Yeah I don't care what anyone says about the accent either....I dig it :)
What kind of accent? I've heard people talking about it on other sites, but when I listen to him speak no specific accent comes to mind.
He is from NH (yay 603!) and has a slight Boston accent, which some people do who live so close to the MA/NH border.

*hearts East coast accents* even slight ones...
*hearts East coast accents* even slight ones...
Do you like CT's accent?
There are perhaps variations in accents in the Northeast as there are in the south. To my ear, there is almost no similarity between an NH or VT accept and that of a Boston "Southie" accent.

Most people outside of NE can't tell the difference, so Scotts accent would sound like a generic Boston accent. To us New Englanders though, you can pretty much tell where someone is from by their variation. Whether it be RI, NH, VT, or any of the small sections of Boston which all have their different accents like Woburn, Revere, Lynn, Methuen/Lawrence (where CT is from), or Southie :) Scott has an accent like any Southern New Hampshire-ite, kind of a copy of the Methuen accent. Anywhere north of Manchester, NH acctually have more French-Canadian accents since that is where most of their relatives came from. [ end NE accent lesson ;) ]

When I was in high school, I asked my driver's ed teacher if she was from Boston. It turns out she was from Vermont. You're right about variations in the south, too. Living in Virginia I can tell if you're from North Carolina or Alabama. To my Philadelphia relatives, everyone down south sounds the same.
I used to work in a hotel and I would always try to "guess the accent" if the guest seemed like they would be cool with it and I never got any of the northerners right...I almost always got the southern accents right though. I laugh at myself because the majority of the times I don't talk with a southern accent (or so I was told by many of the guests) unless I am talking to someone else who has one, then I end up mimicking theirs. There are a few words that I know I say funny though, LOL.

And there IS a difference between accents from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota :D

Growing up and spending time all around New England I can say from personal experience that the accent can range from one side of a river to another as much as it might in parts of Old England. There has been less time in the Western US for these type of distinct local dialects to develop. One thing that gets me is in that article they clump Eastern New England as one group, but I can tell the difference between someone from Bar Harbor, Maine and Quincy, Mass in about half a second flat. Very different sounding to a keen ear. Well, we all know Wikipedia has accuracy and depth issues. I'd start a new section, but don't have the strength to get into an edit war today...
I know being from Michigan I can distinguish all the Midwestern accents. And there IS a difference between accents from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconson, and Minnesota :D
I'm from Michigan too! The easiest one for me to distinguish from the Midwest is Minnesota, and people from eastern and southern Ohio have pretty distinctive accents as well. When I first moved out to California, people detected an accent of some sort, although I never noticed I had one. I totally pick up on other people's accents too. One of my good friends from Ohio has a bit of an accent and I always started talking like her if we were around each other for long periods of time :)

When I get foreign guests, I try to guess where they're from by looking at their names. I met a guest from Laos recently, but the name looked Vietnamese to me, so I asked if she was from Vietnam. The guest laughed and said it was a nice try. She said most people think she's Chinese. To avoid this from getting too off topic, I have to add that I wish Scott would do **** since he's interested in "modeling."

I heard he's a big star among the gay websites...especially the picture with his *** out!
I'm not surprised a bod such as his is appreciated by both sexes. ;)
as it very well should be...he be up in the gym just working on his fitness. LOL

I know there are plenty of straight guys out there that take male enhancement drugs and do gay ****, but I don't see Scott doing that. Scott would have to be really Altonesque down there in order to qualify for straight **** since straight **** is really about what the women look like and all the men need are the proper tools.

FYI: Just heard Scott on Kiss108 FM in Boston. He and Baya will be at the dance4life benefit at Shepard Auditorium at Pinkerton Academy, Derry, New Hampshire on Febuary 22, 2009. Among the auction items will be a chance to bid on having lunch with Baya and Scott.
cool. I like Scott. It must be because I am a fellow New Englander, but I like how he dropped "bureau" last night. I don't think that is a common word outside of this region. I love hearing his accent & wish he would mention some stuff about home... The Sox, more regional words or slang, anything!
