Real World Brooklyn: Ep. 1 - Discussion

I overall, fully enjoyed the first episode. I feel there is something so different and fresh about this season. It was nice. My take on the cast: Baya seems very cute and sweet and I definitely liked her. Sarah might be my favorite this season. I think she is so different and corky and I am keeping my eye on her for the drama. Katelynn, welcome to Vevmo, also seems really cool and I like her a lot too. Devyn, now I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but there was something off about her, but I think she is also cool. Scott seems like a really nice guy, but I have a feeling that it will change. JD seemed really cool the first episode. I liked him better than the rest. Chet and Ryan. I am going to wait another episode to really say how I feel...but i do not like them.

And I'm not one of those people that ,,, over every real world premiere. This was the first time in awhile that I was reminded of the earlier seasons. Very good stuff.

I'd like to start off by thanking all of those who have kept an open mind for this season of the show. I think if people are as open as some of us tried to be throughout this experience perhaps they too can walk away from this season feeling as though they too have gained something of value from watching..perhaps even a lesson learned. Can I just say that I have been reverse stalking on this site since before casting for 21 was even finished and you guys are amazingly accurate (some of the time..) very impressive! Thank you to Saywhat for setting the record straight. V1man your diplomacy has been greatly appreciated. Colie's Mom I've heard a lot of nice things about you. K8.. well you already know how I feel.

Bacchus on the other hand..lol So I don't know if Kate told you but we have some party plans coming up that you def should watch out for. And yes it has been extremely hard to keep quiet.. especially since I have been reading since last year! I will say that I am glad that I waited. ps. I wanted to give you a shout out for being true to yourself, and for allowing people to see your life and some of the struggles Transgendered people endure. I think that it will be a good thing, and hopefully it will open people's eyes to see how truly difficult it is sometimes to endure the burden, or blessing that this way of life can bring. MTF means Male to Female, which i***actly as it states. The person's birth *** and actual gender do not match, therefore they transition to their correct gender of female. The process for SRS (***ual Reassignment Surgery) is a long, drawnout procedure consisting of years of therapy, hormones, multiple surgeries and the like. However, keep in mind that everyone is different, and not everyone chooses to undergo SRS at all, or some just have minor surgery, go on hormones. Or some people choose to identify as transgender and do not have the desire to transition at all. To each their own. I was a little late on watching the premiere episode, but just wanted to throw in my 2¢ and echo the general sentiment that it was a very interesting hour of television. I appreciate that they seem to be changing directions away from the drunken escapades and assembling some more captivating storylines. I also like the fact that it looks like the stories are going to take the length of the season to play out as opposed to some of the other recent seasons that had an issue introduced and resolved all within a 20 minute episode which left the viewer without much perspective. I still bear in mind that its an edited episode but I think this new format will allow us to "know" the cast a bit better.
