I think this mission would actually make a better duel than it does a mission. Just two people involved, though, of course.
QuietOne, Mark is over 6'0" I think. Landon is like around 5'10." I don't think Mark is as tall as MJ, though (6'4"), so he is actually not that much taller than Landon overall. I think he was exaggerating there a bit, unless his height has been exaggerated (he doesn't look very tall but 5'10" or 5'11" sounds possible for him).
I don't know why someone would think Ruthie and Landon couldn't end up the winners.

I think it is because Dunbar isn't part of the alliance, and Evan knows she will pick him. So this kinda screws it up for other people either linked to the alliance or in it.
Who is left in Evan's alliance group to be picked but Paula? If there is no one left, what harm would it do him to pick Paula at this point? Everyone else would be safe, and that would be him making sure he had one more person to cover his back still.
