliance with Evelyn... perhaps they would only be associated through Evelyn?
I would think, only based on past challenges since I haven't heard about their lives outside of them in a long time, that Veronica and Darrell would be in some sort of 'alliance'. Which would lead me to only wonder about Sarah, Chet, Cohutta, Danny, and Dunbar.... I get the impression Dunbar would not team with J/K/E... but I am not sure where he has any sort of ties on the other side either. And I wonder how if Cohutta would still have Kellyanne's back if she is with Wes... from his personality he probably would, but that could be uncomfortable. But from your assessment, I think that Johanna has the best social standing at this point, with ties to both sides.

There could always be a separate Wes/Kelly Anne/Evelyn alliance, but there is some info I can't share that tells me that there would be a monumental initial hurdle to that alliance. I'll write about it when the season airs.

I would love to hear how you think that socially the others would fit in- Veronica, Darrell, Sarah, Chet, Cohutta, and Dunbar. From the travesty RRVR, it seemed like Veronica was a little more 'settled' and less of a party girl, so I'm not sure where she would fit in with also being out of the game socially and some of these people having formed bonds with Rachel... Darrell was a chill kind of guy- hanging out, not a lot of drama... so I wonder how he would fit in as well, although he does have more recent ties due to FM. And the others I just struggle with placing in those groups as well...

I think those you named will largely be on their own or will become attached as throw-aways when an alliance needs to sacrifice someone.
