LoL Ct started this rivalry, he was a **** to bananas on the duel and the Gauntlet 3 for no reason
On the duel ct did nothing they all were agreeing a rookies goin in and it wsd either johnny or tyler.. Derrick says it is probably going to be johnny ct says johnny too.. Johnny has done the same thing countless times to rookies sinces he has had power so i see nothing shady about that at all ...he even says now its what happens to rookies its tradition its even happening on the current season
G3 is where the feud and bad blood began imo
But evan never tried to stand up for jb and admitted he pretty much didnt disagree so bananas grudge was a bit misguided he should have been mad at evan bc evan wanted an easier win and vets ran with it
CT was an idiot for that move. It should have been Easy going in or Danny. Johnny definitely wasn't the worst on that team.
I think inferno 3 should be in there as well, johnny had a lot to say about ct after he punched davis which im sure added to the bad blood during gauntlet 3
Right but it wasn't just CT. Evan was supposed to be johnny's actual friend and admitted he wanted johnny or hinted to them he did. Obviously Big Easy was the worst for the final over Johnny but Brad and Kenny and them all agreed with it because they wanted to keep Evan on the team. It wasn't just CT, he was the only one who didn't play like he was scared to say who he was voting for, so he spoke up and they yelled. Everyone else had their head down not wanting to admit they all wanted Johnny to go in. CT just wasn't afraid to stand by his vote. Everyone else was shadier to me for acting like they were afraid to admit to johnny they wanted him to go in too. It does make CT look like the bad guy though since they were yelling at each other.
They wanted teh easiest win for Evan in the end, and big easy was soo big they were worried he'd get the tug of war game..I see the logic and it just so happens that big easy looked like a complete ******* with his "i dont lay down" speech when that's exactly what he did. I don't really see how having Evan though in the final was THAT important to them. If it was johnny instead of Evan, that'd been about the same to me imo . but oh well. everything looks different wehn you know the results. Swimming at the start was the worst possible case for a fat guy and Big easy was already quitting on the swim
I think Evan's shaddiness in all this is often overlooked. He was supposed to be Johnny's friend. He did kind of pass the blame onto CT like dude it was all CT not me. When Evan says in the talking heads he basically acknowledged without saying his name he wanted JOhnny.
CT def was at fault but he was one of many at fault and it seemed johnny was blaming him the most as far as holding a grudge towards him how he spoke about him in future shows.
Good points. Well they are all idiots for that move then. If they didn't want to throw in Easy then at least put Danny in. Danny sucks so much and Evan would have forsure beat him
I hate Backpack and I'm on and off with CT(although I am sick of him) but this rivalry was actually good and produced some good memeorable moments unlike some other rivalries like Wes/Kenny which didn't go anywhere and didn't produce anything memorable or entertaining IMO.

This was the last one true rivalry on the challenge that actually was sport/challenge related, I will put wes vs johnny there too, most of the rivalries now are about twitter fights, he stole my gf, or cheap gossip between the guys.
I never understood why bananas took so personal the game that CT played, I still remember how bad he bad mouthed CT on derrick podcasts and talked a lot of crap about him and his personal life there, and every single opportunity he had while CT never talked bad about him outside the shows.
CT only asked for him on the gauntlet 3 and the backpack thing no one really knew ct was going to carry him on that way , yet johnny made it seem like ct had killed his family or something just for the way he talked about him, lol he sure had a lot of hate towards CT.
CT was so unbelievably stupid & unreasonable on the Gauntlet 3...was he on some "other" stuff during that time period? The way he acted on that entire season was very off.
I skimmed thru that episode and Johnny really didn't say much about CT other than explaining what happened. Wasn't worthy of a highlight.
I was also considering making a part 2 showing stuff from Battle Of The Exes, Rivals II and Free Agents... but the rivalry was pretty much dead at that point. Everything from Rivals II and up is more so Bananas and Wes.
I disagree. Wes vs Kenny is very entertaining. Some of the best one liners on the show are from those two and are aimed against each other.

Why did you stop with Rivals 1? Their rivalry continued after that. Exes 1, Bananas won a final against his nemesis, Rivals2 Wes/Bananas/CT fight and CT winning it and FA where Bananas voted CT and their last elimination round. This rivalrly ended with Bananas being there for CT when Diem wemt home.
Which is why I'm considering a part 2.

I feel like the rivalry, at least as far as being a personal one, was squashed when they worked together on Exes 1. They went from hating each other on Rivals 1 to being pretty chummy from Exes 1 on out and it seems like they are actually friends now. Sure, there was some plotting against each other in recent challenges (CT trying to throw in Bananas early in Rivals 2, Bananas throwing in CT on Free Agents), but those were more gameplay moves than personal rivalry moves. Even the Rivals 2 dustup was more Wes vs. Bananas, with CT just having his partner's back.
You can have mutual respect for one another and still be rivals. I do think they both respect each other as competitors. Personally they seem to get along well enough.
They worked together on Exes because of Diem. Pretty much every season she was on and CT/Bananas were there, they didn't go after each other. She was like the mediator lol.
But yeah they definitely have respect for each other. I think they've actually liked each other as people just when it comes to the game they go after one another because it is the smart thing to do.
