Really? Why do you say that? I thought the premiere was great. The focus on camp life was something I rather enjoyed and getting to know the cast instead of the usual strategy talk.

IMO the premiere was good, but the 90 minutes were not really necessary, it felt dragged out. Also, the voting for this episodes was really exciting, for a moment I thought Baylor was going.

I thought the 90 minutes flew by haha. I suppose for people who like more of the gameplay and moves this was a better episode though. I'm glad my girl Kelley got some more attention tonight!
And getting to know the people playing the game. What fun is it to watch 18 bots play Survivor compared to 18 fun people with characters and storylines playing the game?

That's what made Gabon & Cagayan so much more enjoyable, the characters!

Exactly, Marcus and LJ were faily good players but they were boring. I'd much rather see Kass or Crystal return from their season.

I'll let Marcus slide, he did have a **** slip on episode 1.
I agree though I doubt it's accurate. With her kind of edit, I think Jacyln might have quit or something. She's gotten one confessional in two episodes.
This thread is not for spoilers. I hate spoilers for this and The Amazing Race.
I have to admit I liked Val's spunk. She reminds me of some friends of mine. Clearly Natalie is the less annoying sister. I would like to see her go far.
I don't love Baylor, but I don't dislike her. She's OK, but I see she is popular on here. She completely screwed her mom over when she "got hurt," which I think might have been strategy.
Rocker is a nut. Does he think the island is throwing up Idols? How can he have 1 and Val have 2. He's confused. I liked how Jon knocked him off when everyone thought Rocker was a shoe in.

Oh she definitely used her mom's pity against her.
I'm shocked that Jon and Jeremy lost tho considering they are huge guys.
This season is lame so far. It won't get good till the merge. This Exile Island twist is not right for this theme. I wish they would have kept RI instead and save this EI twist for another season. They're making this sending your loved one to Exile Island bigger than what it is.
Also, this Baylor chick was corny for what she did with her mom. She wasn't even bleeding! I don't like her. Actually I like no one on that tribe so far.

It puts a target on your loved ones back, see why Val is gone.
I'm glad there's no redemption island only because then twinnie might come back lol
Didn't someone go like 8 episodes in a row without having a concessional ? I can't remember who tho
Probably Purple Kelly.
Oh yeah I just checked her page on survivor wiki and it says she didn't have a confessional until episode 7. Aside from quitting she was useless
It's not like we would know lol. She got a totaly invisibile edit and the only reason NaOnka didn't is because she was involvded in so much drama and game moves.
Wow Val is an idiot and John is a bigger idiot for believing that. I don't like Josh right now. Something about him rubs me the wrong way and I'd like to see him go soon. Also it was cheap of Baylor to use that "injury" against her mom. I know it probably hurt but she looked like she was about to quit and start crying. She can leave right after Josh. There's really no one in Coyopa that I like so I'm all team Hanahpu. Hopefully one of them wins sole survivor.
Seriously, what was Val doing in this episode? Besides that, I have never seen anyone with less of a chance to win than John Rocker. Forget that he obviously has money from his past career which is bad enough. but he is a known horrible person. The only person I could think of from the past like that is Jeff Kent, rich and a horrible person. However, the show never showed him being a **** and he was basically just a gamebot obsessed with returning players.

He did give Barry Bonds a nice little dugout shove..........somewhat of a redeeming quality in my book.

I can name you a few on this season. Game-wise we didn't saw any of that (yet) besides the comment about losing to a girl, but that was clearly a joke. He helped the tribe and kept his word, but Val lied about having idols, so there's nothing horrible. I think the editors are just hyping the situation about him. I like players who can seperate the game and the outside world, judge him by his actions.
Nevertheless, I don't understand why people always evict these people so early. Keep them until F3 and get the easy win like Denise did. Perfect example.

I mean going into the show he is probably at the biggest disadvantage a contestant has ever been at, besides maybe returning players. People would dislike him without ever meeting him, just because what he said. I have hated him because of my dad since I was young.
However, completely agree, you should always bring the social pariah to the end.

I think Penner had the best strategy for this kind of people going into this game...around 00:18-01:25 and I think Rocker is doing a good job right now.

That's true about bringing unlikable people to the end, but they're only on like day 6. It's too early to think that far ahead IMO.
Got damn i'm not reading this thread again. Ugh so many threads I have to avoid because people on this site just love to spoil things for everyone. Ugh
Yes there's a second Jon haha. The one who admitted to losing the flint.
This was a fairly good episode though. I really do enjoy this cast and was sad that it came down to Val/Baylor. Hoping Julie ends up safe though.

I heard a couple times that Jaclyn makes final 3 I hope I like her

I hope that Jeremy doesn't try to get rid of Julie because John Rocker didn't protect Val.
Haha, he sure did!
