Are these kids under the age of 21? I really hope people don't act like this.
They're all over 21, if I'm not mistaken. I personally see nothing wrong with how they act. They're young kids in West Virginia trying to have fun on a tv show, and they're not hurting anyone. The only thing that was out of line was that fight with the neighbor, but even that wasn't too bad.

2nd episode was great. I love how 2 random people who they met at the club had their own storyline and him getting hit by that drunk girl when he blocked the street, so funny. They should have just done the whole season in Morgantown and had them make trips back to their hometowns. I much prefer watching them adapt to what they consider a "big city". It reminds me a lot of MTV UK's show The Valleys.
lol a couple of them even have 4 year college degrees
lol a couple of them even have 4 year college degrees
Still doesn't make you smart aka (Nate/B2SD).
Still doesn't make you smart aka (Nate/B2SD).
His degree was in engineering; I'd say he's pretty smart. Just because someone asks like a ******* sometimes doesn't make them dumb
This showis way better than Jersey shore season 3-6. And at least there's some sex appeal on this show with Cara and Shae whereas Jersey shore had zero sex appeal
The Valleys?
MTVUK - The Valleys - EXCLUSIVE PROMO - YouTube Amazing show, probably the most entertaining show I've ever seen, although obviously it has nothing compared to TRW because it lacks substance. Its basically the same format as Buckwild, with the castmembers being sheltered kids from the country, but they send them to live in the "big city" Cardiff, and carnage ensues. I'm pretty sure that it is supposed to be ironic but they kept going on about Cardiff as if they have just made it to New York. Which always made me laugh, a bit like how this show talks up Morgantown. Also people on this show are 19, yet they look about 5 years older than everyone on Buckwild. It's really strange.
Shae is absolutely gorgeous. One of the best-looking girls I've seen on reality tv in a while.
The show was down on last weeks. 1.77(0.9) for the first half hour and 1.92(1.0) for the second. MTV can't be happy right now.

I don't know what you're watching...Snooki is a sexy bea...:puke:...nope, couldn't make it through that sentence.
Sammi was always hot to me. Better than JS? NOW WAY. JS brought some great liners and buffoonery.
JS season 3 being bad? Am I dreaming? I see if you say 4-6 or 5-6 but season 3 was amazing. And no just because she's short doesn't make her a beast. Everybody says Sammi because she's the "stereotypical beauty". J-Wow is attractive as well as Angelina.
Wow, so just about every new show that MTV has put out in the last year or so has done either mediocre or just bad.. Underemployed, IJWMPB, Snooki & Jwow, Washington Heights and now Buckwild. Basically everything besides Catfish. I find this really odd seeing how most of the recent shows that VH1 has came out with all seem to be a hit. Viacom runs both MTV and VH1, why is one doing so much better than the other? I always assumed that MTV was the more successful of the two networks? lol Maybe V1man can add some insight..
Snooki and JWOW is in it's second season so how did that do bad, Navy? Also IJWMPB is on hiatus atm. Sadly Underemployed was move to Saturdays which sucks because its a good show. But you are wrong for comparing it to Catfish though which isn't all of that either. And people are still watching VH1 shows outside of L&HH, BW and Mob Wives? LOL. Plus VH1 and MTV are two different networks anyway.

Probably not, since MTV and I have parted ways so it's not I would suggest, however, that if one takes a long term view, these things tend to run in cycles. Two years ago, MTV was up (largely because of Jersey Shore) and VH1 was nearly dead given that they had dropped their ratings driver, 51 Minds. (see 51 Minds » Shows) MTV has been hemorrhaging its audience in recent years, but it does not appear they are going to VH1. The appearance of reality programming across the wide spectrum of cable/satellite channels in addition to the greatly improved quality of scripted programming in competition with MTV's prime time offerings have likely contributed to the ratings decline, although it is certainly valid that some have moved to on-line viewing of MTV programming. The latter argument tends to leave out the fact that BRAVO, USA, A&E plus most of the other cable/satellite and broadcast channels also share the most popular programming on-line, too.
Buckwild isn't doing that badly though.
Buckwild isn't doing that badly though.
Yeah, I am not sure why people think it is failing. It was the highest rated non-syndicated cable show on Thursday night. It is also probably ridiculously cheap to make.
After reading Navy's and V1's(I had no idea you left even though I am a/can be such hard *** on you) post it does make me wonder what people think of Honey Boo-Boo and where that show stands as a whole. I mean i watched 3 episodes of that **** and wanted to barf. The mother is hella smart for putting the money they make in a trust fund though. I guess that Honey Boo-Boo and Buckwild crossover is out the window, yes? no? However TLC's reality show, well T-Boz is pretty cool.

I checked out after just reading my favorite TV writers' commentary and criticism from the "Up Fronts."
I blame Wendy Williams for pimping it out.
After watching 2 episodes I can say that I Hate This Show. I honestly tried to like this show but I just can't stand these kids I seriously hope MTV doesn't try to turn them into the next Jersey Shore or Teen Mom.
Giggidy, you're right. But I'm hating these types of shows excluding WH. Buckwild is the one with the dumb white kids, while Jersey Shore was with the fake Italians then there's Washington Heights that despite it's bad celebrity references is a pretty decent show I stan hard for. And why did you mention Teen Mom?

But back to Buckwild I think the main reason I dislike the show is that the cast are just redneck stereotypes I think if there was more to them I'd probably enjoy the show.
You know what really grinds my gears why is it that kids from Cali get their own reality shows, Guido's from New Jersey get a show, and Rednecks get shows how come the Midwest doesn't get a reality show preferably Chicago?
"Oh my god Tyler, that was so hot" - best line I've heard on a tv show in some time.
