I think they did it from a tent in a parking lot at Wendys just up the street from BMP. They never would spend the money to use Nickelodeon's Burbank studio. :moon: :dev:
*SNAP* :D
I know Road Rules Darrel has won every challenge he has been on, but I don't know how many he has been on. Individually winning the 125 G in Freshmeat probably puts him pretty up there in monetary winnings though.
And Bacchus, you do bring up a valid point about people faking sicknesses just to get out of the final challenge. I guess if they changed the rules the people participating would have to be monitered by the 'honor system', and these are some of the least honorable people eva!

This was a great real life lesson that on challenges you should keep your best players, not your best friends.
I'm surprised that Ev is really the only one who has posted a sort of "season end" blog. It seems to me like other people, particularly those involved in the Eric debacle, would have something they want to say, but apparently not. Oh, and Tori posted a note on facebook and mentioned that she had emergency surgery last week (yikes! Anyone know anything more about that?) and that she has forgotten her iamonmtv.com password. You'd think they'd mail it to her or something...her note, IMO, is certainly worth posting on iamonmtv for all those who do not have facebook. Hopefully Bacchus will keep us updated in case any other cast members choose to use facebook as a medium to express their thoughts on the show.
From Tori's Facebook:
Hello Friends and Fans! It's been forever since I have written a blog and I totally forgot my Iamonmtv.com password, but since most of you write the same messages to me on here as you do on there I figured I would post a quick note. I am getting ready to leave for Miss USA on Tuesday and I have so much to do and so little time. As most of you know I had to have emergency surgery a week ago, which has really put a hold on my preperation. However, your love and support really means a lot to me! My doctors and I tried to put the surgery off until after miss usa but we had no other option. I have been sick and in and out of the hospital for the last two months so I think my Miss USA experience will be much more exciting now that I am on my way to what we hope is going to be a speedy recovery!...Girls get ready to have a blast in Vegas, we are about to have the time of our lives!!! Oh and a quick side note.. I have the best roommate ever Maine is totally going to ROCK The MISS USA STAGE!!!! The Gauntlet 3 Finale...My Team Won...Go Rookies! The Challenge overall was really hard and after watching the show it amazes me how much I have grown in a year. I have learned its much better to be a quiet force than to get loud when you are passionate about something. Also my father and I have come up with a list of words to use instead of the F word on national television email me if you would like it,its quite long lol...Sorry dad next time ill put the list to good use!... No, I don't yell like that in my everday life, and actually most of the time believe it or not Frank and I got along. I am totally on team Frillian and think they both are amazing people and deserved the money...remember people it's a TV show for entertainment purposes ONLY! We filmed for 6 weeks everyday all day and you got to see a total of 9 hours....thats not even a whole day...something to think about! Brad and I are still together and doing wonderful. We have a little baby pomeranian puppy who is the most handsome little doodle-bug ever, but he should have come with a warning label that reads...I WILL RUIN YOUR HOUSE! I tell Brad everyday that I did reality TV the way it should be done..I went on two shows won them both and found the greatest guy in the whole world. I think this is it for me as far as Challenges are concerned, I am ready to finish my degree and get a normal job. It was fun and I'm glad I did it, but its time to grow up :)!! I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL EASTER weekend! Tune into NBC on April 11th for the MISS USA 2008 pageant! Hugs, ToRi
From Ev's Myspace Blog:
The End And my second full season comes to an end. I was the first person eliminated from Fresh Meat and I learned a hell of a lot from that experience. I won the Inferno and learned nothing from it, that challenge was a cakewalk compared to this one. The Veterans won the Gauntlet 3. All the same, I learned from it. What you viewers got was a very tiny fraction of what actually happened on that day, but I'm not allowed to go into that. Eric collapsed 20 feet from the sliders puzzle, he was going to have an indefinite breather as soon as we got there, and from that checkpoint it was less than a half mile to the finish line. We should have carried him there. We could have laid him down on the sand while we did the puzzle and proceeded accordingly. We were in sight of the ****** finish line. He would have been fine, I'm a collegiate athlete and I have worked myself to the point of blacking out before, and I'm telling you he would've survived the last 25 minutes. It took us two hours to dig up that chest, he would've been able to spend that entire time drinking Gatorade and catching his breath. And guys, we were walking and giving Eric breathers the entire way. There was nothing more we could've done for him. That said I hope to never do a team challenge again, unfortunately we never know the format until we show up at the challenge. I hate the nonsense that goes with being chained at the hip (literally, in the case of the final) to some of these people. I'm a competitive person and I come on these things to win, and what these challenges have taught me is that I can only rely on myself. I have two regrets from the Gauntlet: The first is going along with getting rid of Katie. What I've realized is that she's the most genuine, kind-hearted person on these things. That was a mistake and one for which I am truly sorry. Katie, you've probably heard enough of this from me, but I am sorry girl. The second is not throwing men's Gauntlet days. I stepped up and put myself into the Gauntlet to make our team stronger, and our men did not make the same sacrifice to rid us of Eric. I should have demanded this and made it happen, but I, like everyone else, wanted to believe that that was only a minor problem. My naivety on this challenge was abundantly clear, both in my relationship with Brooke and the ease with which I allowed myself to be manipulated. That quality is gone for good now. Congratulations to Beth on her engagement!! Hopefully this lays the Tenderoni nonsense to rest once and for all.
at least she wasn't bitter like i expected her to be.
at least she wasn't bitter like i expected her to be.
She had many, many months to think about it and tune her response. Ev is an adult and the sour grapes at the time of filming fortunately did not ferment into bitterness over time. Of course she did basically say the innocence of her youth had been forever ripped from her soul because of the Gauntlet experience! ;)

i would've loved to be on the Gauntlet.q
From Tori's Facebook:
nice! she's right! she won both shows...she should pack it up and call it a day. I love it when they do a challenge or two...then head off back to real life. Wish more would follow that example.
Many people will disagree with me on this, but I don't care. I can no longer stand Evelyn. I hate her creepy voice. I hate her stupid high ponytails and ugly visor. I hate her bad eye make up. And I hate her cold, humorless demeanor. She was talking crap on Coral for quitting and screwing her team over??? Ummmm, Coral screwed over a team who was actively trying to screw HER over! And if anything, she helped them because they wanted to pick off more girls anyway. And silly, sad little Evelyn. That is not what Coral's legacy will be. Coral is one of the strongest, intelligent, witty, entertaining, and dynamic people ever cast on these shows. That will be her legacy sweetheart. What will yours be? Bad, boring interviews of crap talking and hooking up with Brooke only to be dumped for your ex before the show even airs??? Shut it.

I LOVED her in that movie! And remember that show back from Summer '06 maybe? Called "Reunion" on Fox? She was on that too and I thought it was a good show, but it disappeared into oblivion never to be seen again after maybe 5 eps.
Tee hee, thanks, maybe I should go on angry rants more often! I've never gotten the 'slow clap' before, reminds me of the movie Lucas. I had just watched the episode where Coral goes home last night, so I'm a little behind on my rant, but it needed to be said dang it!
