Gauntlet 3: Episode 9 - Army Strong
I tried to watch the sneak peak over at MTV today but the site was having problems, so I have no idea what is in store for us tonight.
...other then the Rookies winning and the poor Veteran ******** going home without a dime! Whoo hoo!
Being I have seen the Eric on the ground scene one miiiiiiiillion times in G3 previews and it has yet to be aired, I am prepared to say that tonight is the night! We all know that he lives through the experience (although you would hope it would spur him on to make some lifestyle changes.) I have a feeling that the incident will play a pivotal role in tonights episode. I guess we will find out soon enough.
No worries, the "sneak peek" was entirely useless. None of us know what's going to go down, either. ;)
Yeah all you missed was Ct shaving his head and Diem drooling over him. I cannot wait to see it all go down!!! Once again I am pacific time though, so I have to wait 3 hours later than some of you.
I hear ya on that one....we have to wait for everything! :P
Not everything. Back in the day (when I was going to ASU) we would watch NFL football (in the AM) and drinking was allowed being it was "afternoon" in our places of origin. So, there are advantages (as live sporting events are simulcast.) I am excited for the finale too! To bad the reunion wasn't scheduled right after...
Game awwwwwwwwn!

Well, we finally have an answer to why the vets are ticked at Eric.
I thought it was a great episode! Nice to see the cocky vets go down in flames. That is what they get for keeping Eric along for the ride. We all know that the final challenge always involves lots of running and they did too. What did they expect? How did they think this would end? They got what they deserved. On a side note: Brad is such a stand up guy. I have seen glimpses of it in the past, but this episode you really got to see his true colors. Tori is a lucky gal!
On a side note: Brad is such a stand up guy. I have seen glimpses of it in the past, but this episode you really got to see his true colors. Tori is a lucky gal!
yeah, I was very impressed with Brad tonight the fact that he put Eric's life before a measley 20,000 (okay I know its a large amount of money, but not for someones life) and others were shit talking was very admirable. On another note, Did I see CT defending Eric early on in the final mission??
yeah, I was very impressed with Brad tonight the fact that he put Eric's life before a measley 20,000 (okay I know its a large amount of money, but not for someones life) and others were shit talking was very admirable. On another note, Did I see CT defending Eric early on in the final mission??
CT was playing smart early on and I think he genuinely wanted to do what was best for his and Eric's interest and that included not brow beating him (as Evan was doing.) He knew in that situation it was not going to help. I am actually surprised they didn't try to carry Eric. He is a big 300lb++ man, but all the veteran guys are as strong as hell and they just might have been able to pull it off. We have no idea how long it actually took the Rookies to dig out the flag. For all we know....It could have been an hour later!
I personally cannot STAND Kenny. I think he is the most arrogant ******* to ever walk this planet.. or atleast appear on MTV. When he isnt constantly talking about how hot, strong and incredibly good looking he is (or atleast in his mind) he is bashing the girls calling them fat, ugly etc. Everyone knows they can be weak links in challenges sometimes but come on Kenny stop saying sexist crap just to get airplay and to have people think you are funny. His comment during the final challenge, saying "hes dying shes over here crying" was totally rude. If he was really dying then HELP him u *******, someones life isnt worth 30K. Now that i am done ranting about Kenny.... does anyone know if/when there will be another challenge?? And has anyone heard anything as to who won the real world awards??
I am not a fan of Kenny's either. Actually we don't see many Kenny fans around these parts (did we scare them all away or are they an endangered species?) As for another challenge: The contract has been picked up, but I have yet to hear which one it will be (Duel, Bots, etc) and when it will be filmed.
And has anyone heard anything as to who won the real world awards??
I think we learned that Trishelle won for being the biggest **** in the steamiest love scene. Beyond that we are (surprising) in the dark!
i did not like the austin click, but they were the lesser of two evils so i am glad it turned out as it did. eric should consider the subway diet or something before the next challenge.
I think it was great that they did a flashback of Johnny's speech to the team about Eric. I knew he was right then and so did the team - and thus they pay the price!
ditto all of that, bacchus. they deserved to lose, brad has shown he's a stand up guy who i would love to see in future shows, and johnny bananas proved to be the casandra of all this. i can't help but say a great big "mwaha!" to the vets for playing favorites so terribly and "strategically." (I quote 'strategically' because if there was any sort of strategy to it they would've, *of course*, voted Eric in before Johnny.) Also, I think Frank and Adam are pretty reasonable, smart kids. I've been out of the Vevmo loop for a long while. Have there been discussions about them in particular?
You know, I'm certainly not trying to defend the Vets here, but it did seem like, based on the medics' advice, that it would be a bad idea to carry him. I mean, if you've got an EMT guy/lady basically saying, "It's up to you if you want to carry him--BUT it's his life or your money," then you probably wouldn't stop the ambulance or anything. Again, I have no problem with the Vets losing. (Except for Adam...and maybe Paula.)
I think the veterns did not listen to the team work instruction... they should have helped big eric when he was swimming and struggling. The only who helped was CT. I don't like CT but at the same time it seemed like he was only one who wasn't completely ignoring Eric besides Evan yelling at him the whole time . I'm glad the veterns lost mostly because I loved seeing Kenny, Evan, and Ev lose. I really do not like Ev. She is such a B.

You know...now that I think about it, they could have used Robin as a personal flotation device to ease Eric's transition from ship to shore! (fake ***** specific gravity < water!)
You know...now that I think about it, they could have used Robin as a personal flotation device to ease Eric's transition from ship to shore! (fake ***** specific gravity < water!)
no, they would have to be of Shauvon's proportions to Hold up Eric...but then again they would be working hard enough to keep her porky *** above water.
no, they would have to be of Shauvon's proportions to Hold up Eric...but then again they would be working hard enough to keep her porky *** above water.
Very true! Also, Robin did go through some downsizing recently (looks great BTW) so I agree that it would probably not have been a viable option......to bad they did not keep Casey as they could have strung her, Robin and Paula all together and made a raft! :devil2:
LOL, did Paula have her new ******* by then?? because otherwise her little twig *** won't help at all.
Good point. I don't think she invested in her "Mae West's" until after the challenge. ;)
The Vets could've won if they'd kept Casey and Paula's would've had her new *****. I'm thinking all that brand new silicone would've easily kept Eric afloat.
Wasn't Evan's motivational speech after Eric quit so inspiring? :puke:
