This strategy was used in the international versions of The Traitors, so it has been done before even if not in the U.S. It also can only be done with certain challenges; as I noted in a previous post, in that first challenge with the shields there would have been no real way for Janelle and CT to hide that they had the shields because they so clearly went for them. I guess in theory Dan could have tried to hide his in that second challenge, but he still got it in the open (and then of course displayed it). This latest challenge was set up in a that it could be hidden who got them, which tells me TPTB don't care if the players keep it hidden. I think if Trishelle and Bergie had shown the shields to everyone, then Alan would have made an announcement.
And actually, wasn't this strategy essentially used in the first season of the U.S. version? I'm pretty sure I remember there being times where Arie had the shield and people didn't know he had it; was that because he intentionally kept it hidden? I can't remember the details.

Yeah, the armory; the groups that got to go to the armory agreed to not say who got the shield. So, same principle. The reason it wasn't a big game changer there is that Arie was a traitor. This next episode is potentially different because the traitors don't know for sure who if anyone has shields. That gets back to Dan/Parvati/Phaedra being dumb in all being in the same inside group on that challenge.
Wes and Veronica are the only 2 Challenge people I'd want to see on this.

For me, it';s not about liking them. I just think they'd be good at this game. Susie and Jemmye are two others I think would be great but they're not realistic. People like Devin, Tori, Nany, Kaycee, Josh, Fessy, etc that could, in theory, get a call would be awful at this.
I do think what makes this show good, other than the editing which has been amazing IMO, is the cast is older. Older casts seem to deliver more--not sure why that is.
Pete and Bergie though--bring those two to the The Challenge. They'd play the game. I liked Deontay until the crying/quitting.

I wish I knew where to stream this UK2 and AUS2. Every time I google it just circles back to the US ones.
Ive seen it on pirated sites and Ive been jumping through hoops to watch love island all stars through a vpn on itvx so I saw it on there but its honestly the most frustrating website Ive encountered when it comes to watching shows. I'm gonna watch it on a pirated site if the response is that it was a good season.
