Yeah, I mean like, they asked me specifically about my parents, and their relationship. They presented me with what I had written, and wanted to know more about specific parts of it. They also asked me specifically about why I chose to go to school where I do, based on what they know about the town, etc.

The application is only the start of MANY more rounds of interviews, even before you go to California.

Alright...let me get straight to it.
Based on recent casts, I was wondering if there was a heavy base of sexual questions as well as an inquisitive leaning toward inferences to party/drinking tendencies.
Obviously if they are getting the casts they are getting, they must be looking for a certain group of people. From what we have seen it would only make sense that they are less likely to ask who your favorite history teacher is and more likely to ask your favorite drink or sexual position.
PS- I got my "call back" after my recorded interview. It is actually an email this time, with a PDF attachment. The email says:

i got the same thing. my guess is that everyone that did an interview got the same email. i think if we do get called back we will get an actual call not an email.

Although this may be true, I got a call about an hour after the email telling me exactly what they wanted.

huh? i made a tape already when i sent one in for round 1. i didn't go to a casting call, i sent a tape in. however, after my interview i got this email. i was curious why i got it since i made a tape already, so i emailed them. one of the casting directors said that i didn't need to make a new one since they already had my original one.

Ah. Well the round 1 tape and the round whatever this is are completely different tapes. Length requirements are different, as well as video expectations. This is also the reason that they ask you to put a code on the envelope that you send it in, so that it's not mistaken for other unsolicited tapes.

it really is not a very difficult process. yargh, makes it out to be, but it is not.
just be yourself and have fun. i think it is kind of fun goofing around in front of a camera, but i'm into film so i guess it comes a little easier for me. i guess it is hard if you get yourself all worked up about getting called back. just don't expect anything and who knows maybe you get lucky and get on the show.
Lol, logistically speaking, unless you play by their rules, you might get overlooked. It's not difficult if you can read and follow instructions carefully.
