The only thing that hurts about Seasons 2 is knowing Ashli was supposed to make her triumphant return and she would have won. The Road Rules team would have been nice too, but knowing we lost Ashli is almost too much to enjoy the otherwise phenomenal season.
BOTS2 was god tier and I can rewatch that season anytime.
This. Rewatched it recently and I forgot how good it was
It was literally Frank and Zach being awful, Alton being horrible and it lacked any competition to the point Trishelle Dustin Chet Sam and JD made a final.
But regardless that season got John the contract he did because they realized without have someone (or multiple people) like him ratings would suffer. Doing this is repeating a past mistake and then we'll see Tori & Friends forever moving forward

Being competitively strong has nothing to do with how fun a show is to rewatch

It does. This is a competition based show. People actually thought Marie and Jemmye could be strong after this season. The reality is whether you and others liked it the season was a disaster for the network and we saw how they cast after that. This season based on early speculation is guaranteed to do the same. Casuals aren't watching random people and a lot of long time diehards won't either.
this current season is all international. And many contestants are going home/struggling solely because of a language barrier when challenges are explained. On a cooking show!
good luck to this season not totally flopping, especially if it's traitors/social based and not physical.

When the whole field is somewhat weak it makes it entertaining plus those rookies came in to make an impact. 90% of that cast would have gotten the ghost edit if it was a regular season so it was cool to see people with no experience navigate the drama and the game instead of Bananas/vets and co dictating the whole game like normally.

I remember looking on Reddit , and it was a post about "What season was the worse," and BOTS2 was in most of the answers. But having watched that season after committing to the show around FA/Exes 2, it just boils down to the viewing audience hating change.
Was some of the cast insufferable? Yes but so were some of the same vets we got every season. They were just around long enough for the viewing audience to get used to them. The only thing separating the Vacation Alliance and the JEK currently was one benefitted from interesting, well edited seasons.
Remember when AYTO's presence was downright detested? Now Tori and Devin are casual fan faves.
Doesn't help a lot of the BOTS2 rookies either fell off, or took big breaks (Marie for example). Zach, Nany, and Jonna were the only ones to do the next three seasons after and cement themselves.
People forget the JEK had an overwhelming presence; even when one or two would be on break, the other had enough skin in the game to take control.
You'd have an underdog team or two slide to the end, but politically every season had a team that was set to be in the final. BOTS2 at least opened the door was something fresh. The next three seasons were entertaining enough.
I disagree with KMV statement that the competition side of BOTS2 was unwatchable. I personally loved watching Daddy Zito and Zach fight over balls in oil
i don't get how Bravo is allowed to show drama and fights but MTV can't? anyone have a reasoning?
It's not that they are "allowed" to. It's just Bravo knows their audience and caters towards them. MTV is trying to completely shift their audience/demographic for no apparent reason after decades of success promoting drama and fights
I might have to follow in LavenderVeto's footsteps and become a Bravostan. They get that drama sells and is entertaining...which is why their ratings thrive.
over 3 million? god damn. is vanderpump rules even good i have no idea what that show is even about
very good. Those first 2 seasons are some wild tv
i've yet to watch a single non-eliminated based reality tv show that has ever interested me in my life. they all bore me to death but maybe ill give this a try
funny for her to say giving her season of big brother is famously known for having some of the most rotted reality tv contestents in the show's history.

You only think that because people watch them 24/7 and see every negative moment and people only look for the negative so it's highlighted, spotlighted, and blown out of portion.
Production will see Bravo's ratings and how they increase on more dramatic episodes and then still edit to make sure we get nothing but bedroom strategy whispers and boring sentimental calls home.

Oldschooler they were saying slurs and telling people to watch what they say in the dark around black people because they might not be able to see the *****. I think it's okay to say they were terrible human beings
Its okay to not cape for every piece of Reality TV predating 4k.

I skim through messages and misread. I thought he was talking about BB casts in general. He was referring to her season specifically and yes 15 had some truly vile people on it with terrible things said and done. I was wrong there, my apologies.

Cable tv isn't dead they just need more scandal and drama to revive this show like vandepump rules just did this season

@production, people like DRAMA
Have any vanderpump rules people ever been contacted for a challenge? I'm sure they now will be if they haven't been before lol

Because since the merge with cbs & becoming Paramount they have the same mentality as this person to "class up" the network
