ooooooooooooh wasn't someone else on here wanting to send a tape in? Seannn maybe?
Ughhhhhhhhhhh, I wanna be on this show, but I dont wanna send a tape in! I was hoping that they would do an Open Call Cast in Atlanta. I think I have a better chance at an OCC than sending in a tape, what do you guys think?
you could send it in on that website like I did.....idk, same as a tape though. If they dont add an Atlanta date.....just make a tape! theres really nothing to lose
Real World 21 casting for activists, “people who are passionate about the world,” have “depth” Although years have passed since anyone cared about The Real World, and The Hills now defines the network, MTV has renewed its once-groundbreaking series for a 21st season and producers are searching for seven people, including those who are activists or have “depth.” Casting director Damon Furberg told me that producers “are once again looking for people with career goals — this time not specifically entertainment-related,” including “‘activists’ who are passionate about political, social, or environmental causes.” He added that “these qualities are not a requirement—just something were looking out for.” The Hollywood-set season searched for people with entertainment industry career aspirations, and that focus on finding people with actual lives is continuing because, as Furberg said, “we’re generally looking to attract some depth this season, and the easiest way to express that is by asking for people who are passionate about the world around them and have an aspiration, cause or a political issue that is important to them.” Those interested in applying should sober up—or not!—and send in a video, attend an open casting call, or, in a series first, upload a digital video. The deadline for submitting tapes is Jan. 28. Real World 21 is Now Casting! [Bunim-Murray] I think this pretty much confirms that RW:21 production will be held in Washington DC. Anyone on my Train? Doesnt it make sense to tape the show during Elections in DC?
It'll totally be DC. and i just went to DC like 6 mos ago and its a GREAT city. good night life, good times, history, politics yada yada yada ....im totally not passing round 1. ****IT haha
I really wanna be on this show. I think Im perfect lol
Then make a tape! just dooo itttt haha

def a good observation! I just had a friend move back home (CT) from DC she liked it a lot. itd be cool to live there. SO COME ON BMP. (pickme)

I think RW21 is gonna suck if thats what there going for. The depth part is the only thing that's keeping me interested. Who knows, maybe im wrong.
Yeah I am an animal activist, but I am too old according MTV standards...besides I would not be able to be away from my dogs that long (LOL sad huh)

not really sad. I think its sweet. but yeah you'd probably should try out anyways. it worked for Will and Kim.
not really sad. I think its sweet. but yeah you'd probably should try out anyways. it worked for Will and Kim.
Will and Kim were both 24 at the time of casting. If I remember correctly, Kim turned 25 in either October or November (not sure about Will.)
There should be a real world season where the people are like 25-27. or at least a few 25-27ish year olds. That would make it interesting. see how some peeps in their late 20s react to living with 19-21 year olds.

yeah AI age limit is 27 so why not RW?
see how some peeps in their late 20s react to living with 19-21 year olds.
You mean the Real World/Road Rules Challenge? ;)
You mean the Real World/Road Rules Challenge? ;)
and HOW MUCH BETTER are they! haha
and HOW MUCH BETTER are they! haha
I am totally down for a slightly older, more real life Real World. Say age 25-32 who are young professionals living in a major east coast business hub, mixing work with fun. Why not make a Real World version for those that grew up with the show and are sick of little kids doing jell-o shots and arguing over the telephone? I think a more sophisticated rendition could do good numbers if marketed outside of the 14 year old girl, core MTV (Tila Tequila/ Hills) audience. Maybe do some ad buys on channels like Bravo and Lifetime to create some buzz. MTV needs a makeover. Why not start with its Flagship series?
today is open casting call in SF, like 20 minutes away from where i live! I hella wanna go but i have work in about 2 hours. =[ Oh well...my chances are highly low anyway since im only 17 (most likely 18 by the time filming starts) and I haven't seen any newly legal people on the show for a while! I should try sending in a video, just for kicks though! haha...see what happens from there. and I wouldn't be too excited if this season took place in D.C. Im not too involved with all that political stuff... maybe season 22? if this show even lasts that long! haha. based on that short article, looks like they're just gonna do contract renewals for each season...
oh great now I have the mind of a 14 year old
Awwww......sorry Stacee, you know I just can't help myself when it comes to "Hills" slights. There are definitely some 15 and 16 year old girls that watch too. /me takes knife and twists it deeper
Stacee, the majority of the people on this forum are probably considered too old to be watching anything on Mtv. But we don't care damn it! :D
