Stage 20: Home of The Real World Hollywood

I agree that it seems a bit stale (as any repurposed "industrial" space would feel.) It almost echoes a "Big Brother" type of house with the large rooms and caged in pool (a large Hollywood sound stage with a couches and beds.) Yes, I get that this season is The Real World Hollywood and thus the movie studio look plays into the theme, but still I suspect that we have moved too far away from an actual house and will be lacking a certain sense of intimacy. Sydney was the same type of massive facility, and look where that got us. I remember reading somewhere that like the first rock of love house was a former Top Model house. I think its kind of funny that a lot of times they just redo these used up reality houses for different shows.

There was a lot of concern in the community about having the filming take place in a quiet (and posh) residential community. People were not happy, but it was promised that after filming the restored building would be left in an improved state. I liked the Boston, New Orleans, and Hawaii houses. Even the Chicago loft was pretty cool. Just another old school trend that we will lose now. :(
