I recommend thinking outside the box...[/QUOTE] I imagine it would be a good idea, in addition to picking someone you have a chance against, to pick someone who you know for a fact will not give you a vote (or, to be more precise, vote for someone who might throw a vote your way) after the next competition. If you eliminate someone who might have been on your side, you're just all the more likely to go back in next time if you win.

Okay I'm gonna talk about the rest of the episode. Everyone looked bad in the whole Ct/Diem/Adam/Shauvon thing I'm gonna leave it at that. In my opinion Shauvon should've picked Katie or Brooke. Neither of them are that good as a competitors so It would've been an easy win. The Opening was diffrent and funny to. Was Mark Dressed a Bret Micheals? Oh and Finally we get some gay sex on the challenges <333333333 One more thing: The second part of the Challenge was confusing as hell.

Did anybody see the soup last night? They were making fun of the Duel. BTW, Did anyone else catch that smirk on Dunbar's face when CT said "I will smash his head and eat it" ?

I thought that this episode was a great start to this season. It looks like we're in store for alot of good things. People seem to have alot of different opinions on the opening. I liked it, and thought it was kind of funny, different than what they usually do. Evan seemed a little over the top compared to everyone else though.. The challenge in this episode was a little confusing. I didn't really understand what was supposed to happen in the second phase of it until I watched a re-run of the episode. Nick hurting his hand was unfortunate :( but I guess things happen. I pretty much knew what was coming when he told Ryan and Davis about it, and then Ryan was the last one picked. I wish he could have been around longer, but I hope that he'll be back again. I don't think it's going to be much of a surprise who wins between Shavoun and Aneesa. I didn't watch Sydney but Shavoun just doesn't strike me as the athletic type. Although, she apparently thinks that she's the 'new Wes'. Nice opening to the season, like what they did with the Chris and Adam madness, hyping it up before the opening credits. Those kids got to NZ and got to partying. [B]GREAT[/B] season up ahead.

To be honest, I don't really mind Shauvon. Sure she is very... [********] sometimes but she makes great drama. I actually would like to see her on another challenge. But just as long as she doesn't do tons of them like Paula. And where are Trisha, Brianna, Sarah(Hollywood), and Parisa?

I totally agree with Blanky regarding Brianna doing a challenge in the future. She is a tough girl who doesn't back down from confrontation. She also seems to be straight forward and not a gossip, it would be fun to see how she would interact in a Challenge scenario. Plus I think she is very attractive. :-) Did anyone think of Scrubs when all the guys were in onesies? I could just see Zach Braff watching and saying "I have started a revolution in night wear!" It made me laugh watching all guys running around like that. hehehe As for the whole CT fight thing, my take is that even though CT says he is over Diem, deep down he still had feelings for her. Hooking up with another girl "in front of" Diem is a sort of passive aggressive way to get her attention, which he clearly did. IMO

IMO[/QUOTE] How do you account for all the other women between their breakup and the taping of Duel 2? Was each one a passive/aggressive demonstration? In any event, Diem has moved on and is dating a very nice guy. This is all such history it is just silly.

Hey I'm new to the forums, I was browsing Google trying to find new info on the duel and stumbled across this ;D. I'm a huuuge challenge fan! I've been obsessively watching since fresh meat, though I saw some earlier seasons too. So far this season looks awesome! I'm a huge fan of I hope he does well. Why do so many people on here not like him? Just wondering. (:

Hello sarasummer. Welcome! My issues with Evan have to do with Gauntlet 3. He was a super jerk, IMO, with the stuff he kept sprouting off about the women. Also, he seemed to sell out his friends or alliance partners. I don't find him very funny or appealing overall. Most of the other Fresh Meat people and RW people on the Vet team from that challenge I found to be very obnoxious and annoying. The ones I did like on that team had obnoxious and annoying points in the past as well, but I have found them likeable or favorable at many other times in the past. You are what I would consider a new school challenge watcher since FM was your first challenge, and people like Evan and Kenny and Ev got pushed in the spotlight a lot since that challenge, so those were the people you started out with and are most used to - they are among the most "noteable" of the latest batch of challenge people.

I actually thought Evan was OK on Fresh Meat. It's not necessarily uncommon for me (or I think some viewers in general) to go up and down in my liking of a castmate. John from RW Key West was one of my favorite recent RWers, and then I saw and heard about how much of a jerk he was being on The Island. I was so disappointed in him and I don't see him in the same light as I used to right now. Paula - I would prefer she go back to being like she was on Inferno 3 as compared to now. Watching the first episode, it felt like she was trying too hard to be the sexed up party girl who is down with the boys and running things. Maybe that's really her, but it seems like those elements of her are taking over too much. She wouldn't be the only person to play up an image or the image of themselves that comes from their season's editing, but right now she is someone who is very noticeable with it, IMO.

I thought Evan was great on FM, and I really liked Johnny in his first challenge as well. I don't see Johnny in the same light now, and I never really liked Kenny's arrogance. I'm still on the fence with Evan...we'll see how he performs on this challenge.

(:[/quote] Welcome to vevmo! I'm an Evan fan although I did have some issues with him during G3. I have been watching since Battle of the Sexes 1 but I have seen some of the earlies ones.

Okay, whats with everyone calling Isaac blackface? That just sounds really offensive.

I didn't like the fact he had all that make up on his face to look black. That wasn't funny or morally right to me

Al Jolson did an amazing job in [I]The Jazz Singer[/I]. It's an actual term for white performers who would color their face black and pretend to be African American.

I know I'm a little late posting so let me catch up: I am completely on Team CT in regards to the fight. Adam has always been a little weasel (as G3 proved all too well) and Diem plays the victim card way too much. It was none of her business what he did - especially after she broke his heart. The opening thing - is absolutely ridiculous. Its worse than the Inferno theme that had Timmy running like a cheetah or something. It's not funny at all, just cheesy and stupid IMO. Evan - BMP why have you done this to me?? Evan is the only character I despise more than Johnny. He is loud, obnoxious, and shady - I would rather have both Johnny and Kenny back then have him on the show - if that tells you anything. Shauvon - obviously she doesn't know Anessa because that girl is psycho - what a dumb move. Ryan - very shady in picking Nick to go into the Duel after he specifically told him he preferred not to go in at that time due to his wrist. I've never liked Ryan - Davis can do so much better (like me!!!) Katie - I'm pissed off that she sold CT out like that. Robin and Paula - I hope they win this challenge so I won't see them on the next one! Geez how many have they done in a row now??? Although Robin looks damn good with her new slender bod. Those are the only ones that made an impression with me. I'm a little surprised that so many of them are talking alliances at this early stage of the game - isn't it a bit premature?? Anyways this looks like it is going to be a good challenge - then again the first Duel was too so I'm not surprised. Anything is better than The Island!

When I have a personal opinion, I label it that way. My personal opinion of CT away from this season is based upon my representation of someone in the past who has had more than one unpleasant encounter with him. Bottom line, I'm not anti-CT. I'm pro cast and crew member safety. The five year thing was Diem's allusion to the fact she wants to establish an independent career for herself, something she said was not of interest to CT. She made a life choice and moved on. I understand, though, from the edit of the episode and theAaftershow why one could hold the view you stated and I respect it -- before other relevant facts are applied.

Personally I think it was right of Katie to tell Diem because I think she needed to be told. Yeah they aren't together but there is alot of factors involve with it. Plus CT does have issues and I wish him the best in hopefully coming to a peace soon.

Dear Shauvon:I am so glad that 5 minutes into episode 2 you will be gone 4ever. Even though Diem-CT were broken up, it still always sucks to see your ex hook-up right under your nose..nice scruples *****, then you make a feable attempt to deny it(you are on a tv show-duh), then compound that lie by trying to claim you didn't know about CT and Diem as a couple (right after saying you've partied and hung out with CT. Of course if your first lie was true then there should be no reason to even state the 2nd lie. But since you are the spineless fool who obeyed your ex-boyfriend's insecure wishes that you give up the opportunity of a lifetime and LEAVE RW Sydney 1/2 way thru, then obviously your judgement and character stink. (Given up for a relationship that didn't even last til the Sydney reunion...OOPS!)

IIRC, during RW Paris, CT and Adam got into a shoving match. Well, it was more of CT doing the shoving, but you get the point. If I'm remembering it correctly, CT also seemed pretty irrational during that confrontation as well.
