This should confirm NO MORE redemption/extinction/returning twist but sadly it'll be back.

Lynne Spillman the casting director got fired over this. I doubt it ever returns. Clearly they were not happy. With the way they edited the season they wanted everyone to be extremely ****** off and sad that their production pet Ben 2.0 Rick did not win.

Thought she was fired like two or three seasons ago.

I said this thr second they announced the theme, it's an unfair advantage. Hell reem never even met gavin or Julie

they had to have known this would be the downfall of the twist. It’s what they deserve tbh

they knew they just thought it would be Joe

I swear Redmond made a post she got fired when this season was still filming http://insidesurvivor.com/casting-director-lynne-spiegel-spillman-fired-from-survivor-34504

Wow, I didn’t even think about that. Insane.

Lynne doesn’t create twist and concepts...this makes no sense.

I mean you think Probst is going to fire himself?

A million dollars and a huge ****, if anyone was the big winner tonight, it's Chris's fiance.

O***** OFF SIA. Gifting Rick 100k. GMAFB!

And I think it is even more mind blowing because they literally gave us nothing on him. All I know is dude is a Dad. And he thought about quitting but didn’t. That’s all.

The best part of the entire episode was Jeff admitting, much like the audience, that even he forgot Victoria was on the show.

not too much on Queen Vic now

I have never been so embarrassed to be a Survivor as I was watching that preview for 39.

I love sandra but why does this theme exist? Her and rob are just gonna steal screentime from the people actually competing

Season 39 just ceases to exist to hype up season 40 honestly.

Well it makes me want to quit watching honestly, it’s so stupid and only hurts Sandra’s chances on 40.

Oh my God that theme is horrible. WTF.

This season's editing was a ******* mess. They could have at least shown Chris more on extinction than they did. I feel like we know literally nothing about him.

I agree but if they showed him more wouldn't it of been obvious he won with all the throwaway content he would of gotten? He got 23 confessionals which is still 8 more than poor Natalie White. They did that girl so dirty.

He's the worst winner in show history but he's also the hottest so that's something I guess.

TEA!

I feel like I got to know Chris's huge bulge better than him.

Lynne Spillman did not get fired. Her contract simply wasn’t extended and she was going to focus on Amazing Race casting.

Not true but ok.

He's the worst winner in show history.

I don't know about that. He did more in one episode than Natalie White did in an entire season.

Im not mad about Chris winning but im just like why lol. I preffered Gavin to win but I mean Chris played the best game possible with only 3 days left, but was also given an idol...

That theme was just stupid, they better not bring the Edge back.

also did anyone notice that Victoria didnt vote Gavin?

But at least Natalie can say she was in the main game for the entire 39 days.

So now that the winner is confirmed, I guess that rumor of someone coming back from eoe and making final 3/winning was true. Who would've thought Chris...

IIRC this spoiler was kind of lumped in with one that said Aubry made the end and lost again too so everyone kind of wrote it off after she left

He’s the worst winner ever by default due to all the listed reasons but at least it isn’t Rick. Lmao spent the entire season with the Jury talking to them every step of the way. The other two didn’t deserve it either, I’d be rioting if Lauren or Vic were there but I’m fine now

She wasn't saved twice by twists tho. He lost the first chance to reenter the game and then was handed a free idol. He played hard for the 12 days he was in the game but it's still just 12 days, not 39. He was voted out 3rd. Worst winner in survivor history.

Co-sign. The other terrible winners can at least boast playing for the full 39 days.

I'm not entirely mad about the results, but I'm not gonna pretend like Chris deserved it. It's not his fault this was the theme of this season, but that doesn't change the obvious.

If you are going to have a "redemptiion/Exile Island" situation every player needs to be isolated. Chris got to befriend every jury member, and let's remeber Reem never actually got to meet Gavin, but still got the vote . Also Chris got to run all the scenariors with the Jury about what it would take for one of them to get back in the game and actually win. And finally he got access to information no one in the real game actually would have, Kelly telling him Lauren had the idol.
