She used to be the alternate flown in late for like 3 seasons in a row. I don't think she is as big of a deal to the franchise as people think she was.
Free Agents, especially, but Rivals 1 was big for her storyline-wise.
For Battle of the Seasons 2, they were trying to do all Real World people. They really forced their alternate team (Camila was just on a Spring Break game. Lol.)
And for Rivals 2, someone like Jenn, who would have been a good female rival for her, stopped doing challenges. So they stretched things to make a rivalry between her and Cooke in order to bring her in after Naomi left.
Free Agents was such a massive cast, I'm sure she would have been there anyway.
