I wouldn't say it's .... "judgment" - judgment is such an ugly word. lol. I, personally, never said they were plain. I think that you have to be a ********* to be on this show. I tried out, I'm one of them. Just judging from the questions used to pick cast members, I thought they were going way left on the housemates. I say, bring on the wal-mart workers! It's all in good banter. I'm just as curious to see what everyone brings to the table.
Maybe it will be the most shocking season ever. Maybe it will bring life back to Real World and replace some of the other guilty pleasures that have taken over the forefront as of late. Also, I don't know about other ladies but I never found man *** to be enticing.... Man crack.... *shivers*
Urban Dictionary -- *********: A person that prostitutes himself or herself on a media outlet, preferably a reality TV show, in the hopes of sustaining an ample amount of their 15 minutes
OK, if that is what you think, but I'm old-school (or just old) and find that exocentric compound word (*********) just a little offensive.
Having worked in and around all aspects of the business (i.e., news and entertainment, both scripted and "reality"), I've never really seen much difference at the motivational level for why people want to be on camera. Every casting sheet that I've used told me exactly the character the producers were seeking. Given that this season's guidance was to find X strangers who were involved in organizations or causes and whose outgoing personalities would both clash and yet fit together in some noteable homogeneity, the tone of the interview you experienced in not unusual. (The general guidance is "No more Lacey's -- she's a wonderful person, but simply not good, sustainable television).

I guess I just don't like the fact that people who are trying to become famous or get their name out there are being cast on The Real World. I want to see people who have aspirations for professions outside of television. But then who would watch that... so I don't know. I go back and forth on this. Anyway, regardless the model on the show, I'm am actually anxious to see how Kate's story unfolds.

You have a point. "*********" may be too strong. And, here I was, thinking this season was all "special", chock full of verbose intellectuals... *hangs head, shuffles foot* lol. It's so complex. Everything they seemed to be looking for didn't really weigh heavily on casting decisions. But, I say that without knowing enough about each individual. You can but should never judge a book by it's cover. We have pageant queens, queens, models.... all sorts of characters that seem to be easily identified by their previous occupations or lifestyles but maybe there's going to be some really heavy situations combated with strong views/opinions. Am I overshooting? Maaaaaybe. I am rambling. So I'll stop now. Really, or it'll get out of control.

Well, in fairness, show me a pageant queen who does not have a link with some special cause or charity, and I'll show you a pageant loser. Full disclosure time, I also coach people who appear in pageants, most recently the runner-up for for Miss Teen DC.
Just so you all know, Scott is not gay!
He's an amazing guy. I know him from back home. He's a great guy who has worked his *** off for everything he has! He comes from a great family with great values! Just to clear up the gay rumor, so take it for what it's worth. I'm not going to get involved with drama concerning his life because its not my place, but it important to me to protect people I know from awful rumors. Enjoy the show.
We were aware of that, although I think the comments that you are referring to were more so stating that some of his modeling pictures had an alternative appeal and not that he was gay.
apparently being gay and being an amazing person are mutually exclusive traits.
I was reading that and thinking the same thing.
Oh, I didn't mean it like that at all. I'm very sorry for coming off like that. I have some gay friends and they are amazing people as well. Honestly, I am very sorry if it came off as an insult it was not intended that way at all. I was just trying to state that he is a great guy and also state that to my knowing he is straight, not that it matters in any way, shape or form.
apparently being gay and being an amazing person are mutually exclusive traits.
I didn't read it that way at all. I'm not sure you are being fair.
I didn't read it that way at all. I'm not sure you are being fair.
I read it that way. "Great family guy" vs. "awful rumors" seemed like a pretty clearly implied (false)dichotomy to me. But, regardless of how it came off, FrutCake17 has apologized and apparently didn't mean to imply that being gay is a negative quality, so I for one don't mind leaving it at that.
Sooo with that said.... welcome, Frutcake17. Thanks for taking the time to post! :)
Oh God... I really didn't mean for it to sound like that. I was actually at work when I posted that and I think if I would have read it back to myself, I would have reworded it. Again, I truly am apologetic. I, for one, am very anxious for the season to air. I'm such an MTV reality junky! RR has always been my fav... its going to be strange seeing some one I know, though. I remember when Danny from MA was on the Houston, TX one and I knew so many people who knew him... I always though how cool would it be to know some one on TC. Ha, well I guess we will see how it goes. Watch .. all the nice things I say and you never know, he could be the most loved or most hated guy on the show! There is always a villain!
Really didn't need to see this B lol
Well, he put the link in his facebook status and I am an equal opportunity ****, although I personally think I saw a little more Scott (and friends) than I might have wanted too.
Still, I am sure someone is enjoying it! ;)
lol at the tags and the ***** shot in the video before opening it.
Ya, the still chosen for the video could have been a bit more demure...
Hi Everyone,
This is kinda strange but I had to just set the record straight he is not gay. The pictures are just modeling and everyone puts their own spin on it to fit their needs and that's fine.
He has moved to NY and is living with 2 other cast members to help move his career along and all these pictures were taken before he had got chosen for real world.
The show is NOT helping him in anyway with promotions for his career. His dad told me that MTV said he was on his own with that and they wouldn't promote his career.
Scott if you are reading this best of luck you are on your way!!

Thanks for clearing the air, but I never got the impression that he was gay. I don't know if that was the general consensus of everyone else, but regardless thanks for setting it straight.

Definitely not gay, but I'm sure there is a gay guy or two harboring a fantasy. It happens in the modeling business.
MTV really does not help anyone with their career. It's never been in their budget. They will exploit the cast if it serves their purpose, though (Svetlana's 21 Birthday). It just business. There are a few people in the reality community who have or are still modeling. I'm sure they would be happy to offer Scott advice.
Is Scott and Baya dating? Scott whispered "I love you" to her

Haha - yes, I don't allow people to execute miscellaneous code on vevmo because if it was me I'd take over the site, lol.
