Its very possible her flight was delayed / cancelled due to the storms down south. I have friends in florida who had some delays traveling. Brit is in Georgia so that could have something to do with it

There are no storms in Georgia.
Getting to LA from Georgia would mean going through Texas or near it. You'd have to go up and over and no airlines do that unless your flight has a layover or something
