I wish in some ways they could bring it back to the fans, like the show was intended. The US installment is the only one where the fans don't decide who goes home. I think we've learned our lesson from the first season ( although I still would have wanted to keep Eddie and Josh in the house ;) ) I don't have much faith in Allison Grodner and until they demote her I don't see things changing, only getting more outrageous.
I think it would be fun to have voting from the fans again. At the very least they could give us one vote. It would not matter most of the time, but when it did it could make things interesting. I agree that things will not be changing with Queen Grodner at the helm, but I do expect a more "normal" cast this summer. This winter edition was an audible to save a strike ravaged network and they cut some corners and went with a younger, sexually liberated (as V1man likes to say) cast with this free shot at the ratings end zone. A penalty flag has been thrown by the fans, the pass was incomplete (with advertisers) and we will start over from the line of scrimmage in July. :D
Somehow I was expecting a baseball analogy if you were going to do one. Football is so over! ;) I don't expect to see a huge variety of ages this summer. Casting is still short and tight and the winning formula seems to be young and beautiful. I just wish they'd pick some with brains and strategic game play.
I think its pretty funny that BB is better with a few old people when I think Survivor needs to have an all cast of young people. I'm tired of watching the old people always getting voted out first. I agree though i think BB should have more old people and it would be really awesome if we could get at least one vote.

Kail - Bad Choice. Shelia = Bad Choice. **** = Winner (well, you know what I mean.) What about a guy like Terry Deitz from Survivor? He rocked and he wasn't a young pup. I was also a fan of Yau-man. Old doesn't mean weak, but for some reason the casting directors usually cast old & weak/senile. On top of that they only cast 1 (or 2) so they are immediately the odd person(s) out which seals their fate. Still, most houseguests on previous seasons were mid 20's and early 30's, and that is what I meant by an older cast. Big Brother Till Death You Part's cast are practically all in their early 20's (besides Shelia) which just makes it a ***k fest with no strategy. CBS skews heavily to an older audience, and putting young drunk kids on their network is not going to steal away viewers from MTV's Tila Tequila or The Hills, it just pushes away viewers that they already had.
Yeah thats true...and Terry does rock along with Yau-Man. I thought Natalie and Adam are like in there late 20's and now that I remember Natalie was complaining cause she turning 30 soon. Anyways...I do see your point on the "right" older people. These casting directors really need to be specific on older people.
Nat is 28. If you go back to BB6 you had Howie, Eric, Rachel and April all in their 30's. This season there are none for the obvious reason that they wanted them young, dumb and full of...er....never mind.
Yeah thats right...she was complaining that she was turning 30 in 2 years. I liked that idea of pairing them up I just wish they would have stuck to it a little longer. Have you also noticed that Niel isn't in the show intro?

I can't even remember what he looks like. He was only on TV for about 10 seconds!

Who do you want to win? I can tell you that a female starting with an S was the first to drop out and won the HoH competition. ;)
Who do you want to win? I can tell you that a female starting with an S was the first to drop out and won the HoH competition. ;)
What is this, a game show? ;) No way Shelia could have won, so that leaves Sharon. This week is going to suck.
I'll tell you what, I'll post the result for the comps and noms in spoiler codes. So if you want to peak you can and if you don't that's cool too. ;) The Results of the HoH Competition:
In the last few minutes of the live show Sharon could be heard saying that she didn't feel like that she was going to last very long and that she was going to fall. And sure enough when the feeds came back on she dropped soon after. Ryan, Sheila and Natalie held on for quite awhile. Sometime after the two hour mark Ryan dropped after making a deal with Sheila that he was completely from noms and veto if she should win because he pulled her off the block last week. Sheila in her usual way, whined that she just wanted to see her photos and get a letter from her son. Every one else has had that and she hasn't. Natalie doesn't want to give up. She feels that she is being targeted because of what James told her. They all are offended that she would think that and that of course James was lying to her. *snerk* Sharon finally appeals to Natalie's Christianity and says that a good Christian like she spoke to Julie about would drop and let Sheila have it. Sheila promises Natalie that she will not nominate her. Just at 3 hours or after, Natalie drops out and lets Sheila have the win.
The Nominations:
Having promised not to nominate Ryan and Natalie, Sheila was left with only two options for nominations. She kept her word and nominated Adam and Sharon.
The PoV Competition:
They had a late night competition and it was similar to the morph-o-matics they've had in the past. The times were 16 mins, 6 mins, 12 mins and 3 mins and one that was less than 4 mins. As expected Sheila had the worst time, but surprisingly the artist and master puzzler came in 2nd to last with 12 mins. HA HA. Adam was the winner at 3 mins.
I haven't been watching the feeds much lately, I've been busy and well honestly I can't stand Natalie and without James and Josh to watch I just can't stomach her at all.
I just read the HOH part. You have to be shitting me!
How the hell did Shelia win? She couldn't fight her way out of a paper bag with scissors!
Thanks Kathleen! I am going to hold off on the other two so that I have something to "look forward to" Sunday and Tuesday. Nat has gotten on me big time as well. I can't stand the team TC moniker. It drives me crazy. You have to know that the "holier than thou" act drives me up a wall.
Well if you ask
Natalie, she'll say it's because she gave it to Sheila. Which we will never know. Based on the last endurance comp. it's logical to say that it was Nat's comp to lose. But Sheila argues that she still had more in her and could have beaten Natalie with this one.
I have to say Kathleen...I am totally missing your "feed replay" It was nice knowing what was going on behind the scenes so to speak. I am at work for way to many hours a week so it was a good way to catch up. I am hoping beyond hope that Natalie leaves soon, but to tell youthe truth now that James is gone I really couldn't care less if I watch or not. It's like the end of last season, I didn't even watch the last episode because I didn't care who won because frankly I didn't think either one deserved to win
Does anybody know who the replacement nomination was? That is if they had the ceremony yet?
Nothing yet Pheonix, should be in a few more hours.
They just finished....Adam took himself off and Natalie was put up.
I haven't watched yet today but I plan on watching soon. If the plans hold true then there should be a whole lot of fireworks after dinner. :D
Thank you for the spoiler. I am very glad to hear that Natalie is going up for eviction. I think it is pretty obvious, from what we saw on the episode tonight that Natalie is going home this week. If they are smart they will vote her out instead of Sharon. I wonder if she thinks Sharon is going home, or if she knows she is. This should be a very interesting week in the Big Brother House.
Geez, Sharon is just kind of floatin through isn't she?
I give her another week if the guys stick with the plan. But being that this is BB anything could happen.
I give her another week if the guys stick with the plan. But being that this is BB anything could happen.
Especially considering next week is Final 4 week where only the HoH is guaranteed to get through and all the evicting power falls to the Veto winner...
Final four next week! Woot! BB9 is almost over!!!!!! LOL This has been so torturous that I pray to the BB Gods that BB10 will rectify everything.

LOL This has been so torturous that I pray to the BB Gods that BB10 will rectify everything.
I am also looking forward to this season ending. I prayed for a double elimination (every week since the show began) but so far the Gods have not been kind... At least we are in the home stretch now.
So what is the boys plan??? I am pulling for Ryan at this point. I just hope Sheila doesn't make it to the flipping final 2
So what is the boys plan??? I am pulling for Ryan at this point. I just hope Sheila doesn't make it to the flipping final 2
Ryan is the only person I could stomach all season, and his quasi racist overtones early on have made even that allegiance hard to swallow. I can't wait for this to end. I don't have the ability to break my addiction on my own, so I'll just have to grab the tail of the dragon until the supply dries up.
Wow, I don't check this site for a few days and it explodes. 4 pages in last 4 days. I think that is the most BB activity we've had all season on Vevmo. I think I'm rooting for Natalie to go to sequester. She's got the major "Crazy Eyes". Makes it hard for me to watch the show. Since I haven't really developed any true favorites this season I pretty wide open as to who I want to win. I guess anyone but Shiela would be alright with me. Everyone said this was the new nerd herd and that it would be boring without Crazy James. But at least on Vevmo, it seems more people are interested than ever.
Yeah, it's gotten exciting. I really don't have a favorite. I'm just usually an underdog rooter. So I'm kind of supporting Sharon. I was a fan of "Team Pink" so its hard to watch now with just about all of them gone.
I just hope that Natalie gets evicted.
