There also may be the element that Johnny wanted a rookie team and Bananas threw him a bone as they're friends. Despite the fact that Wes has lost a LOT of shine since the Ruins, I still wouldn't want to deal with a guy that's been in and won so many eliminations. 

This properly properly sucks. Poor thing.

Passing up the opportunity to send Jordan/Johnny/Zach against each other is ridiculous and the most reckless move Bananas has made in a while.
