Real World: MVP's
So Entertainment Weekly made a list and named the MVP for each season of the Real World: Real World New York: Eric Nies "The most ab-ilicious of the original seven strangers, model Eric may have parlayed his post-Real World celebrity -- and taut torso -- into hosting gigs on MTV (see: The Grind), but we'll always remember the Jersey boy for his sweet flirtation with country bumpkin Julie." Real World Los Angeles: Jon Brennan "Goody-two shoes doesn't begin to describe the non-drinking, non-***-having country crooner from Kentucky. Keeping your morals in a RW crib is something few have managed to do, and we give Jon props for his unusual resolve." Real World San Francisco: Perdo Zamora "Snot-spewing bike messenger Puck may have made the most noise, but it was HIV-positive Pedro who left a lasting impression. The AIDS educator, who became a symbol of the growing epidemic, died at the age of 22 -- one day after the final episode aired." Real World London: Jacinda Barrett "Fresh-faced Aussie model Jacinda had us fooled -- but not for long. Potty training hijinks with petulant puppy Legend and a naked jaunt down the streets of jolly ol' England, let us know this lady had a knack for drama -- long before she became the only RW veteran to build any kind of real acting career." Real World Miami: Melissa Padron "Oh, Melissa. Whether by accident or by design (we're leaning toward the latter), the feisty Latina always found herself in the middle of a Miami dustup. From opening an important letter addressed to Dan to playing third wheel in a risqué shower romp, Melissa knew how to instigate a RW-worthy ruckus." Real World Boston: Montana McGlynn "Let's be honest: the Boston cast was a smidge...dull. Yeah, we dug sweet Sean and eccentric Genesis, but Susan Sarandon look-alike Montana is the one we'd like to get a glass of white wine with and discuss post-modern feminism." Real World Seattle: Irene McGee "Sure she's the obvious choice, but how could we pick anyone other than Irene? This curly-topped Lyme disease sufferer was at the receiving end of the RW's most infamous ***** slap. Not to mention her poor stuffed puppy is now sleeping with the fishies!" Real World Hawaii: Ruthie Alcaide "The record for quickest RW meltdown has got to go to Hawaii's resident boozer Ruthie. Within minutes of arriving at the Honolulu beach house, the Filipina got nekkid, skinny dipped with new roommate Teck, and lost consciousness after a drinking binge. Yay for first impressions!" Real World New Orleans: Danny Roberts "A gaggle of googly-eyed gals was left heartbroken after Southern boy Danny revealed his big ''secret.'' Yep, he's gay. But that didn't stop us from picturing ourselves in that steamy hot tub with the New Orleans cutie." Real World Back to New York: Coral Smith/ Mike Mizanin "Mike and Coral ended up one of Real World's oddest couples. While Coral still may not wrestle (she instead ''**** beats b---ches up'') Mike took his RW alter ego ''The Miz'' to the ring and now delivers WWE Smackdowns instead of annoying roommates." Real World Chicago: Tonya Cooley "Small town Tonya perfected the role of the ignorant blonde who opens her mind. We watched as she passed kidney stones and hooked up on challenges, but this reality TV star will always be remembered for dabbling in Cinemax soft-core ****." Real World Las Vegas: Trishelle Cannatella "You can't really blame this season's cast for drinking and having *** all the time. Good for us but too bad for Trishelle: What happened in Vegas (three-way Jacuzzi makeout sessions, blackouts, pregnancy scares) was shown on national television." Real World Paris: CT Tamburello "With a beefy build and a temper to go with it, C.T. introduced true Mass-hole style to gay Paree and subsequent Real World/Road Rules challenges. Always the first to rip off his shirt and start a fight, C.T. stirs up the kind of drama that makes you glad you're not dating him." Real World San Diego: Robin Hibbard "From tending bar at Coyote Ugly to spending a televised night in drunk lockdown to future Real World/Road Rules challenge winner -- Robin's life is a fairytale that only reality TV could write. And make better by adding a handful of MTV-cast relationships." Real World Philadelphia: Willie Hernandez "Philly had a tame cast, but housemate Willie actually brought something to the table besides the usual ho-hum family history of alcoholism, life-threatening illness, etc. -- he was a regular in the kids' series Ghostwriter!" Real World Austin: Wes Bergmann "Wes is ''that guy.'' Short of smashing beer cans on his head and talking about his glory days playing high school football, he's the jock you love to hate. And regret sleeping with -- just ask former fiancée and roommate Johanna." Real World Key West: Johnny Devenanzio "Johnny Bananas was reality TV's perfect party boy, helping us all relive playground flirting tactics. We watched him get drunk and hit on Svetlana. Get drunk and make Paula cry. Get drunk and make Janelle mad..." Real World Denver: Brooke LaBarbera "All that was missing from this roomie's tantrums was head spinning and projectile vomit. She may have been kicked off the Gauntlet after a ******** tryst with Ev, but we envision her return on VH1's inevitable Celebrity Anger Management in the future." Real World Sydney: Isaac Stout "You have to love a roommate that comes to the house equipped with costumes, Barbie dolls, and a case of acid flashbacks. Although legitimately nuts, Isaac was somehow the sanest roommate in Sydney." Real World Hollywood: Brianna Taylor "With just the right amount of baggage (former exotic dancer) and clips of her beating someone up and saying ''oh, no you didn't!'' on the trailer for Season 20, Brianna already has our vote for MVP of the Hollywood cast." I enjoyed the list and thought overall it was pretty accurate. Season 1 definitely should have been Julie. I think I enjoyed her the most and she made the biggest impact. Season 2 should have been Beth or Tami. They also made the season entertaining. Season 4 should be Sharon. Maybe that is just because she is the only reason I enjoy that season remotely. I love Sharon. Season 5 I thought Flora was the best to watch, but Melissa is agreeable. Season 9 should have been Julie or Melissa. They definitely made that season, but the season was good so I have no complaints. Season 13 should have been leah, but CT is reasonable. Season 16 should be Wes, but I would much rather prefer Johanna. Season 17 should be Paula without a doubt. She was the most entertaining. Personally, any 3 of the Key West girls could have taken this. Season 19 could have been Parisa, because she rocks, but Isaac is cool.
Looking at their list you would think that they never watched the show, only the highlight reels or something. They are way off on 90% of these picks, although I guess it can be argued that it comes down to personal preference. Jon from LA the MVP? No so much...
Looking at their list you would think that they never watched the show, only the highlight reels or something. They are way off on 90% of these picks, although I guess it can be argued that it comes down to personal preference. Jon from LA the MVP? No so much...
I agree, but just an added thought... Individuals are certainly entitled to personal preference, but Entertainment Weekly gets no pass from me. What were there standards of measurement? What evidence/information/data did they consider in making their selections? Did MTV PR have a hand in guiding their picks? Overall, I'm thinking they did much worse in their selections than would an individual very knowledgeable about the show. Of course, to compare picks, one much have a standard of measurement. The media companies never offer any criteria because we could then pick them apart. Intuitively, we already know that their criteria must suck when they give us Jon - LA, Montana- Boston, CT - Paris, Robin - San Diego, Willie - Philadelphia. I must have watched different shows -- or did anyone from Entertainment Weekly actually watch them? I have my doubts.
Parisa and Issac are definitely MVPs(because together they form Voltron....I mean they are both awesome). Some of the list does highlight some good ones but they seem to forget others who made the season much more enjoyable.
The most recent EW said this? I read it every week and didn't see it in there at all.

I could see why one would choose Syrus, Kameelah, or Genesis over her, but Montana is not a bad choice. Personally, Leah was much more entertaining than CT on Paris. She was the only reason Paris was a good season. Robin also isn't a bad chocie, but Brad us the better choice, and so is Frankie for me. They both were more entertaining than Robin. Willie is an insane choice. Karamo, Landon, Sarah, and Melanie were all better choices than Willie. He did absolutely nothing for me on that show. Also Jon should not have been picked for LA. HE did nothing, but sit and watch t.v. Beth and Tami were great for causing drama. I will never forget the bed scene and the fight that occured afterwards.
Ha ha I thought Willie was a random choice as well. I mean, because he was on Ghostwriter?! If anyone from that season Sarah or Landon or MJ. And I really liked Leah from Paris too, but CT definately took the cake for that season. (If MVP means most loud, rude, and unstable.)
Same here. But Karamo and Melanie were also good on the season, but Sarah for me was the MVP. Leah was the only one enjoyable, while dramatic. She was great. But if they are looking for overly rude people to be the MVP well then CT was the right choice. For me the MVP's are: Season 1- Julie or Kevin Season 2- Tami or Beth Season 3- Pedro Season 4- Jacinda or Sharon Season 5- Melissa or Flora Season 6- Syrus, Kameelah, Genesis, or Montana Season 7- Irene Season 8- Ruthie Season 9- Julie or Melissa Season 10- Coral or Mike Season 11- Tonya Season 12- Trishelle Season 13- Leah Season 14- Brad or Frankie Season 15- Sarah or Landon Season 16- Wes Season 17- Paula Season 18- Brooke Season 19- Parisa or Isaac Season 20- Anyone besides Will or Dave or Brittni

Oh well I say we make our own lists then and shove it to these guys who probably don't remember making this list or really care. Which D already did...mine will come later.

I already made one above that is way better than theirs. Well, in my opinion. I usually think the MVP is the one who made the biggest impact, most dramatic, and the one with a story to tell, and someone who significantly changed throughout the season. This list has 30% of it right. I am still trying to figure out how they came up with such a list.
Good call :D
Yeah I'm good at coming up with stuff that people have already thought of.
I agree.
Probably just like Bacchus said...
GW and Bacchus hit it right on. It is a mixture of personal preference and:
They pulled it out of their ***** and printed it probably, who knows I'm not one to judge maybe they saw something we didn't. They were on with Issac though. Love Issac and Parisa!
They so just made it up. And Parisa and Isaac were the two good things to come out of Sydney. I am trying to figure out how Robin is MVP of San Diego. BRad was much better and way cooler, and Frankie was different and had a disease. Robin got drunk and punched a guy.

Is there really a show called Celeberty Anger Management?
Is there really a show called Celeberty Anger Management?
I have heard rumblings about something like that, But I am not sure. It could be pretty entertaining though given the right celebrities.
Is there really a show called Celeberty Anger Management?
The quote is "VH1's inevitable Celebrity Anger Management ." I take EW's comment to imply a certain free approach within VH-1 toward celebrity trainwreck TV. It is a history they share with the E! network. I'm sure a show of a similar nature has been pitched to someone with Stephanie Kaiser as one of the show's anger management "counselors." Actually, VH-1 considered, but did not pick up, a pilot show that featured people with a history of relationship issues that included anger issues. The "coaches" included a shaman and other "alternative" advisers. Johnny Fairplay and Tonya Cooley were two a larger group cast in the pilot.
Yah well it needed to have Dunbar and Joey on there as well. Dunbar because he is just plain psychotic and Joey because...well I am sure everyone here saw Joey's lil episode.
I didn't read this post until right now. Haha. So funny. Joey's little episode was a little more crazy than Dunbar's veins combined haha. Anyone want to list who they think the MVP's are? Season 1: Julie Season 2: Beth Season 3: Pedro Season 4: Sharon Season 5: Flora Season 6: Genesis Season 7: Irene Season 8: Ruthie Season 9: Julie Season 10: Coral Season 11: Tonya Season 12: Trishelle Season 13: Leah Season 14: Frankie Season 15: Sarah Season 16: Johanna Season 17: Paula Season 18: Brooke Season 19: Parisa Season 20: Brianna I tried too base it off of their emotional growth and personal growth. Their story that was conveyed. If there was someone, though, who was to entertaining to pass up, than I chose them. Julie was so young, and she came out of the show much more mature than she did when she started. It was a growing experience for her. Beth was definitely the very original trouble maker. She was way more entertaining than Jon. Tami is still to me the most emotional on this season, but something about Beth made me choose her. Pedro had an amazing story that was shared with the masses. He was so controversial and he was an amazing teacher for some. Sharon was just about the only thing that saved that season for me. She was the only interesting one. She was the only emotional one as well. Her fasting for the day for the goat was amazing. It was either Flora or Melissa, but I got really bothered by Melissa's snobby attitude. They were both great though. Genesis was the most emotionally touching during her season. But Montana and Kameelah were both good cast members as well. But Genesis overhearing the child say that was really sad. Irene was very controversial. i mean the Seattle Slap was big. But she also had a disease so, it was a different experience. Ruthie just because of her serious alcohol problems. Julie and Melissa were the stars of the season, but Julie's problems with herr father, and getting kicked out of school helped herbecome the MVP. Coral may not have been the most emotionally unhealthy, but she was the most entertaining, in one of the best seasons of the RW. Tonya's instability stole the season. Her issues with the cast, her health, her relationship, and just about everything else. Aneesa is close behind though. I can't forget the cast singing about Tonya in the car. Trishelle's pregnancy scare was probably the funniest thing the whole season. I would much rather put Brynn or Arissa in front of her, but I think Trishelle was the most interesting. Leah was so freaking great. In a very boring season, she stood out amongst a rude CT, a boring and sweet Ace, a model in Mallory, and a boring Adam. Frankie had such an emotional time there. She had a deadly disease, had emotional problems, and cut herself. I would put Brad, but I think she had a bigger impact. Sarah had many problems that surface such as her eating problem, being raped as a child, and her mom having cancer. Melanie and Karamo were great choices, but Melanie wasn't around enough it seemed and Karamo was just dramatic. Sarah is the one person I really want to see on a Challenge. Johanna is the only part remotely good about Austin. Paula had so many issues. I mean she was a wreck. But she was much more enjoyable than Jose, Zach, and Johnny. Janelle was just fighting a lot so she wasn't as interesting. Svettie had a lot of problems, but she was much more spoiled than anything. Tyler was a great cast member. He was so evil, but Paula was better her season. Brooke single-handedly made Denver a good season. Jenn is the only other cast member I could find entertaining. Parisa is just amazing. She was the only nice, or sane person in that house. Isaac was too, but I feel Parisa went through more. Brianna was the best from day one. She had everyone talking about her, relationship problems, work problems, past drug problems, and she was still a great person. Sadly, HWSNBN, Sarah, Joey, and Kimberly were all great too though.

for me its like this: SEASON 1- Julie or Heather or all of the cast SEASON 2- Tami and Beth SEASON 3- Pedro and Rachel definitely SEASON 4- Jacinda and Sharon SEASON 5- Melissa, Flora and Dan SEASON 6- Genesis, Syrus, Kameelah and Montana SEASON 7- Lindsay, Irene and even tho I hate to say it, David and Stephen SEASON 8- Ruthie, Kaia, Teck SEASON 9- Melissa, Julie and Danny SEASON 10- Coral, Mike and Lori SEASON 11- Tonya and Aneesa SEASON 12- All of the cast surprisingly SEASON 13- Leah SEASON 14- All of the cast. SEASON 15- Willie and Shavonda SEASON 16- Johanna and Wes SEASON 17- Svetlana, Paula, Johnny and Tyler SEASON 18- Brooke! SEASON 19- Parisa, Issac and Cohutta SEASON 20- Brianna and Joey
for me its like this: SEASON 1- Julie or Heather or all of the cast SEASON 2- Tami and Beth SEASON 3- Pedro and Rachel definitely SEASON 4- Jacinda and Sharon SEASON 5- Melissa, Flora and Dan SEASON 6- Genesis, Syrus, Kameelah and Montana SEASON 7- Lindsay, Irene and even tho I hate to say it, David and Stephen SEASON 8- Ruthie, Kaia, Teck SEASON 9- Melissa, Julie and Danny SEASON 10- Coral, Mike and Lori SEASON 11- Tonya and Aneesa SEASON 12- All of the cast surprisingly SEASON 13- Leah SEASON 14- All of the cast. SEASON 19- Parisa, Issac and Cohutta SEASON 20- Brianna and Joey
For me Season 1 was a toss up, because I feel it was back when everybody contributed something to the show, but Julie was more entertaining. It was really hard to pick between Tami and Beth, but I had to go with the original trouble maker I guess. Pedro for sure, but Puck is also on my mind. Rachel was kinda boring though. Jacinda and Sharon was a hard choice, but Sharon's pure awesomenees saved her. Miami was probably the hardest season to pick between, but Flora took it. Melissa was great though. I just found Flora to be the original Mean Girl. Boston had so many memorable people, but Genesis encountered a lot more, so I went with her. Kaia was amazing, but nobody was even close to Ruthie on that season. Danny was good casting, but he was just normal hate to say it. Melissa and Julie were the MVP's. Lori is awesome! But Coral was the best on that season. Tonya and Aneesa. In my opinion, two of the best casting choices, EVER! Nothing comes close to Tonya's instability on this season. Las Vegas was such a bad season. Leah, is great drama. Only one interesting on Paris. San Diego, had only two choices in my eyes, Brad or Frankie. And Frankie was just more interesting to watch. Can you explain to me why WIllie was interesting? Or Shavonda? Sarah and Melanie were the only interesting cast members. Johnny was definitely not interesting on Key West. And Cohutta?

Willie, Shavonda and Cohutta came to mind because Willie was on one of my favorite kids shows ghostwriter, Shavonda brought some drama and as for Cohutta he was just so country lol. Also I do agree on mel and sarah being interesting.

I don't think Irene was a b****. She was sick and David assaulted her. Plain and simple.
RW Miami: Dan :) I thoroughly enjoyed when he freaked out on Melissa about his mail that she opened. Rw Boston: Genesis.... (probably because I'd never seen a "lipstick lesbian" before) Rw Seattle: I'm going with Janet.... I don't know why, but I just really like her and enjoyed watching her. I actually couldn't stand Irene and have liked her even less when I've heard her talk about her experience on the show. I could be wrong, but I believe I've heard her say that she just used the lyme disease as an excuse to leave. She was a whiney one and really annoyed me. Rw Hawaii: ummmm... Tech!!!!! Seriously, has everyone really forgotten him? :) Rw New orleans: I guess Melissa, but to be fair I thought the entire cast was great as a whole. :) Rw Back to New York: Coral Smith Rw San Diego: Brad Fiorenza Rw Phily: Landon or MJ.... I barely remembered Willie Rw Sydney: Isaac Stout and Cohutta at a close second.... I ended up only watching the show to see them. They made me laugh more than any other season...
Season 1 - Julie [I feel she learned the most] Season 2 - Beth [duh] Season 3 - Pedro [duh again] Season 4 - Jacinda [does anyone really know anyone else from this cast?] Season 5 - Dan [drama all over his forehead...great casting choice] Season 6 - Montana [didn't watch, but I'll trust everyone else] Season 7 - Irene [the story of the season was the slap] Season 8 - Ruthie [alcoholism anyone?] Season 9 - Julie [how could you not vote Julie for this season? She may suck now, but she owned that season] Season 10 - Mike [he learned the most] Season 11 - Tonya [I feel she's the obvious choice, but I almost put Cara here] Season 12 - Trishelle [perfect RW house mate] Season 13 - CT [he's crazy] Season 14 - Cameran [so cute, so naive, perfect RW cast member] Season 15 - Landon [i hated this season, but most everything seemed to revolve around him] Season 16 - Danny [he got *** on during this season, with the punch, his mom, etc.... but he met Melinda so there's a plus] Season 17 - Paula [nobody else is close] Season 18 - Brooke [see above] Season 19 - Parisa [the only intelligent one of the bunch] Season 20 - Kimberly [I don't know, maybe I'm biased cuz I LOVE her]

eh. I dunno OPD. Something about her never sat well with me.
I am only gonna do this for the seasons I actually watched...which started with Boston! Boston: Jason or Montana. They were both in relationships w/crazy people at one point and made great TV. Seattle: David. "IT KILLS ME KIRAAAAAAAAAA. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW." Enough said. Hawaii: God, this one is really hard because Amaya, Ruthie and Teck are all MVPS. I'll go with Teck. New Orleans: Melissa for the laughs she brought. Back to New York: Loved Malik but Coral was the real MVP here. Chicago: Obviously Tonya, there's not another option. Las Vegas: Frank, I think. For being somewhat normal among the crazies. Paris: CT will work you. San Diego: Brad for getting arrested and just generally saying hilarious things while drunk. Philly: IDK. Landon based on challenge appearances and the knife thing. Austin: Wes, what a psycho. Key West: I never watched it but Johnny Bananas? Denver: None. Sydney: Parisa owned this season. Hollywood: God, Joey brought a lot of great moments...but he left so early.
My MVP picks: RW New York: Heather RW Los Angeles: Beth S. RW San Fransisco: Pedro RW London: Jacinda RW Miami: Dan RW Boston: Syrus RW Seattle: Irene RW Hawaii: Ruthie RW New Orleans: Julie RW BTNY: Miz RW Chicago: Aneesa RW Las Vegas: Alton RW Paris: CT RW San Diego: Brad RW Philly: Landon RW Austin:Wes RW Key West: Svetlana RW Denver: Brooke RW Sydney: Cohutta RW Hollywood: Joey
