This looks... interesting.

Tans might fade, muscles wither and the laundry piles up, but don't mope too long about the upcoming finale of "Jersey Shore." Because come January 3, MTV has a whole new hell-raising group of friends for you to fall in love with on "Buckwild." The show, which will air in the same time slot as "Shore," follows the exploits of nine friends in small town Sissonville, West Virginia, as they fight, drink, four-wheel, dive in mud puddles and generally tear things up while following their simple credo: "Whatever happens, happens."

Shain The outgoing former high school prom king (who missed the dance because he had to work) has tried every gig from mining to garbage man. His hobbies include mudding, hunting and four-wheeling. Shae Known around town as a Southern belle, nursing student Shae has been chased around by just about every eligible bachelor in Sissonville, yet always ends up with the bad boys. Oh yeah, her first kiss was on the back of a four-wheeler. Anna She comes from the nicer part of town, but Anna prefers getting down and dirty in creeks and is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. Joey Shain's best friend since they were toddlers, Joey fancies himself a ladies' man with a reckless "Jack*ss" heart. Ashley She may be a girl, but Ashley likes being one of the guys and is always happy to stir up drama in the crew. Cara After growing up in the biggest college town in West Virginia (Morgantown), Cara knows her way around the bar scene but had to leave the big city after too much drama with her ex. Tyler Don't let his innocent good looks fool you: Tyler is a heartbreaker who works at his dad's company. Katie Though she's a well-rounded college girl, Katie prefers to spend her free time with her Sissonville pals, who like to push the danger-averse worrier to her limits. Salwa The recent college graduate lives at home with her strict parents but takes any chance she can to break away and get the party started.

Frightening....
Pass. Saw the commercial this morning.
Something about this just screams "racist undertone" lol. I'll stick to K-town
Foolishness.
I feel like MTV is trying to capitalize off the whole Honey Boo-Boo crap by putting more white trash on our televisions. Anyway, I hope this fails, it looks horrible.
Me too. I hate redneck ****.
I feel like MTV is trying to capitalize off the whole Honey Boo-Boo crap by putting more white trash on our televisions.
I agree. I think it'll either die horribly, or be hugely popular. I'm hoping for the former. The Jersey Shore cast at least had something to like, but there's nothing likeable about pure stupidity.
Anyway, I hope this fails, it looks horrible.
I feel like it will. Just like Underemployeed, I Just Want My Pants Back, USA Skins, etc.. MTV has been coming out with so many ****** shows recently. The only good one so far is Catfish. They should focus on maybe bring back fan favorites like Room Raiders, NEXT, Boiling Points..
Underemployed is AMAZING. However Kalissa shows are fake...

Kids are into sex, aren't they? (maybe that won't work either).
Hell, bring back that sex show Undressed they had back in the days. Kids are into sex, aren't they? (maybe that won't work either).
They tried with... Skins. But I remember Undressed use to come on after Daria and Celebrity Deathmatch.
Saw a commercial for this yesterday and it looks pretty good. Kinda like ******* but with young kids. Not sure how long it'll last but it'll be set to record for as long as it's around!
I hope this show fails.
WHY HAVE I NOT HEARD ABOUT THIS SHOW TIL TODAY? This show looks AMAZINGGG. I love trashy shows like this and now that Jersey Shore is ending soon, I need a replacement so this seems PERFECT!
WHY HAVE I NOT HEARD ABOUT THIS SHOW TIL TODAY? This show looks AMAZINGGG. It's actually embarrassing watching the trailer. Maybe if they weren't just a couple a kids trying really really hard to be remember-able it could turn out okay. Instead it's just more over-dramatic, fake garbage.

That's why I loved The Hills, Jersey Shore (in the beginning at least) and the more 'party' seasons of the RW (like Cancun and Vegas).

Funny he goes after and MTV series but said nothing about the Wrong Turn sagas. LMAO.
Interestingly the episodes are only 30 minutes. They will be airing 2 back to back on Thursday nights, so the final episode will air on February 7th. Maybe The Real World might take this time slot with Washington Heights being on, on Wednesday nights.

I grew up with a lot of people JUST like that, and that's really how they are. They really do love to do all those weird things and are really that over the top. I think this show looks like far more of a "real" portrayal than Jersey Shore ever was.

I see the previews and just laugh and shake my head at the unneccesary drama they're creating. It's obviously just another try hard show.

From the previews, I know that this will pretty accurately show just how young southerners are.
There must be a sub-divide in the south; I've lived all over Tejas my entire life and I've never met people like that until I visited GA

Which reminds me they never released "Music to get Undressed" but yet 2 seasons are online at the official site.
Interestingly the episodes are only 30 minutes. And please MTV bring back the Afternoon MTV Sneak Peek's.
I guess we agree to disagree.
There must be a sub-divide in the south; I've lived all over Tejas my entire life and I've never met people like that until I visited GA
This is also true but not for all of Georgia though, Navy.
I'm mostly interested in the crazy stunts they do. Kinda reminds me of Jack*** in a way, but with people who aren't semi-professional whackjobs. I completely missed the Jersey Shore craze of the last several years but I don't mind a little bit of crazy alcohol/fighting drama as long as it feels natural (ie not induced by boredom like on the Challenges).
Don't get too excited for this show. W.Va. Senator to MTV: Cancel ‘Buckwild’ Series | XFINITY TV Blog by Comcast

Even the NJ mayor has spoken out against the show, I'm sure nothing will happen.

I'm sure it will be cancelled after that so I don't see why the Senator is up in arms like it has JS tenure or something, smdh..

There's worser shows on the CMT that are based on the same format, such as Redneck Vacation, Redneck Rehab, Redneck Wedding, etc. etc.
