I never said VH1 didn't do black programming I said they didn't make it their focus until the sucess of Love & Hip Hop and Basketball Wives. Prior to that their selection of shows catered to everyone but now their shows are more focused on their Black audience. Portland got more viewers from Nia not because she is Black but the kind of Black person she is which is unapologetic in terms of her personality and demeanor. You kept mentioning Devyn who doesn't reasonate with the average Black audience with her synthethic wigs, corny jokes, and as someone who has openly stated she only dates White men. Jersey Shore is a all Italian cast with the exception of Jwoww who is Spanish/Irish and Snooki who is Chilean so why would they throw a Black person on there anyway? It wouldn't make sense. If you're talking about MTV's black shows flopping you've clearly never heard of **** My Ride, Run's House, and From G's to Gents which all had multiple successful seasons.

Hell Flavor of Love had a mixed cast but we know who the show was catered to. **** My Ride was hosted by a Black male who happened to be a rapper that speaks for itself in terms of Black shows. Once again you're misinterpreting my words because I said VH1 put a focus on Black shows not a Black audience. The kind of people you claim would turn people away on a show like Floribama Shore attract all types of people on VH1 which is why they have better ratings than MTV and their TV stars get booked outside the network unlike Bananas who MTV has been trying to make happen for years.

I'm going to make this real simple for MTV , replace Candice with Tya , Replace Aimee with Ashley M. , Codi with Hunter and Kirk with Marlon viewers are slightly familair with them and they could all bring the drama.
Like I said before I'll give everyone one more chance to prove themselves since the first season is always the hardest and they probably didn't think the show would be a huge success. If they don't step it up this season they definitely better start making some cuts. However I still think two more new roommates are needed to shake things up.
I think they’ll give them all a second shot and see if they’ll turn up. First seasons are always fish out of water seasons, the network is usually just looking to see if the dynamic is there then they’ll start swapping out.

I actually liked Codi? He's not someone you'd see on the Real World nowadays (aka overdramatic gym rat) so it was kinda refreshing
