That's not being racist, I am a server and that happens a lot with African Americans. She's speaking from her experience and I can relate.
There are many other groups that are also known not to tip, I see it as a fair question. I don't find it racist but I'm not black so others may have a different opinion than I do. Also...doesn't Nicole have black siblings? I'm sure it was just an honest question / thought.

Well in my experience, 8 out of 10 bad tippers are African Americans. That's probably her experience too. In fact, I live in Orlando, FL and I worked Saturday all day. The only people that didn't tip 20% were African Americans after they were incredibly demanding while every other guest I served that day was patient and friendly considering we were short staffed with Hurricane Irma coming. That doesn't mean I have anything against African Americans though, I'm just stating a fact saying that they don't tip right or tip at all.
