I wonder had Georgia not Dqed and Mattie quit, how would the elimination format work. Like would they eliminate more than one player for the kayaking for the top 4 to make it across or something?
Maybe they would have eliminated someone at the other stages of the second day: one at the trivia stage and one at the connect 4 stage.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I hated this final. I hate unnecessarily challenging finals in general. I'm not trying to see people kill themselves over money. Like they're reality personalities not athletes, why tf do they need to be running 50 miles in a hot *** desert?
I agree. And if theyre going to make them do it i want everyone to get a lot of money at the end to make up for the fact they survived through and not go home empty handed!
I mean I prefer this over the Final Reckoning Final, but this was way too difficult. Not sure why MTV can never give us a happy medium. We either get too easy or impossible.
I didn't like this final. It was too **** hard for no reason and that's the type of final I hate. It's why I hated the final of Rivals 1 and think that was one of the worst ones ever.
Theo came SO CLOSE to winning. We could've had our first black winner in forever had he not ****** up ****IT...But that's okay though. He's a **** good competitor and I definetly see him winning in the future.
Too Much Cara Maria. I didn't need to hear that ***** every 6 seconds. Glad she lost because I did NOT want her winning, and **** her for talking about "I don't want rookies to win".
KING TURBO WON! I'm glad we have a good ending to these shows for once. I hope he does another show.
Did anyone think that it was bogus as **** that they left Ninja there and just took the top 3 on that helicopter?

like thaats the thing this final literally just **** all over the competitors. it didnt feel like a celebration when everyone finished, after such a great season the final was so bleh and left me with a bad impression

I get where you're coming from but this final was definitely better than the way too easy ones. The first day was a bit much but day 2 was actually pretty cool.
I didn't get a bittersweet feeling at all. It definitely sucked for Ninja but I was so happy for the top 3. Was one of the few seasons in recent memory that had a nice ending and left you feeling satisfied since probably invasion. (FR, we all know Joss and Sylvia won that, vendettas was Cara and Zach so that's just awful, dirty 30 Jordan was an *** that season and Camila- again awful, you get my drift).

nah. if you're not first, you're last.
I usually agree with like 90% of your posts on the forum but this is where we disagree. My reasoning has several layers. This final was the hardest final that they have ever given in challenge history 50 miles long. There were 8 contestants that made the final. Also last season each place ie. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc were pairs. This season they’re individuals placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd.etc.. I think considering all my reasons, my rankings were fair.1st place should have got $1million2nd place $275K3rd place $100k4th place $15kof course 6th,7th, and 8th place get $0
I agree with this, after a final like this everyone deserved some money. I also don't like this "eliminating people during the final" precedent that was set. If you make a final, you should be allowed to compete through the whole thing. Or eliminate the last place person (for the WHOLE final up to a point, not the person who messed up one leg) I don't even like Cara and Hunter and I felt bad for them, I can only imagine how upset I would have been if it was Theo/Turbo/Wes that ended up getting eliminated.
people would have rioted!
@trees I understand you point, but I'm more of the mindset of, I don't care for participation trophies. I will give credit where credit is due, and top 4 were all deserving of a reward. They managed to overcome whatever obstacles that were placed infront of them during this final. Sympathetically speaking, Ninja should have gotten money, but competively, I like the idea of 1st place gets the pot and that's all.
@ohhaiii I like the eliminating the last player at the leg, but my caveat would be, it not being timing and just first person to the finish line. Like after each checkpoint or phases in the final, the poorest performer gets eliminated until they get to the final 4 if they want to keep these individual finals with one winner regardless of gender. I get the idea that if you make it to a final you should be able to complete it, but I also don't really agree with that everyone SHOULD complete it. A final is a final and if you can't avoid getting coming in last in a phase to avoid being dq'd, then you aren't deserving of competing the whole final. ya get me?
Also, does anyone know if they were intending to have a top 4 thing from the start? how would it work had georgia and mattie not dq'd. Would three people be dq'd at the kayak phase? would there be more phases to dq'd people? idk. I enjoyed the final. I liked all the finalists in their own respect. I also think Turbo is my baby daddy so I like that he won.
Probably my favorite final ever. This is how it should be done. I really liked the proccess of elimination concept within several stages and the whole "only the very best" reaches the furthest checkpoint, and also how they added Tribunal + 1vs1 elimination. Only thing is I wished it was male vs male and female vs female. Ninja and Cara little rivarly and comments against each other was kinda cool cause it was the competitive kind and not the drama bs, but was kinda overshadowed by the men they were competing against. Would've felt different and better imo if they were the last two on the female side and one of them won.
The whole top 3 was awesome, so great ending as well. Looking forward on seeing Turbo and other rookies on another season.

I appreciate that the reunion will be 2 hours and not 2 parts.. but I hate that the preview was mostly Johnny and Leroy..

Cara just gets worse and worse!!!! I hope Ninja comes back and targets her now.
