if this show were to be vets only it would get extremely stale. rookies are needed for the longevity and freshness of the show

if this show were to be vets only it would get extremely stale. rookies are needed for the longevity and freshness of the show
How so? They cast approximately 14-18 men & women for each show. They have 100s of options. The rookies aren't helping the show at this point. We see most of them once and they're gone--it's futile. See the "expect list" and fill the rest with others that want to do the show. Hell, just see the "up in the air" lists (yes, I know some are old) but you can easily have variety with the vets. Longevity--we're in Season 41 excluding the spinoff--easily over 50 shows now. "A new era" will fail and we'll go back to what it was. Like every time.

I don't think it's obsession. I think it's frustration that he is one of the few quality rookies with a track record of providing and they dropped him right before 39 and gave us a bunch of flop duds. It sums up the incompetence of production.

He won the first daily, immediately targeted the vets, and had them all on their back foot about to get knocked out.
And then production literally started flooding the game with more vets until he went home.
It was rigged and he needs to return. He's exactly what this show needs.
