Just finished watching this episode, which I think was the best so far! Love me some Ruthie, she did so awesome on the ropes. I thought that that challenge was really awesome to watch. And it looked like alot of fun to do. I hope Ruthie goes far, but I can't figure out if she is in any alliance... Something that bothers me, and if I am being over-sensitive please say so... But it seems like they tried to get rid of the 2 homosexual guys as quickly as they could. The first 2 duels had Davis' hook up, I forget his name, and then this duel had Davis... This is the first RW/RR show I've seen in many years, so don't know if this is a trend or just in my head. It just seemed to me that the cast seemed to target those two for elimination for no really good reason other than being gay, that I could see anyways. I'm kinda glad Brooke left, she is such dead weight. I guess she just likes to do these shows just for the vacation and to hang out, but she would be terrible to align with in the game. You're only as strong as your weakest link, and sorry Brook, but you really have nothing to bring to these types of games. I snickered when she said she hates physical contact... But then again my mind is usually in the gutter.
What happened to the challenge text messages?
What happened to the challenge text messages?
Clearly they lost a sponsor, lol.
Well it would seem that they are trying to weed out the gay guys in the Duels but it comes down to the pecking order. Paula picking Dunbar over MJ in the second challenge meant that MJ was not picked up by anyone else and he chose Ryan to go into the duel. In this challenge Nehemiah asked Jenn to pick Paula instead of Brooke and of course she is going to choose her partner Dunbar. If Jenn had chosen Davis he would have picked Brooke and then Paula and Dunbar would have gone into the Duel. So I don't think that they are targeting Davis and Ryan it just so happens that the elimination order determines who gets left at the end. Of course whoever ends up last can pick anyone so we'll never know if they were trying to get rid of Ryan and Davis first.
What happened to the challenge text messages?
I completely forgot about those! lol
What happened to the challenge text messages?
Yes, those were sponsor-driven, and the cast thought they were really stupid. The only redeeming feature was that the cast could actually use the phone to call out from the challenge location.

It could be something coincidental, or maybe even subconscious... Speaking of sponsors, those portable radio thingies look pretty cheesy. And who needs their car to be wifi hot spots??? The prizes this week were not all that great. Course the 100 large ain't so bad!
And who needs their car to be wifi hot spots??? The prizes this week were not all that great. Course the 100 large ain't so bad!
Some of those prizes are great though, Brad won a bad *** bike! Who was the chick that won that mission with him? Plus if they did not want it, they could sell it for cash :)
Some of those prizes are great though, Brad won a bad *** bike! Who was the chick that won that mission with him? Plus if they did not want it, they could sell it for cash :)
It sucks paying taxes on prizes you don't want or can't unload on Ebay or Craigslist. The cast members must pay tax on the full value of the item, not the discounted amount they get from reselling.
Some of those prizes are great though, Brad won a bad *** bike! Who was the chick that one that mission with him?
Brad won a bike when he won the roller derby mission early on (Jodi was the female winner). Later in the game, Svetlana won a bike when she won that challenge with Wes as her partner.
No offense but the two gay guys are just the weakest, of course they are going to be a target. Davis is probably stronger than Nehemiah and Issac but the truth of the matter is that his partner is Brooke, and that basically made him weaker.

They were expendable parts. Evan probably thought because he was a power player that he wouldn't get called out. And it almost worked out for Davis. It's funny how they get so nervous about the picking order but in the end they can still get called in.
Which makes it pointless for them to be nervous.
I wouldn't say that. A few of them have said it's much easier to be called into the duel than to either make the last pick of who goes in or to choose someone to join you.
I wouldn't say that. A few of them have said it's much easier to be called into the duel than to either make the last pick of who goes in or to choose someone to join you.
Really? Are those on the Dailies? Because I don't remember anyone saying that on the episodes.
Brad won a bike when he won the roller derby mission early on (Jodi was the female winner). I bet they will give out some cool stuff this challenge, at least I hope so. The only prize I remember from the Island was Eveylyn's pizza. So they got some making up to do, but who knows what they had for sponsors. Even the text message people pulled out, so they had to get some new thing's in there.
T.J. said this season is the most expensive yet, so I think they would be giving out some expensive stuff. I hope Landon and Britt make out, even though its like a 9% chance because he has a girlfriend, but I still hope so! When someone was talking about hookups in the season trailer, the camera was pointing at Landon and Brit =]]! Next episode looks funny.=P
I wish Nehemiah would have picked Brooke over Paula instead of listening to Jenn (according to the dailies) however I wonder who Paula & Dunbar would have picked to go in The Duel with them?
I wish Nehemiah would have picked Brooke over Paula instead of listening to Jenn (according to the dailies) however I wonder who Paula & Dunbar would have picked to go in The Duel with them?
Paula would probably want to pick Brooke, Brittni or Kim...although probably not Kim since she beat Robin already, I think she would have picked Brooke just because Brittni is a bit bigger than Paula (at least I think she is) and Paula knows that Brooke is not that athletic. Dunbar would probably have either chosen Evan at Paula's urging or Davis thinking he would be easy to beat. I am just completely speculating btw.
In response to collegekid, I think Dunbar would have picked Davis and Paula would have taken Brooke. Picking Brooke is a no brainer, shes definately the weakest player, IMO. As for Dunbar, or any guy who has to go in the Duel, I think the guy to call in would be the big fat guy... The only game he could be good at would be the one where they have to knock eachother off the beam. Evan in that one, you could probably use his weight against him. Being that over weight usually messes with a person's center of gravity, especially if one is out of shape which he looks to be. This is no knock on the guy, just how I would strategize if I was in the game... Who do you guys think are the weakest duel players left?
Dunbar would have pick the guy that he thought was the weakest. If you guys watch the episode Dunbar is happy since he didn't get pick by Davis, Dunbar is weak.
Dunbar would have pick the guy that he thought was the weakest. If you guys watch the episode Dunbar is happy since he didn't get pick by Davis, Dunbar is weak.
Yours is an interesting observation that I've not heard from a single cast member.

I think Dunbar may be weak. He hasn't proved much, but just rides along with Evan or Kenny or Paula or someone else. I think he lacks the charisma to play the game smartly for himself.

Right...but to me he's just a follower, a lapdog...

All the "outcasts" need to take lessons from Wes.
Right...but to me he's just a follower, a lapdog...
Oh absolutely. He might look strong, but he has yet to physically prove himself.

Exactly. And he fell into the clutches of Paula. That's even more deplorable...
